+ -1 moreWell, first of all, I am in really no position to judge. I've never used the pest control from them before. They seem quite thorough. We have three attics in this house. He went into three attics, garage, shed, and the basement. There was really a lot he had to search out and he did them all. Their work is warrantied for a year. If we have any returning mice, unpaid tenants, I call them, they'll come back and do the warranty. We will have the option of renewing, but, it will cost about $500 for the renewal next year. They seem to know what they're doing. That's the best I can tell you. The guy was knowledgeable, pleasant, came on time, and seemed to know what he was doing. The price seems expensive to me. He's came on time, he was polite, he was professional, and he appeared to know what he was doing. They were easy to get a hold of and they were responsive. The guy was very pleasant. He spent time going over what he was going to do and what the problems are. He took the time to go through all of this with us. I like that. That is my comment. I expect we will use them in the future.
Description of Work: We use Absolute Pest Control. In fact, we just used them. They were just here last week. We just got finished using them. They were here three times. The first time we got an evaluation. The second time, they laid some traps for mice. The third time, they came back, removed the traps, and closed up areas around the house outside where mice could come in. It's about $900, I would have to pull the bill.

We purchased the year long contract that also included rodent control to help us clear and prevent insects and rodents from making a nest in our home. They were AWESOME. She would come out spray, place or check baits. She was always cautious regarding where she put things or sprayed due to our dog and our kids. I would hire them again in a heartbeat!

+ -1 moreThey were really on top of it. They treated me very well and explained things to me. They went above and beyond other people that we have had in the past. I would tell others to go forth with them. I have a couple of bushes that are against the garage and they said that the bugs are very smart. They will go beyond the trees and they will jump on to the roof and they told me not to have those bushes against the garage because that’s how they get on. I was extremely impressed with them. I would tell others to give them a try because they will feel the same way as I do. For what they did, it was well worth what I had to pay. Their responsiveness was excellent because they came back without hesitation another time after they had come 3 times because I was concerned about something. If you need them to come out, they will come out. They send the same person whom they first start you with and so the same person comes back each time; so you get to know that person.
Description of Work: I used Absolute Pest Control. They went out in to the yard and sprayed for ants and the other things. They did the trees and rooflines too.

From my perspective there was dramatic immediate decline in pest activity within 24 hours and no further activity was noted within 48 hours. VERY successful effort - FANTASTIC service from the moment I called to schedule! Would recommend HIGHLY and if the need arises again I wouldn't call anyone else!
Description of Work: Evaluation and remediation of mice/bats. Checked whole house very carefully and provided detailed evaluation prior to addressing the issue.

Description of Work: They came and set up a one way door to allow squirrels to leave our attic, and to prevent them from returning. Then they removed the door and repaired the sofffit where the squirrels had entered the attic.

+ -1 moreI thought that the services that were performed were completed in a professional manner and that they did a great job. The cost was very reasonable. I will continue to work with the company in the future.
Description of Work: I orginially call Absolute to assist in controling the moles in my yard. Matt was able to trap 2 moles during the summer months, but there are more that will need to be caught next season. I also, hired Absolute because I had mice in my attic. Matt was able to catch all the mice in the attic. He plugged up the areas of the house where a mouse could access. The attic and than cleaned and reinsulated. I was very happy with the work that they did. They were very professional, never tracked into the house and I have not experienced any mice in my attic since. The amount listed was the total for trapping moles and exterminating and cleaning up of the mice in the attic, which I thought was very reasonable. My only complaint is about the office staff. They seemed to be confused about setting up appointments. You need to keep on top of your own schedule, because most likely they will not call to make another appointment date, you need to take the initiative.

We haven’t seen any ants since they treated but they guarantee their work so we can call them back if we see anything. I didn’t really compare prices but I think they are pretty fair. Everything was thoroughly explained and we knew what the price was going to be before they did the work.

We were very satisfied with our experience with Ed and Absolute Peset Control and would not hesitate to use them again. Cost was fair for product and time at our home rendering seervice.
Description of Work: We called yesterday about a pervasive ant problem, Absolute Pest control responded same day and were here first thing this AM. Ed Nordby did a great job of listening to our challenges with these pests and advised us about their natural habits and where they enter our home. Our house was treated inside and out with granular and liqued, no scent products.

Description of Work: Obsereved several insect and bug issues, bee/yellow jackets above front door entry most concern. Inspected various concerns and identified bees/yellow jackets as only real issue. Provided good information and explained one service or yearlong program (as noted in other reports). Treated problem successfully.

+ -1 moreAbsolute came out and the yellow jackets died off within a week afterwards. I thought they hadn't completely died off and called Absolute to come back and they were all over it. A little pricey but they stand by their work.
Description of Work: I had a serious yellow jacket problem near my bathroom exhaust fan on the exterior of my house. The yellow jackets numbered into the hundreds.

+ -1 moreI found numerous dead bees on the floor and window sills of a spare bedroom on Saturday afternoon. The next morning I was able to identify where they were coming into the room (through a hole they had made through the sheetrock taping in the closet). I called APC (after consulting Angies List) and the owner Rick Zalucki arrived within 2 hours. He did a very thorough job---introducing a dust into the cavity between the sheetrock and outside wall where the bees had expanded their nest. He sealed the opening they had made into the house. He then sprayed the exterior area where the nest entrance was located. He told me I could expect perhaps a few stray bees over the next day or so but if more appeared, I was to notify the company immediately. I saw 2 the next morning and none since---apparently the treatment was very effective. I was impressed by his professionalism and courtesy and though I hope never to have need of his company's services again, I would not hesitate to call again if the need does arise.

+ -1 moreSpraying and baiting for carpenter ant infestation Very professional exterminator, did a thorough search for nests inside and out, very informative. A week later, called them again because ants were still present, they dropped off more baits (which work wonderfully, but it was so gross watching a line of ants marching to and from the bait trays). Finally got close to finding the nests and a third time they came out, sprayed once more (free) inside and again outside. It's been a week and I haven't seen an ant! I'd use them again, but it was more than I wanted to spend (495 to spray inside and outside until they are gone, and then again spraying outside in fall and next spring). The cheaper option of $295 for a one-time visit seemed like too much of a gamble for us. We had ants everywhere, on both floors of our home so we knew this was beyond our abilities to handle with just homemade bait. The woman on the phone was professional, they don't have any answering service for the weekend, which may not matter to some, but when my bait trays ran dry, I wanted more (and fast!). Chris who came and sprayed was personable, efficient, courteous, overall a great impression. I'd recommend, but I did my homework on this darn carpenter ant beforehand so I sort of knew what to expect. Chris recommended pruning our tree to get the branches away from the building, etc. I chose this company based on previous Angie's List reports, so I didn't price-compare, but it was pricier than I expected by $100-150. Still they were responsive and helpful (and effective) so I would recommend them.
Description of Work: Searching for the carpenter ant nests, took 45-60 mins (he didn't rush thru this). Then spraying all around the exterior of the house with some ant killing wonder drug that doesn't hurt my kids. He also sprayed around my dishwasher and under the sink near the pipes, and also sprayed in the basement in suspect areas. He put out two trays of bait, (where the kids couldn't get near them) and said "give it a week, you may see more of them when they find the bait; don't kill them once they eat the bait, let them bring it back to the nest." (Carpenter ants share their food (regurgitation) so they can poison their buddies. Gross! A week later I needed more bait (I had that many ants and still more around), they dropped off two more baits, and another week later I was still seeing a few per day near the front door, so I called again. They came back a week later and sprayed inside again, and left more bait trays. The services cost $495 for the plan I got, which was they would come as often as I called (weekly was suggested) until the ants were gone, (spraying inside again, if needed--which they did), and then come again in fall and next spring to spray outside the home to keep the ants outside. The other plan was $295 which was a one-shot deal, (spraying once inside and once outside), and seemed like too much of a gamble to me, with the quantity of ants we saw running thru the house. Glad we chose the $495 plan. This happened over a period of 4 weeks, because you wait a week once they treat, to see if you have more (which I did) and then they come back within 5-7 days to treat again.

+ -1 moreExcellent. Rick returned my call to his office asking about if doing both units of a 2 unit townhouse would be less than one time 2, and it was, only a little more than doing one. Showed up a tthe appointed time. Appeared to do a thorough job, looked at all sills in cellar, attic space, garage and outside. I had called because I thought I had seen evidence of perhaps carpenter ants when I removed some baseboard in the kitchen There were no major problems. Rick gave me pointers about some things I could/should do myself, as far as spraying and baiting. Pointed out that I had some kind of bee (he knew, I've forgotten) boring under my bay window and told me what I should do about it. Did not high pressure me at all. In fact I out and out asked him if I needed to buy a preventive service plan, and he said unless I noticed increased activity I didn't need to.
