We have been very happy with the work. We have found Chris and his team to be knowledgable and skilled. Chris has effectively solved problems and made valuable recommendations. Chris is also easy to work with and professional. I gave price a and quot;Band quot; only because you can probably find cheaper electricians out there, but I'm not sure I would trust the cheaper work (especially as we had already been burned by the sub-contractor who was probably the lowest bid to our genral contractor). I think Chris's prices are fair for this level of professionalism. We will continue using Lake Katonah Electric for our needs in the future and, indeed, already have future work scheduled with them.

After the numerous lenghty power outages of 2011 I decided to purchase a standby generator which would supply the entire home in the event of a power outage. After calling several dealers i contacted Lake Katonah Electric. They were extremely responsive, evaluated my needs and recommended a solution. They did a fantastic job installing the generator, delivering the generator and held my hand through the entire process. I am extremely pleased with the installation and the service and the professionalism of the company and its employees and highly recommend.

Lake Katonah electric was a subcontractor for a renovation project involving office space and a dining room remodel. A wiring problem was discovered by this company in the adjacent bathroom creating an emergent situation. Our power was shut off on the second floor for two days. Lake Katonah electric returned with a large crew and completed the job two days later. We were given a quote of $2000.00 for this additional work. After the work was completed, we were emailed a bill for $2600.00 without any explanation. In addition, Electrical outlets in the office were installed too low and as a result the outlet covers are unusable as the covers overlap the trim. When asked to return to the job and raise the outlets so covers could be used, this electrician became argumentative. To date, this quality issue has not been resolved and we will be forced to hire a different electrician. Let me share a quote from the email sent to by Lake Katonah Electric Owner after they received our payment: and quot; People like you make me wonder why i give a .... I should have hooked up to the firetrap wiring we found and not have said anything to youand quot;. This statement is a true sign of this companies quality and integrity. Run don't walk from this electrical service provider.
