I called and spoke with Joe, explaining that my chair needed some spindles glued in. He said they do that type of work and to bring it in to take a look. I took the maple Windsor style chair to the shop and he said he could pull the spindles off of another chair and put them in mine. He didn't have a price at that point, and said he would give me one after he checked. Two weeks passed and I still hadn't heard from him about pricing. I called him and got the answering machine, and left a message. He told me upfront it would cost more to have the spindles replaced than the chair was worth, but he would be able to save me money by pulling spindles from another chair. After a month had passed since I took the chair in, I decided I just wanted the chair back. He then said he wouldn't be able to fix it and that it would be expensive anyways. The thing that bothered me was that he gave me high hopes that he could fix it, then did not return any phone calls instead of just letting me know there was nothing he could do to help.
