Great job done. The work was excellent.

One word: Excellent. Rick and his team are highly professional and they got the job done correctly and promptly. I received mulitple quotes from contractors and I choose Rick because he was knowledgeable, professional, and very easy to work with. Rick valued my time and made sure the work was done properly. He went above and beyond to get the job done.He was very respectful to all of my employees. I had mulitple bad experiences with other contractors, but not one problem with Rick. I will definitely be doing more business with him.

crew came in got to work. in and out in about half a day. the work seems to be satisfactory. crew appeared to act in a professional manner with efficiency.

Overall excellent. Rich was professional and did exactly as advertised as well as offered advice and pointers for other do it yourself projects. I would recommend his services to others.

Unfortunately, Mr. Marchewka never responded to the initial request for service (we paid upfront as part of an Angie's deal). After finally contacting him and letting him know - he did come by. Unfortunately, I (the wife) hired him, but he seemed to only want to speak with and address the husband. I'm a CEO of a software company, I get that alot - annoying but not worth firing him over. Unfortunately - we never heard from him again. We're trying to get our money back from Angie's list - but no work was done - none of the estimates and work that he said he would do has been done, so we're moving on.

Rick was supposed to show up last week, but never showed and hasn't responded to call backs to follow up on the appointment. He was also very rude when we tried to set up the initial appointment.

After a few more weeks, RIck and his crew were able to schedule a day here. While he himself is very personable, the crew was aloof and unfriendly, a far cry from teams that have accompanied other contractors. No eye contact, no hellos. They were here for most of the day, removing the rotted window frame and sill and replacing it with glass block and cement. The work is excellent. This basement window included the outflow pipe from the sump pump, and they incorporated it well and firmly. They also did an excellent job on the floor hatchway that is the only way into our basement. Because it's also part of the laundry room floor, it is very sturdy and heavy, which made it difficult to lift and somewhat dangerous. They removed the hatch and cut it into two equal sections, then reinforced both, replacing them so that the hatch can be lifted in two stages. Rick himself is very pleasant to speak with, but isn't good at communicating delays or ( apparently) predicting his schedule. The uncertainty about when (even whether) he would appear would make his company an unlikely choice for us in future. Even on the day he came, the timing was disconcerting -- he'd called a day before and said they'd arrive around 10, and asked if I needed a call when they were coming. I said no. My experience is that people show up a half hour before to an hour after the time they say, but he and his crew arrived 3 hours early. Since that made it around 7 a.m., it was a bit more of a surprise than I was prepared for. Still, the work was well done.

It did not go at all, he did not return my call and he did not show up or call for time we had scheduled to meet. It is unfortunate despite the positive reviews for this contractor.

Rick arrived at the designated time. He and crew, Taylor and Mike, were professional,courteous and hardworking. The jobs were completed to my great satisfaction and look skillfully crafted. Rick made a huge effort to do this work economically, while still maintaining a top notch product. It's a great relief to find a well trained professional. Thanks to Angie's list and Rick Marchewka!

It went very well. We had a little communication problem and it was weather related stuff so it took a while to get it going but once it was done, it went very well. I wasn’t pleased with the price but I was very pleased with the results. The price is more than I expected even if you’re consulting how much is the cost.

I purchased 3 hours of carpentry work through Angie's List for $159.00. Rick was rather booked up but he kept in touch with me and we were able to get the job scheduled. He made sure to stop out before the scheduled date to ensure he had what he needed and was able to locate hard to find trim to match what was rotten. One of his team did the work and it looks great. I will have him back out for future jobs.

I bought 3 hours of carpentry work. I had a list of things I needed done. He could not complete one task in the 3 hours and I would need to hire his crew at an hourly wage per each member. Felt like he just offered this ad to make more money on any job. Nice man, but not going to be taken advantage of. Too bad.

It went on very well, they worked very well, they actually did a lot of good work for the house, I am very pleased for the work they did. And I would use them again.

Update--I forgot to mention that Rick and his crew replaced some rotten brackets on my back deck which were not even part of the job, he just noticed they were no good and replaced them. Nice!

The work was done wonderfully and I had great communication with him. I would definitely recommend Rick to anyone looking to get quality repairs done to their home.

Rick was professional and set up an appointment in short time. He explained he had a big job he was doing and he would be getting back to me. I was not in an hurry as the bath project will be a planned project which may take a couple of years to complete. We walked through the space and I described my vision for it as well as the Pinterest website where I have posted ideas. I received an itemized write up from Rick with a good description of the design I discussed with him. For the price I thought the design work was fine. I might have gotten a similar write up from a bath design shop as part of a job quote. I am not ready to commit so this was to give me a ball park idea of what I need to save up. The floor plan was amateurishly drawn on graph paper and not to scale. I would have expected a computer drafted floorplan with accurate scale. It would not have to be CAD quality just simple floor plan software with standard bathroom template fixtures. I have made some decisions to change my plan as now seeing the spacing a more narrow soaker tub would be better. I am not disappointed given the cost with the coupon.

The service provider showed up 20 minutes late! He said he called me to let me know but I didn't see any missed calls in my phone. When I told him this he just said ok goodbye.

It went very smoothly. Came on time everyday with a crew of men that were courteous and professional. They protected our floors in the house and cleaned up after themselves. I had purchased a vanity from Ikea that we put together wrong Rick and his crew were great and fixed it and it looks beautiful. They could handle any problem. What is a great benefit when your hire Rick is he and his crew are capable of doing everything. Fine woodworking, tiling, plumbing and electrical. So for any job you need done in your home I would highly recommend this contractor.

He did a beautiful job. There was no splitting in the tile, absolutely great.

He makes sure everything is perfect. He is very responsive, he will call you right back. He will always show up on time. If I don’t like something, no questions asked he will fix it. He was highly recommended to me. He also has two young men that work with him.
