I had called several contractors to do the drywall work and several more to do the masonry work on the stairs. When Keith arrived, I mistook him for a mason and asked him to give me a quote on repairing the stairs. He did what he needed to do to prepare an estimate and then noted that he had come to quote the drywall work. He said that he could do both types of work, so off we went to have him evaluate the drywall work so he could prepare a quote. A few days later he was back with a quote which I accepted. He started a few days later with an assistant and had both jobs done in a bit over 2 days. He covered the existing wood paneling with 3/8 th inch thick drywall on 2 walls, filled in the seams and sanded them down. He also replaced a section of ceiling in the built under garage with fire resistant drywall, per my request. The work included matching the existing swirling sanded paint that was already on the ceiling. The work looked very good. We had agreed that 5 vertical stantions of the railings (aluminum) had to be replaced. He found replacement material for the stantions (the original manufacturer was not in evidence) that was of sturdier construction than was already there. This was excellent as the original units were not very sturdy, in my opinion. Keith arranged for 2 bluestone steps to be cut to size and drilled for the stantions to be cemented in place. He cemented the steps in place, mounted the stantions in the pre-drilled holes, reinstalled the railings and cemented the stantions in place. The repair was done quickly. I'm satisfied.
Description of Work: I had drywall installed. This included two walls and a bit installed over 40+ year old wood paneling and a section of ceiling. I also had the exterior railings on my front stairs repaired along with replacing two steps made of bluestone.

went very well overall. The best part was I felt I could trust him to be in my home. I had mouse problems and needed to have some holes in the floor under a bathtub in my doublewide patched, which he did with flashing. Also, he eliminated some access places in the skirting and also found some slits in the vapor barrier under my floor which he repaired. Must have done an excellent job since I don't have anymore mice coming in the house.
Description of Work: Individual was hired as a handyman for several small jobs. He handled each with care and professionalism. I found him very reasonable. I fully intend to call on him again shortly as I have other small jobs for him to take care of, which I'm sure he'll do well. I would definitely recommend him to anyone for any of the jobs on his list of accomplishments.

Description of Work: I contacted Kieth Sanders by phone on September 11 to request that he give me estimates on several small repair projects. He came to my residence what evening and we discussed my first priority job. He made some notes and said he would give my an estimate by the 13th or 14th. On the 14th I sent him an email asking why he had not provided the estimate. I write this on the 18th and I have still not heard from Mr. Sanders. His failure to respond to me in any manner is unacceptable. It is unprofessional and rude. I would not use Mr. sanders now even if he offered to do the work for free. You should avoid him as I will.

Called Keith to price gutters. While he was there, I had him look at and quote work on the back deck and support for the 2nd story porch. The existing support was 4"x4" posts which looked inadequate for the job - had they failed, the entire porch would have ripped from the house. I asked Keith to replace the posts with 6x6s and to sister a 2x12 to the existing 2x12 2nd floor header. When he looked at the foundation, he noted (and I agreed) that the walls below the deck on either side of the cellar entrance were failing - and they were part of the support for the deck which in turn supported the porch. As part of this job, he replaced four feet of wall on either side of the basement steps, reinforced the remaining four feet of wall, replaced 2-4x4 posts with 2-6x6 pressure treated posts and sistered a 2x12 to the entire perimeter of the 2nd floor porch (about 20 feet by 6 feet). The job was complicated since one of the porch supports was not directly over the poured concrete pilaster so Keith nailed several pieces of 2x8 between two 2x8 joists to transfer the load to the pilaster. He also put up and painted a piece of chip board to block off the underside of the deck where the dogs like to plan their escape to the great outdoors. I am very satisfied with the work done in relation to the price charged and 4D will be my first call for future work. My only disappointment was that Keith subcontracts the gutter work. Although the price he quoted was excellent, actually getting the subcontractor on site to quote the job has proven impossible to date (almost 6 weeks).
Description of Work: Removed and replaced four feet of concrete and fieldstone wall on either side of rear basement steps and reinforced with poured concrete the remaining fieldstone wall, repoured and leveled the basement steps, replaced two 4x4" posts with 2-6x6" pressure treated posts (approximately 9' tall), sistered 26' of 2x12" porch header, installed and painted 3'x6' plyboard bulkhead under porch. Removed and disposed of all construction debris.
Description of Work: I have used Keith for a variety of jobs - drywall repair, interior paint, mild plumbing, epoxy flooring, and the jobs were done quickly at a very low cost.

Fantastic, and he is very thorough with all that he does, from start to finish!
Description of Work: I had a water leak in our sunken fire pit. Keith came right over and helped extract the water, and then removed the cedar wood panels not damaging them and saved the not wet wood, to replace after the repairs. After evalluating the situation, he did fill in some opened areas on the lower part of the hearth of the firplace with mixed cement and water proofed with a water proof mixture. on the concrete walls, a few coats. He then carefully replaced the cedar panels and resealed all of this area as well. He has done numerous other jobs, like remodeled my two and half car garage, with a work shop bench for my husband and repaint the walls and removed the pop corned ceiling, repaired a hole in the garage ceiling that someone put there foor through. They retexturized my garage floor. I am a full time licensed realtor and have called on Keith for all kinds of jobs, which al my clients LOVE this man;s work. He has remodeld Kitchens, cabinets and replaced and ran plumbing for dishwashers, he has replaced floors, windows, added vynil siding, dne roof repairs. I have not seen anything that he could not do, and do it with such pride, and is very professional, polite, and responsible. I have referred to him as our God sent Handyman/ that can do ANYTHING! HE is VERY REASONABLE and worth more then he charges. Can not say enough wonderful, positive things about Keith. He will be missed here, and will be a fine asset to the New York area!
