+ -1 moreMr. Ron Linamen, owner of Appliance Service Company of Lakewood, NY, did an awesome job repairing my 10-year old dryer. He was prompt in setting up an appointment to accommodate my work schedule; drove about 35 miles to reach my home at 7:15 a.m. He was finished by 7:45 a.m. He was courteous, professional, clean, knowledgeable and cheerful - a refreshing change from the and quot;normand quot;! I would trust him to come back to my home again any time and am very happy with his work - 40 years experience hasn't dampened his enthusiasm for it!
Description of Work: Front load washer (10 yrs old) was running rough - sounded like a jet taking off when in the spin mode. Mr. Linamen's diagnosis was that the bearings were shot - probably due to having not used HE soap. [The gasket is designed to keep water out of the bearings but soap suds can sneak past the gasket and ruin the bearings. MAKE SURE you use HE soap on front loaders! ] He stated my washer may last another few years or it may "die" on the next load, but the repair would be about $400 to $500 so I'd be better off buying a new washer when it goes. My dryer was squealing badly when it started up. This turned out to be a worn felt pad where the drum turns, a $40 part which took care of the problem - life expectancy is now another 10 years!

+ -1 moreThe repairman not only repaired my refrigerator but gave me some helpful tips as well. Such as when changing the temperature, you should hot change it again until 24 hrs.
Description of Work: Called for an appoitment early in the morning left my information. And was promptly called back. There had been a cancelation and the repariman was able to come right away. The fan on the refrigerator had stoppe running causing the temperature to be erratic. The repairman was able to locate the problem and oiled the fan.

+ -1 moreThe washing machine would not drain. Looked online for appliance repair and found the company. Called to ask about the problem. The technician asked for the symptoms and after giving him the details, he gave me an explanation and approximate cost for the repairs.He informed me that he would be able to do repair on Monday (this was Saturday) but I explained that no one would be home, and said I would get back to him. He called back approximately 15 minutes later saying that he had an emergency call and could do the repair right after. I agreed to this and he showed up exactly when he said he would (which was fairly quickly) and performed the diagnosis and repair quickly and professionally. Very good service, made wife happy which is always a plus!
Description of Work: Repaired a faulty cover switch on washing machine.
