Advanced Comfort Systems, Rich Cavanagh, is amazing. The old oil heating system in my wife's studio, a large barn where she paints even on the coldest days in winter and the hottest days in summer, failed. We had heard great things about Rich, so we called him and he came over within a day or two, assessed the space and recommended a Fujisto mini split heating and cooling system. The unit worked perfectly until...I tried to clear ice from the condenser and accidentally punctured it. We called Rich; he answered on the second or third ring and responded quickly. He came over on a day so miserable he had to pitch a tent to work on the unit. Amazingly, he fixed it within two hours, and it's working perfectly again. Rich is one of the most responsive, caring craftsmen I've ever met, and his prices are amazingly reasonable. If you live in the Hudson Valley in New York and you're considering a heat pump for home, studio, office, whatever -- it's an amazingly quiet, efficient and green technology -- definitely call Rich, 845-943-9564. Rich was extremely professional, friendly and reliable, very responsive to phone calls & questions, always punctual. He and his associate Tim installed the system in a little over a day, including electrical connection, pad for outside unit, and channeling to enclose all mechanical lines. The system works beautifully and is nearly silent. He also provided information and paperwork for a Central Hudson $600 rebate and Federal $300 tax credit. Because of this, final cost of the unit after refunds is actually $2,700.
