Description of Work: Left a message at his office. He got back to me 2 days later (which I think is acceptable). He came on time. Very professional. Had an assistant/apprentice with him. Jim was very patient is answering my questions about the problems at hand and plumbing issues in general. He checked/serviced the boiler and replaced an outdoor hose connection/valve. He inspected a leaking sink but could not figure out the problem, though. He offered to return if the problem persisted (which it is), and I will likely call him back.

Description of Work: I asked the contact person to come to give me an estimate. At first he said there would be a charge. I declined and he called back and said that he would come by to do the estimate. Since I had called other plumbers I asked to get his name and number again. He gave them to me on the condition that I would tell him how many estimates I had gotten. When I told him three he got angry and never showed up.

Description of Work: We have used Jim over the years for many plumbing services for a two key reasons: 1] When you contact him, he shows up; and 2] He fixes things when possible then advises you when it makes no sense to keep fixing things. We have found his services to be very important when the pipes froze, when the old toilet packed up, when we had hurricane related issues, when the new dishwasher would not connect, etc...
