Called Macken Services and they were able to set up an appointment very quickly. Explained that we were new homeowners and they were great about explaining how the septic system works. They came and pumped our system and there were no issues. Great customer service and they do offer military discount.

I have use Macken Services for the past 6 years. Each time they were on time and totally professional. What business owner whistles while doing the job of cleaning out a septic tank? They did a very thorough cleaning, which I have learned through Macken Services, means washing the stones completely and flushing the toilet while they are cleaning to make sure it is flowing properly. NO other company did this all the other years I had other companies. Very reasonable price which has remained steady all these years. Yes - as long as they are in business, this will be the company I use!

Perfect! We just purchased this house. I never had a septic tank before. The individual that took my initial call as well as the 2 people on the truck were very helpful in teaching me about my system. The truck showed up on time and they got right to work. On top of that, they offer a military discount.

We had a toilet that was gurgling when we took a shower or flushed the toilet. We had just returned after 9 months in our other home and the line had dried out due to lack of water flow. The serviceman explained the problem in detail and told us how to prevent it from happening in the future.

According to my wife who was home, they did what they said they would do in a timely fashion.

Overall they did the services very well. They started the work in May but they did not get done till September but that was not their fault. It mainly had to do with the health department. It was a government bureaucracy thing which would not have got solved without their help. Right now my whole yard is quite muddy because they finished just in time for fall. So now the deer that walk through my backyard, I understand have to clean their feet before they go back to the woods. I will use them in the future.

The tank was cleaned and checked and was told everything checked out okay. He did not leave any mess and all we had to do is to put the patch of grass on top of it that we removed and it looked good as new.

We have some pre-existing issues with the overall septic system. Macken's employees have always been forthcoming about what they think the problems are and what the limitations of their services will be because of the system backing up. I don't think the serviceman had any vested interest in recommending repairs beyond his own duties. Considering the nature of the work, they leave my property spotless. I get an invoice as well as a large index card stating the size of the tank, the date of the work and the recommended date for the next clean out, any problems observed, and the company's contact information.

I highly recommend Macken Services for septic work. I called around and they were the fastest to respond, and the most reasonable. They gave great advice, and saved me a lot of money.

I have used Macken for 10 years and they do a nice, clean job. Their price may be a little high, but then everything is these days. I do not look for anyone else to pump my tank because they respond immediately when I call them. It is a good company.
