Matt and his crew of Jacob and Christian went far above anything I expected. I called Matt on Saturday afternoon because my sump pump broke and basement had water everywhere. Within 5 minutes of submitting request for a quote he called. Within 30 minutes he was here assessing. Within an hour he had dryers and dehumidifiers set up. He called to check in on Sunday and was here Monday morning. Tuesday morning Jacob and Christian arrived and emptied everything that was damaged by water (and more). They filled a giant dump truck. They were so polite and careful. Right down to the sweeping! I felt like I was dealing with service the way it was years ago. I could not have asked for anything more.

Matt and his professionals did an absolutely outstanding job! he was always available for contact and he worked around our schedule. All the hardwood flooring had to be replaced along with kitchen cabinets, sheet rock walls and water damage to the basement ceiling and carpet. The quality of their work was well beyond expectations. Matt was an absolute pleasure to work with! He is very knowledgable, and explained very clearly what had to be done to remediate mold in our summer lakehouse basement and gave an accurate timeline for the project. Matt stands out from most other contractors I've dealt with in that he was always punctual, communicated throughout the project and responded to any of my emails, messages or phone calls within a day. Matt was and his team were amazing! To begin with he responded to my voicemail within 5 minutes and said he would come look at my situation in 1 hour. He was there in the said 1 hour. He looked at the damage I had and said he would leave to go get men and equipment from another job and return in 1.5 hrs. And, again he returned in the promised amount of time. By the end of the afternoon all the wet carpet had been removed, furniture moved and mold discovered. He suggested a mold expert (I had no idea who to call), called him and set it up for him to contact me. Once the mold expert came and did his inspection and issued his report Matt and his team returned and followed the report to safely and appropriately remove all the moldy materials. After that work was done, several days of dehumidifiers running and a follow up onsite review and report by the mold expert giving the all clear Matt and his crew started rebuilding my basement. He had good suggestions and the work was completed to my wishes and satisfaction! I found Matt to be honest, trustworthy and committed to making my finished basement the way I wanted it. He stayed in constant touch via text with me and got back to me quickly answering and questions I had. After the initial disaster discovering my flood I felt very fortunate to have found CleanBright Surface Restoration because with 1 phone call they did it all. From soup to nuts as they say. After a basement flood and a horrible experience with another company, I found CleanBright on Angie's List and reached out to Matt. After describing my predicament, he immediately came out to my home, inspected my basement, and gave me a reasonable quote for the needed work to remove wet insulation and debris, dry my basement, and treat exposed wood with a solution to prevent mold. Matt and his team were phenomenal in both their work, professionalism, and simply being pleasant to speak to. Exceptional results from an honest and diligent contractor! After a relative in Troy, N.Y. passed away at home, our family (all of whom live downstate or outside of New York) searched for a contractor who could perform a whole house cleanout and then remediate years of accumulated tar and nicotine buildup from the interior of the house (our relative was a heavy smoker). We met Matt from Cleanbright Surface Restoration early in our search, and he proved to be a real blessing. He was courteous, genuinely compassionate, and so easy to work with. He gave us a very reasonable quote for the job and then spent the better part of 2 weeks with his crew, clearing everything out of the house and the two garages on the property, removing the carpeting and cleaning the nicotine coating from the interior surfaces of the house, and then priming the walls and ceilings with a primer/sealer. We also had him replace a damaged acoustic tile ceiling in the living room with drywall, and he even did some minor plumbing work for us. He was so trustworthy and professional throughout the entire process that we didn't hesitate to leave the house keys with him during the project. The results were amazing - a complete transformation of the home, all at the agreed price! We're so happy that we hired Matt and his company; we feel truly lucky that we found a contractor who was so reliable and honest and did such a great job! When I first saw a mold problem in my interior ceiling, I called a local company a few miles away from where live that advertises mold and fire restoration services extensively on local TV channels, “First Response”. Don’t waste your time. They need to change their name to Slow/No Response. I had to chase them down just to get a quote and then they never returned follow-up calls and voice mails. From Angie’s List, I found a highly rated mold remediation company called CleanBright Surface Restoration. I can tell you that Matt, the owner, and his crew are very professional and reliable. They showed up on time, and worked carefully, and did a very good job on time and on budget. When the mold problem was diagnosed to a leaky roof peak vent, Matt contacted a roofer to come in and replace the roof shingles for me. This was a great help because most roofing companies were backlogged due to the rainy summer and weren’t taking any new jobs. You can’t find a better mold remediator the Matt,

A broken water heater discharged most of the tank throughout the basement, including the crawl space. While we had cleaned up a goodly amount of water, there was quite a bit in the crawl space, and I was concerned about wet insulation and and the wood framing in addition to water underneath the shelving and storage in the basement. I called Cleanbright in the early afternoon, and Matt called back within the hour. He came over that same afternoon to determine what needed to be done, and returned later to set up the fans and dehumidifiers to dry out the basement. He set everything up, and gave me the time frame expected to dry the basement thoroughly so there would be no mold or mildew. He also called the day after the equipment was put in to check on how things were going. Matt returned again the next day and checked the basement, which was completely dry, from insulation to wood, and he and Chris removed all the equipment quickly and neatly. We were very pleased with the service and fast response and the good results. I would use them again and recommend Matt and his company highly.

They quickly addressed the issues I was having in my home, and demonstrated a level of customer service, flexibility and homeowner empathy that you don't often find these days. Our sump pump died and our basement flooded. Matt, owner, of Cleanbright and his crew were fantastic. He and the whole crew were polite, professional and great to work with. He communicates very well and handled things with my insurance company. They had all the equipment to dry out the basement after removing sheetrock. They replaced and replaced it and repainted and moved stuff back into place. Thanks to his quick response we avoided any mold or mildew issues. On top of everything else they were very neat and clean. You would never know there had been an issue.

This is my second experience with Matt and he was again excellent. Problem: water seepage into basement with resulting mold sufficient to make me physically ill. Matt arrives on time with his assistant, gets to work and completes the work from day to day until complete, excepting weekends. He is open to discussing alternatives that may be less costly and to trying these alternatives, with the express understanding that these may not work sufficiently and more thorough work, additional work may be needed. It is always clear that the work being performed is necessary, and if additional work is needed, the new work would build on the prior work done. So there is no wasted work, and little to no downside to trying a more limited approach to see if that is sufficient. I can always call him to come back and upgrade, which in this case would be to install a ditch around the inside perimeter of the basement for drainage to the already installed sump pumps. The cost is entirely reasonable given the amount of work performed and the time commitment involved (almost 5 full work days). I recommend Matt without reservation.

I recently contracted with the owner (Matt) to repair a home that was damaged by mold and in need of reconstruction. Let me say that Matt is a real pro and a nice guy to work with. He always kept me informed on his progress and any added costs. He used high quality products at a very reasonable price when compared to other estimates. I could not be happier with the results and would highly recommend him to anyone.

Matt was excellent, professional and extremely reasonable with respect to cost. I cannot say enough good things about Matt and his crew. I would hire them again without hesitation. With respect to my basement problem, Matt was open to working with me on a “temporary” fix. He removed all of the boxes and items I had stored in the basement so that I could choose which to save/discard, cleaned up the water that was there and then chemically treated and destroyed the mold. In a couple of days I could breathe again and the daily migraines and nausea were gone. This cost $1,800, which I found extremely reasonable. It’s been over a month and to date the cellar continues to be bone dry.

I can't recommend Matt and his crew (especially RJ and Chris) highly enough. They are true gentlemen who are prompt, trustworthy, and do all-around fantastic work. Matt helped us through every step of what was an extremely stressful time for our family, working closely with our inspector to make sure everything was done right the first time. He kept in close contact with us as we had to move out of our house while the air scrubbers worked; he was always available via phone, email or text. His estimate was detailed, accurate and fair, and he discussed with us the concerns he had that might cause additional services/charges to be rendered, so there were no surprises. All in all, the repairs took the estimated two weeks, and we were blown away by Matt's attention to detail in matching paint and carpet. We came home to a beautifully clean site, with our new carpet vacuumed and the wonderful surprise of not just a paint patch job, but the entire wall re-done. Very good. They removed black mold. They refinished my whole second story. They removed some drainage problems. They removed the water, we had black mold because of that. Put in a couple of drainage ditches for my front yard all the way to my backyard. They work very well. For the time they put in, I would say the price was good but I don't have anything for comparision. The quality was very good. The drainage was to take the water far into the backyard instead of right there where I had the mold. they put 2 drainage systems out into the backyard and I don't have any problems at all.

He provided the details that our insurance company needed, and they accepted his quote and we were able to get the water damage repaired. - Matt and his staff are very easy to work with. Contacted Cleanbright surface restoration because we had a small amount of mold in our crawl space. Matt Golemboski, the owner, returned my call right away and was at my house within 2 hours to do an inspection. Matt agreed with the mold inspector that remediation was required and insulation needed to be removed. Matt submitted a concise proposal that night. Cleanbright began the job the following day and kept us up on the process. The job was completed within the proposed time frame and all materials and waste were removed. We are very happy with the work Cleanbright did and are assured if any problems arise they will fix them.
