I chose to simply pay to have the contactor replaced, a minor expense after 18 years of reliable service from my unit. Chad also chased away an urban woodchuck that was charging at us in my backyard. They do good work and are very reliable BUT, the prices they charge for parts is OUTRAGEOUS!. If you are a gold service member they claim to give a 30% discount. However in my case they marked up the prices by 10 times. They charged me $400.00 + for a repair that two of their competitors quoted less than $200.00.

There was a bad smell coming from the air in the vents, presumably from the furnace. I placed a call in at 9 AM, talked to Chad and he said he could be out between 10 AM and 12 PM. He arrived on-time around 11 AM. Chad was very professional. He confirmed he could smell what I could. He immediately checked the furnace and everything was fine. It turns out the smell was coming from the exhaust of the nearby hot water heater. Upon examination, we saw some feathers coming out and, sure enough, there was a dead bird that had gotten into the chimney and down into the flue of the hot water heater. Chad was very up front about the cost: it's not officially on their charge list. While the total cost is a little high (it includes the diagnostic fee, which they were very upfront about), the gross-out factor is pretty high. All-in-all, Chad was very prompt and professional and I would definitely use their service again.

Chad showed up on time and got right to work. The furnace had been running more than usual and ended up needing a new thermostat and ignitor, which he replaced. Since the repairs and maintenance the furnace has been operating properly.

When I contacted Twin Air I was told the cost for a furnace tune up would be $59.00 . On Angies List it was $49.00. During the tune up I was told I needed a hot surface igniter.The entire bill was to be $338.00. I was shocked. I really didn't know what to do? I finally told him to do the job. Since my furnace is in the basement I didn't see him working. After a while he went to his truck. When he came back in he told me the old part fell apart in his hand. I should have asked to see the old part. My mistake While he was working ,I went to talk to him. I told him I thought the price was high and mentioned Angies List.He then told me he would give me a break and lowered the price. With tax the bill was $254.00.The next day when I called a parts store I was told, with shipping to my house, the cost of aigniter was $54.00. I was also called by Twin Air and told my check was lost and could I send another check, When I checked with my bank the check was already cashed. That could have been an honest mistake. As far as quality of work, I can't answer that . MY furnace worked last year. They removed my old huge furnace from the 50's and replaced it with a brand new furnace as well as new duct work. I am very satisfied, and they cleaned up everything when the job was complete.

Ted arrived on time, was friendly and courteous, and got right to work. He told me the filter needed to be replaced, which I had expected. I purchased their service contract for a nominal monthly fee, so they will call me to set up a check-up in the spring for my air conditioner, and in the fall for my furnace. Great perks were included in this! Twin Air is a family-owned business, and I feel very fortunate to have found them through Angie's List! I highly recommend them!

I made a phonecall on Monday morning and Twin City returned my call within an hour. They arranged to come to my house at the end of the day so that it wouldn't disrupt my work day. Repair was performed quickly and efficiently. The technicians were very friendly and communicative. Due to this great service, I placed their business card on my refrigerator door for all future servicing of my furnace and AC.

I bought an Angieslist coupon for a service call for a basic HVAC inspection, and I knew I would also need my A/C unit serviced. Chad came by and was super friendly, and explained to me everything he was doing. He listened to what I had done so far to diagnose the situation, and verified it himself. He came to the same conclusion as me and recharged the system. Chad explained every option, didn't try to sell me any "snake oil" type solutions, but allowed me to make a good, informed decision on what to buy. He also recommended the service plan, which ultimately will save me money in the long run - I believe that I've already saved money today because of it. Emergency service and equipment/labor discounts for my older system will come in handy, and of course, Twin Air will be the first people I call. He was professional and I will ask for him by name next time. If he's unavailable, I'm confident that the company will provide similar services. I'm telling all my friends!

See above. It was horrible and I feel taken advantage of. Freon should not cost $100/lb when you are replacing a lot. You should pay for a service call and a modest mark up. 410-a retails for under $10/lb. buyers beware.

They were able to come out the day I bought the coupon! Chad arrived on time and was extremely professional. He was friendly and knowledgeable and answered all of my questions thoroughly. I hated having to pay for the repair but he did it quickly and efficiently and it was in-line with what others charge. I would definitely use them again and know I will because I also joined Twin Air's gold service club.

He checked status of exchanger and circuitry in house. Checked condenser pressure and cleaned the coils.

Furnace worked well throughout the winter. Can't ask for more than that.
