Allied Waste Services Of Albany

We were swayed by the door to door salesman that came to our house and we set up new service with Allied waste. Trash pick up was never on time and often delayed by a day. We were told that substitute drivers often change the route. The billing is a mess and in the year that we had service with them we never received a paper bill. Instead I had to guess what my charges and taxes were and send a check hoping that I paid enough. I called several times and asked to speak to a manager and still have never received a call back. We terminated our service a couple weeks ago and they still have not picked up the trash cans or sent us a final bill. Overall the company has poor customer service and scheduling. No one wants trash sitting on the curb for days.

I have had problems with them in the past. I have even threatened to report them to the consumer protection bureau, because they had charged me for wood pick up which I did not do. I called them and they admitted that it was a mistake, however they never took it off of my bill. I do not like them very well, however they are contracted to take care of the area so I do not really have a choice. There is a monthly fee for the garbage pick up and the recyclables once every two weeks. They change the cost almost every week. In order to come up with the charge there is a county tax, an environmental recovery fee, and the amount to make up the fuel for the truck.
