Bill's Swingset installations

Look...I'm not one to post harsh reviews but Bill's installation has been a real dissappointment and I can't recommend him. Prior to installation, his responsiveness was great and he scheduled me right away. He was on time with his helper in the morning and put up my swing set fast. He was done in roughly 6 hours so he completed around 3PM or so. His website says he guarentees his work and he has been professionally installing swing sets for over 20 years. Any problems and he will come back so he claims. Here are where the problems begin. After I got over the initial elation of having my child play on the swing set I began to notice issues with the way he put it together. There were missed scews that were drilled in offline and left hanging. There were pieces that were put in off center. And most glaringly, the wooden slats on the roof and the siding were installed UPSIDE DOWN. these sets have a shingled look to the roofs and siding so that water rolls down and off them. Bill put them backwards and that's facing inside. This will most likely lead to problems down the road. No problem I figured he guarantees his work and said he would come back if there were any issues. LoL yeah right a few unanswered emails later I got the message. Will be super responsive at first, but then will rush through job when he shows up and make numerous mistakes. If you want someone to put up your swing set fast and don't care about it being done correctly go right ahead. If you want someone to do it right the first time, get exactly what you paid for, and have someone who is responsive after the fact to follow up please steer clear. I can not recommend Bill to anyone however to be fair if by some miracle he comes by and fixes his mistakes I will change this review. Until then, I just don't see how a "professional installer" can put a roof on upside down.

Bill showed up almost 3 hours late with no phone call to say he would be late. He rushed through putting the set together because he didn't start until about 2:30 in the afternoon so the work continued into the dark. I had to supply a drop light for him to finish. Pieces were put together backwards which I had to point out, brackets not installed that came with the set (his comment was you don't need them) When the assembly was completed, the set was way off level, but he tried to tell me it was fine, he didn't level the ground before hand (he should have been up front about that), screws placed in crooked which cracked some boards. I have to spend the day correcting the mistakes so my children can enjoy the Easter present we purchased. Heavy smoker which I didn't appreciate since me and my wife do not smoke. I would not recommend him or call him back for any work.
