Mark was incredibly responsive over phone and email. He provided an itemized estimate and even when a few surprises popped up during the work, he did not charge us more. Mark replaced a number of indoor and outdoor lighting fixtures, including the removal of two ceiling fans. He also replaced two bathroom fans. One of the integrated LED lights we had purchased ended up being a dud. Once we bought a replacement, Mark offered to stop by to install it free of charge, even though the bad light was not his fault (we had purchased it on our own). My wife and I were incredibly impressed with this gesture. Mark is a really nice guy and very professional. We plan to refer our friends and family to Power Play Electric. We highly recommend!

I strongly suggest that when getting a plug-in or full electric car that you consider also having a dedicated 220 volt and even 120 volt charging outlet. Of course the vehicle will come with a charging cable but don't neglect the need to charge the vehicle. Charging a plug-in requires a dedicated 240 and even 120 volt outlet. Problem is nearly all manufacturers of EV offer a 120 charging cable. Ignore any claims of rapid charging using the OEM charging cable will require many hours, often overnight. I selected Power Play from Angie's List. Mark, the President provided me with a good estimate and kept the job within the estimate. I requested both a dedicated 240 and 120 outlets. Dedicated means a direct connection to the actual breaking box. This means that if there is some circuit disturbance the breaker will open the circuit. The work was done timely, using high quality materials, and any debris was removed by Mark. I highly recommend Power Play Electrical Contractors because they understand the needs of a plug-in vehicle. Simple things like positioning the outlet near the charging port on the car is important. I liked Power Play assuring that all work was within code and installed both a carbon monoxide and smoke detector near the charging outlets.

I recently purchased a duplex in Kenmore and in order to get insurance coverage on it I had to get the old fuse boxes upgraded to circuit breakers within 2 weeks of closing. I called Power Play Electric a couple weeks before my closing date and at first he said it may be 5 or 6 weeks before he could get to the project since this was just after the bad wind storm that knocked out power to a bunch of people. However once he learned that we had used him once before to install an outdoor light at our property, he did his best to fit me into his schedule as soon as possible. The day after I closed on the house, he came over to take a look and emailed me a quote. I called him to book the next day, and he was able to start less than a week later. The project took 2 full days to complete, but Mark took care of everything. He obtained the permit and was knowledgeable about code requirements and took care of installing 2 hard wired smoke detectors to meet code. He even called the village inspector to schedule the required inspection once the work was finished, and returned the following day to fix one thing that the inspector noted was missing. Mark and his partner were super professional and left the area perfectly clean. When it came time to pay him, he charged exactly what he had quoted at the beginning and wasn't pushy about getting the payment to him immediately. Pricing was right on par with what our home inspector had estimated, albeit at the higher end of the range. However I have no problem paying a little more when I know I will have a reliable, honest person who will do the work the right way, and that is definitely Power Play Electric. We will definitely use them again in the future.

I have had Mark put in a new electric line for my dryer a few years ago which went great. He has also come to my home on two other occasions due to electrical outlets not working, and quickly fixed the issue (I don't know much about electricity ok). At first he told me it might be 5 weeks til he could come look at it, but he is so nice and his prices are reasonable so I didn't have a problem waiting that long. However he worked me in much earlier (probably because he knows I call him for silly stuff), which I appreciate. I will always call him first.

it went great. They were professional, punctual, and communicated well with me. They did all the projects I requested. they were thoughtful about where to put outlets and the switch. They also brought the kitchen and smoke/carbon monoxide detectors up to the newest code.

It went great. Everything you want from a contractor. Mark returned my call promptly and arrived for the appointment early. He was pleasant, professional and efficient. He was honest and had a good sense of humor. When he billed me he gave me an Angie's list coupon even though I didn't know to ask for it. Mark and his partner left all work areas clean. I will absolutely call Powerplay for all electric work from now on!

Mark is very professional and honest. The job was completed in a timely manner and all work sites were cleaned up nicely. Mark even took take of a few small issues that he found and we were not aware of. He is very responsive and punctual and we will certainly call him again for any of our electrical needs. So happy we were referred to him.

Mark and his team are WONDERFUL. They're polite, fair and tidy. It looks like no one was here and they did a lot of work. They took their time and made sure the job was done ideally not sufficiently. We had two other electricians try to find the control source of our outside outlet to no avail. Mark found it within minutes and I never would have guessed where it was. I told Mark his company is now our official electrician. I wouldn't ask anyone else for electrical assistance and look forward to a continued relationship with this company. Regarding scheduling, the company was booked until October and had a last minute cancellation. He immediately called to check if I'd be interested. I so appreciate him remembering I wanted to get everything done in a speedy timeline. The price was lower than estimate and more than fair for all the work accomplished.

This is the 3rd time we've had Mark come out, and every time has been great. He answers or quickly returns calls, he shows up when he says he's going to, and he does the work fast and well. Even though he's very busy, I won't use anyone else any more. And now, getting quotes via email is very nice.

I had called other electricians who did not return a call, (They could at least say they were too busy.) Mark came, looked over the house and emailed an estimate soon after. He set up a day and time and showed up when promised. The work was done in less time than I expected. They went out of their way to clean up afterwards. As noted on other reviews, I appreciated how everything was explained and my questions answered.

Mark and his apprentice brought my new home purchase up to code after a failed attempt by me to re-wire the house. He was patient and calmly explained everything that needed to be done to address the issues and the manner in which he intended to do it. He was able to fit me into his busy schedule, knowing that there was a bit of a tight time table as I had already booked movers and a painter. He made every effort to complete the work on time and did not even have to punch additional holes to fish the wire. He arrived the first day on time and got straight to work with his apprentice. He finished a day earlier than anticipated, even after I asked him to install recessed lights in the living room midway through the first day. He even pulled the appropriate permits and scheduled an inspection. And as others have said, he cleaned up very well after he was done. He knows his trade and I would definitely recommend Power Play to anyone looking for a quality electrician. His estimate was spot-on and there were no surprises.

Besides email and phone calls prior to date of service, Power Play Electric called around 12noon to confirm that he was on schedule for our 3:30pm appointment. Arrived on time. We reviewed the work-plan. He got to work. He finished. I've used Power Play Electric services before and would they will always be my first choice for any electrical needs.

I canot say enough good things. Very professional operation - from the original estimate to the finished job. I hardly knew they were in my home. They could have made a huge mess because the work required cutting holes in the ceilings, but they figured out a way to get the job done without destroying my home. The 2 holes that could not be avoided were covered very nicely with small plates, and are barely noticeable. The cost of the project was more than reasonable! I HIGHLY recommend this company!

Mark does things exactly the way a contractor should. He was very professional and responsive -- he fit me into his busy schedule the same day I called. He's an honest guy who charged a reasonable price for the work. He even gave me the current Angie's List discount he's offering after he asked how I found his company. Mark is great! He was a half hour earlier than planned, which was fine. His work is meticulous and thorough. He got a permit for the work as was required. He also cleaned up before leaving and double-checked that everything he did was working properly. He's a real professional! At the end of the day when it came to the billing, I was very pleasantly surprised that the bill was $56.00 LOWER than his original phone estimate of $469.00 (after his $30.00 Angie's List coupon). There aren't many companies that will cut you a break, let alone TELL you. (I fully expected to pay the full $469, but he said the work wasn't as time consuming as he thought it would be when he quoted over the phone). Bottom line: Professional in every way you would want, and expect. Honest and great work. Reasonably priced, even without discounts.

I contacted Mark from Power Play to replace a bathroom ceiling exhaust fan that had a faulty heating unit. We were able to set up an appointment right away and Mark came out to assess the situation, arriving right on time. He said that he would be able to order a new part and there was no need to replace the whole unit, which would save us money. While he was at the house, we were so pleased with his professionalism and knowledge, we asked if he would have time to look at the new emergency generator we had just purchased and let us know how we could hook it up. Mark explained what we would need and, within a very short time, he e-mailed an estimate for a generator transfer switch and a power inlet box to be installed on the back of the house. We felt that Mark was trustworthy and his estimate was fair, and we were so impressed with his timely responses to a few e-mails we sent with follow-up questions, we didn?t even bother getting another estimate. (The cost listed above is for the generator-related work.) When Mark and his assistant came out to do the work, they were great! Polite, professional, and thorough. They cleaned up the bathroom nicely after installing the ceiling heating unit. Mark reviewed our options and priorities for the use of the emergency generator. After the installation, he patiently explained everything about the transfer switch, what to do in case of a power outage, and we did a test run to be sure everything worked properly. Mark took care of all the details, including getting the necessary permit in advance and, while he was at the house, he called to set up an inspection for us. When the electrical inspector came out a few days later, I mentioned that Power Play had done the work and he confirmed that they are reliable and do very good work. I would absolutely contact Mark in the future for any and all electrical work and am very relieved to have found an electrician we can count on!
