Responded to my email via Angie's List months later, came to the house over three weeks ago, was to email us a written estimate and it has not happen as of yet.

It was a tough job.

The home building process was wonderful. We were able to make the choice WE wanted for colors, materials etc without getting charged out the nose. Ed took the time to find out what we wanted in our new home from the start, instead of trying to charge us extra for changes and upgrades down the road. We were pleasantly surprised to find that Sunset used quality products from brands we knew, not cheap "builders grade" options standard. It was comforting to know we were getting nice products like Andersen windows, and a Lifetime GAF roof. We ended up with the house we wanted, at a price we could afford. Work was completed on schedule, and communication was great. I wish the bank was as pleasant to deal with as the builder was.

got an estimate, called them and they did job next day. There was a problem with a leak that didn't involve the roof itself, but they came back the day I called and replaced a piece of t-111 siding that had rotted and was letting water seep in.

These guys are horrible. The only good experience was the price. They did a complete tear off and roof job for us. The roof started leaking the very first snow melt-off. They came out 3 times in the next 2 years for the same problem. They tried to fix the leak with caulking. LOL. The gutters leaked from day 1. Our upstairs bedrooms now leak under heavy rainfall alone. That is the reason that we just joined Angies list, to find somebody to finally fix this issue. These guys are totally incompetent. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY FOR ANYTHING.sUNSET

They were supposed to put an ice shield on so that I wouldn't get ice damaged in the house but they didn't do it. They said they did it, but we discovered that they didn't do it. Evidently, I needed have paid more for the price. I think he was comparable at the time though. I called him and he doesn't return my calls.

My partner dealt with them mostly and she didn't like that they installed the gutters incorrectly. She also had a really hard time getting them to come out to look at them and fix it.

I called Sunset Builders on a Tuesday and the owner called me back and scheduled the work to be done 6 days later. The crew came on time Monday morning and they were very efficient. There must have been 8 guys working at the same time. They had completed the tearoff by lunchtime and were back at it and done by 4:30 that same day. The project lead had called me and asked me what gutter I wanted replaced and I returned his call and left a voice message for him to replace the right gutter. When he called me back he had not gotten my message and informed me that they took both gutters off. He told me that they would not charge me for one of the new gutters they were putting up. The only minor downside was that they trampled some of our flowers in the flower bed. But hey-that is a small price to pay.

Sunset Builders were neat, clean and courteous. They were on time when they said they would be. The quote was to the penny. They were able to do the job, within a couple days of hiring them. They are very trustworthy, responsible, and knowledgeable in their work.

Sunset Builders was just excellent. They did the job of replacing our roof in about a day and a half. I thought that was real quick. They were wonderful to us as customers. Our new roof is very nice looking. We have recommended them to others. Good job.
