It was a quality workmanship. They are very neat and very clean. They cleaned up after themselves.

They were fine. We did not have any problems with them. They did fine with the work they did. I think their pricing is reasonable. Everything was done properly. They got there when they said they would.

There quote for the Generac generator was competitive, but you could tell they excelled at understanding home electrical systems and the wide range of solutions to consider. We had a potentially dangerous electric panel that one of the other big companies in the area did not even noticed. And, after studying some of the differences between each of the 3 companies we were considering, they had the best plans for a competitive price. Key points included using pre-formed concrete pad instead of just gravel, using GenReady electric panel and, of course, servicing what they sell.

Received 3 bids and Ambrose was the least expensive by a small amount. They also were the only one of the three bidders who proposed to bolt the generator onto a concrete slab, which I preferred because the generator could not tilt or wander. (The others proposed to place it on gravel.) The generator provides power to the furnace, deep-well pump, sump-pumps, furnace, refrigerator, water heater, microwave and some lights. The installation went very smoothly. The crew arrived on time and were friendly and efficient. The propane tank was installed and connected to the generator soon after, and one of Ambrose's crew came back to start and test the generator right away . In the last two years I estimate that we have lost power for a total of 4 hours. On each occasion the generator started promptly and everything has worked fine. Later I hired Ambrose to replace a very old circuit-breaker panel, and that job went equally well.

The serviceman was knowledgable and focused in on the problem right away. He did an excellent job repairing the electrical problem in a timely manner.

Service man came at time scheduled and performed all the necessary maintenance. He was very professional and completed the task on a timely basis.

Excellent experience and work. The visit on estimates was on time and professional. Quotes on the upgrade and the generator were clear and easily understandable. The upgrades were completed in timely and professional manner and in accordance with estimate and contract. We have deferred decision on generator for now but anticipate selection of Ambrose when the time and situation is right.

It was a horrible experience. First they sent out one guy who did not do the job right and then they said they would send out another one but did not. They tried to bill me in advance for the job but I did not pay them until the job was done. They did not charge me per hour; instead they charged by job. My advice to others is to be careful because you never know what to expect from them. It was a nightmare and they provided horrible quality but they came on time; I can't complain about that.

The tech arrived on time. He thought he was just going to replace ceiling lights. Actually they were a new installation. That didstop him. He called his office and explained the situation. He immediately started the job. No complaining. He was very professional. You don't have to wait weeks when you call for an appointment. They come in a short time. I would always recommend Ambrose Electric. They are DEPENDABLE.

Installed natural gas powered residential generator. Brought in a preformed concrete base and completed the installation plus transfer switch in the basement quickly and professionally. Cleaned up any refuse and left both the basement and yard in good condition. I would have scored overall as excellent except for the fact that the installer did not turn the generator "on" before he left. So the first time we lost power to the house, which was over a week-end, we were left in the dark. I called the "emergency" number several times but no one returned my call. Luckily the power was off only for a short time. When I did speak to a representative on Monday, someone came over and corrected the problem the same day. But I could have had a very wet basement if the power did not return when it did as I had already sold my gasoline back-up generator by then.

I called several electrical contractors to have my electric service upgraded to 200 amps. I decided on Ambrose because they had done major work for me before, their price was fair, and I liked their professionalism on the previous job. I was not dissapointed. The work was scheduled very shortly after I viewed and signed the proposal, the electrician who did the work arrived on time and finished the work in a day. He was pleasant, he addressed any concerns we had about the time the power would be off (which he kept to a minimum), he worked diligently, and cleaned up afterward. He even stopped back the next day to check up on the job. I would definitely recommend Ambrose and hire them again for any electrical work I needed to have done.

They showed up on time and ran a portable generator while the main power was off. The coordination with National Grid went smooth to have the power cut and re-done later. We will use them again for future electrical service. Overall they did a great job. On a side note: I believe Angies List has spelled the business name incorrectly. Should be Ambrose.

Ambrise Electric was fast and did an excellent job. They never asked for money because I guess they knew it was a homeowner's thing.

They were very prompt. They were efficient. The cost estimate was right on target. They did very good quality work and didn't leave a mess or anything. I would definitely use them again in the future.

Very professional service from start to finish. Todd (my contact at Ambrose) came and gave me an estimate and as soon as I accepted it he contacted the utility company and arranged to meet with them to ensure that the work would be done in a manner acceptable to them (specifically, that the new cable would be located appropriately). As soon as I told Todd about the leaks, he sent someone over to fix them, and throughout the project he was very good about returning phone calls and keeping me up-to-date as to what was happening. He coordinated with the utility company as well as with the city inspector to get the work approved. Both the men who did the actual work were efficient and professional, and left everything in good order. The only delays in the job arose from the difficulty of getting appointments with the utility company, but Todd kept on top of that. This was a good company to work with, and I have already recommended them to two friends.

The problem involved a ceiling fan, and they corrected the matter quite quickly. Overall, I was quite pleased with them. They were prompt, reasonably priced and courteous. The young man who came out to do the work was very professional, was here on time and did very good work. I have used them in the past too. I would rate them highly and would probably call them again in the future if necessary.

Todd came out to give estimate. Very professional and courteous. He emailed me the estimate the next day. After I signed contract, Todd scheduled me within 2 weeks. Service man showed up right on time at 8 AM. Worked all day. He was great. Did all work requested. Cleaned up. Great job.

showed late on the day they scheduled to come and do the work, rescheduled for the next day. When I called to get an estimate of arrival time the technician didn't have my appointment on the list. I was supposed to hear back on the phone from someone to answer questions about wiring for high speed Internet and there was never a call. I was very disappointed in the overall lack of follow through with this company as I relied on the "A" rating they received here on Angie's List.

I feel very safe calling this company for any of my electrical needs. They are a very professional company from the people who answer the phones to the service people. They are courteous, friendly and professional. The repair person was punctual and fully prepared to fix the problem. Both service people that came to make repairs took the time to listen to my questions and concerns about what they were fixing and other problems that may need fixing.

Company was recommended by a co-worker who had similar work performed. Sales person and installer were prompt, courteous, and professional. Company was timely in co-ordinating with National Grid for removing power. Workmanship of installer was excellent. Worker observed safety precautions and kept the working area clean. I highly recommend this company.
