I install residential appliances ( stoves, dishwashers, microwaves, washers, dryers, water lines to refrigerators, gas lines to ranges) Cut granite countertops to fit cooktops, etc. I can modify cabinets to accommodate appliances. I've been in business since 1995. I am the owner/installer. My brother, John, is my right hand man. We have satisfied repeat customers. Our hours are by appointment only. We aim to please every customer.
Treated our home with respect. Excellent clean-up and wouldn't leave until we were satisfied!
Description of Work: Excellent personalized service from this family small business. Installed new downdraft range and refrigerator. Kitchen cabinet and granite counter top needed moving and he listened to all our requests! This was a challenging project.

In the end after a second trip the double ovens were correctly installed. Some damage occurred to the original cabinets that were custom made. Would not use again.

Arrived on time, was able to 'fix' what I started installed drains and new garbage disposal in new sink. While Tom was at my home I asked about an over the range microwave which he took measurements and assured me it was okay to install. When the microwave is delivered, I will again call Tom for installation.
Description of Work: Installed new kitchen faucet, drains and garbage disposal.

Awful, totally unacceptable. Most of the work he did in both categories was sub standard, would never have met any level of acceptability. Sub standard or no longer available materials. A plug and switch he put in for my hair dryer.. I used it once and the whole plug came out of wall. The plumbing work he did for the second floor, new bathroom, was extremely poor. The toilet had to end up being replaced. The faucets and hardware to supply the tub and shower were poorly installed, they used dirt cheap parts and parts discontinued and not compatible. I had to have a plumber come and fix what these guys did and it cost me a lot of money to get this changed. The response to my letter of complaint was that it was all the responsibility of his "assistant" who, the owner claims, was totally responsible for the work, and, according to the owner, did a "lousy job" on everything. However, there was no offer to refu8nd any of my money. So not was the work so bad that most of it had to be redone at a great cost to me, I paid him for nothing and was, in essence, robbed.
Description of Work: The company was engaged to provide both plumbing and electrical services for a kitchen and bathroom upgrade. The work was shoddy, the materials often defective (kinked plumbing lines causing reduced water flow, wrong plug for gas/electric stove), and all-in=all was a rip off.

Description of Work: When Tom's Appliance initially installed my dishwasher they installed it improperly, not attaching it to the counter or cabinets. After struggling with it for a while, I noticed that it had begun to leak. I had them return to fix both problems. First, when the worker screwed the bracket to the countertop, he chipped a large piece of laminate off the top of the counter. Then, he told me to go buy a piece of rubber gasket and install it myself. He did not tell me how to do that, but indicated it was easy and I could do it myself. I bought the rubber gasket, but apparently didn't install it properly myself and the machine leaked again all over my hardwood floor, warping several boards. I asked the owner of the company to compensate me for the damaged countertop, but not the floor, as that was due to my incompetence. He declined although he refunded part of the cost of the worker's visit. He was very rude about the entire incident. I do not recommend Tom's Appliance to anyone. I have since purchased another dishwasher and hired a different contractor to install it.

Overall great. They did the work within 48 hrs of the initial call. Arrived exactly on time. Very neat (lots of drop cloths). Very friendly and offered some creative solutions.
Description of Work: I had a "honey-do" list for Tom and his assistants. They did several projects: installed two ceiling lights, installed two replacement ceiling fans; new bathroom fan; new faucet; replaced some outlets; new dryer vent. I supplied most of the fixtures.

Description of Work: Tom's Appliance Installation is the "go-to" company for the local stores that don't offer installation when you buy something. I had been referred to him through Best Buy and Home Depot, when I was in the market for, and subsequently bought a dishwasher. My sister has used this service on numerous occasions over the years with excellent results, and I was completely pleased as well. The phone contact is Becky, who is totally helpful and knowledgeable, and able to work with you and your schedule. When I had to change it, she worked with me to make it be convenient and she was honest about what was possible and not possible with Tom's schedule. As it worked out, Home Depot dropped off the dishwasher on one day, not taking away my old one as they won't unhook it; Tom's service is to do that for you and haul away the old one for no charge. They came early for their appointed time, Tom and an assistant, and they were courteous, helpful and efficient. As it happened, I wasn't feeling well and couldn't really participate and just left them to it - and they were wonderful at getting things done quickly and with a minimum of hassle for me. At the end, I requested extra help with a leaky faucet which they fixed right then and there for no extra charge. Tom even was kind enough to show me all my water shutoffs, etc., which I had not ever known where to find. It was a completely positive experience in every way, and I was excited to learn that he does repairs, installations, electrical work, you name it. I will definitely use his services again in the future.
