Flynn was courteous and thoroughgoing. He worked with a helper and proceeded quickly yet carefully with his work. He showed us the chimney caps that he was installing before he put them up and pointed out that they were made of American steel (superior to Chinese steel because it is more durable). He advised that the old log rack that we had, though coated with soot, was a strong unit and superior to anything we would be able to find in Lowe's. Since it would last for years it would be worth keeping. He told us where to get a a fireplace screen and fireplace mitts. He was friendly and ready to answer questions in a clear manner.

I have been using them for about 25 years. Our chimney is difficult and the owner is an outgoing, personable person who talks to you. He did a great job, especially with keeping the soot and dust in the fireplace down; he brought a big stainless steel vacuum cleaner. He also covered the fireplace over with a heavy material so that nothing got out; he was pretty thorough. The owner's son has taken care of the business and he did not return my call once.

I got in touch with the Mad Hatter's wife Jenna today. She told me she had an opening for today at 2:30 pm which I thought I could be there for. I got stuck at work, then traffic and was worried that I would miss the Mad Hatter. While stuck in traffic he called to tell me he was there and that I had a Fedex package. Since it was raining he put the box in my house and then told me I had missed the Lowe's guy by looking at a card Lowe's left at my door. He noticed that the card was from someone he went to school with and called. When I arrived I found my Fedex package dry and that the Lowe's guy was there to measure my door. He is a nice guy, helpful and above all a great chimney sweep. I would recommend him to anyone!

The service was incomplete where the provider failed to clean the chiminy cap or recommend replacement which is exactly and in detail what we discussed when I arranged the cleaning. They were there for a very short time and the result was a clogged up chiminy cap that failed to exhaust smoke so, it came back into the house through the piping and stove. We left three messages for them to return or reply and they did not call us back even once. That was almost $160 wasted as we had to call another firm in to fix the problem. You should see the pictures of the mess they left us! We hope that they read this and make things right for us and provide better service to the next client.
