RICH WILLIAMS & SON

Rich Williams refinished my floor last year and had difficulty sanding the floor due to sealer on the floor. He was up front and communicated the issue with me. After the floor was finished there we’re few spots where the sander gouged the floor and the sealer was dull and faded. We talked to another floor person and they came and looked at it. They said the entire floor would need to be re done to fix the marks. Because Rich was recommended by a good friend and we had been displaced from our house so long with kitchen remodel and floor we decided to say nothing and live with it. Within 6 months the areas began to darken and really stick out. I talked to contractor friend who recommended him and he said I should contact him because you could see the deep sand marks were causing the issue. You can see them in the pictures . So I did contact Rich. He accused us of using to much water on the floor which we were not. He got defensive with me when I said we had not. we were hoping he could look at it and maybe give us a solution or a repair. We were not at all looking to have it completely redone. He refused to talk about it further or stand by his work. I recommended him to several friends and I’m sorry I did. To say we are disappointed is a understatement. Cannot recommend him anymore. He did not offer us a solution and refused to talk to me about it. I'm rating an F because he refused to talk to me about it or even come out to take a look at it which any reputable person would do.

Work was done while we were out of town on vacation. Very happy with the finished job. We had laminate flooring installed in three bedrooms and living room (1000 square feet).

I have had Rich do work for me before and that's why I only called him back for additional flooring installation. Rich, as owner, is on ever job from start to finish and, along with his extremely capable assistant, was able to do a 1000000% most excellent job in installing oak hardwoods to my dining room and living room. The attention to detail, completely thorough and professional work done the entire way through only added to my extreme pleasure in Rich and co-worker Charlene's excellent installation and finish throughout the two rooms. I have Rich on the top of my list, and the only person for work on my hardwoods!! It was truly a pleasure having him in my home. Ken Fuller

Good work, good price, communication issues. When I called I got Mrs. Williams and was quoted a price by square foot without their coming to look at the job. Because it involved the stairs, we arranged to have the work done while we were out of the country with a friend as the contact. When we got back we discovered that the floors looked great but they had not done the stairs. Called and learned that the stairs needed to be repaired - but they had not told our local contact and they had not e-mailed us. (I really prefer being able to communicate by e-mail and they do not.) I was then able to have them come back and repair the stairs - competently but a disruption to my life.

They arrived on schedule on each scheduled day. They did an outstanding job of sanding, sealing coating and finishing the floor. I was amazed at what a wonderful floor I have had for 35 years and didn't know it.. Outstanding job start to finish.

Mr Williams and his son installed two large rooms of hardwood flooring in my home. They arrived on time on the day we agreed on and started to work immediately. They found my wood on my front steps outdoors. They checked the moisture level of the wood after laying some, and questioned me about where I had kept it after delivery. It had been stored out of the weather, but in a moist area. They told me it would warp and dry out if they laid the wood at that time. We rescheduled and I checked with the company I had purchased the wood from, to see if they were right. They agreed with them. I was grateful for there honesty. They returned as planned, and worked longer hours to complete the work, so that I would have my floor ready for a special occasion. They left my home clean and free of any mess made by work. I would recommend them to my friends and already have. I have received many complements on the floor.

I used Rich Williams before, and the work was excellent then as it was now. He is trustworthy. He worked alone and locked up when he left. I appreciated how quickly he scheduled the work, in two weeks, and also how he told me how to maintain the floor.
