Description of Work: I paid $349 as per offer. I had to move half of a small studio from the Upper East Side to Riverdale, a 30 minute trip at most. I told them before they came, nonetheless they brought a truck that you could fit the Empire State Building in it. It took 2 hours to three men to load the few items in their truck. I left at the same time they did. I took the bus that took 40 minutes to take me home, it took them an hour and a half to get to my place and took them forever to bring the items upstairs. At the end they said that I had to pay them cash (and only cash) for the extra time that came to $260 and they wanted $50 extra for each of them as a tip. I gave them $300 (all I had) and they were furious. Of note, I gave them a TV stand with shelves worth more than $400 and they took a wall clock for themselves, and still they wanted t$150 in tip. When I asked them why it took them so long to arrive, they said the truck was too big and was not allowed to circulate in some streets, that is pure balderdash because in the last 7 years I moved three times fully furnished 2 bedrooms apartments from similar locations in Manhattan to this apartment in Riverdale where they moved me and no truck encountered navigational problems in the past. They simply sat out for a coffee on the way here, or something like that, so they accrued the difference. They are simply small time crooks. Use them at your own peril.

Description of Work: The movers were good. However, they got stuck in traffic and not having the clearance for their truck to go the route they planned. They ended up charging me almost double the agreed upon price. Also, they were travelling from Westchester to Manhattan and should have known which route to take that would allow for their truck clearance well before getting on the road.

+ -1 moreI had scheduled a 9am appointment and the movers arrived right on time. I always received a call the day before to confirm the time. They technically charged me for 2 movers, but gave me 3, which was great. All the 3 were fast, courteous , and eager to please. They also wrapped up a couple of things that needed wrapping. They also secured all my stuff inside their truck with ties to make sure nothing would move around. They only took 1 break and it lasted about 3 minutes towards the end of the job. I moved to a house and they had to go to different floors to drop different boxes off based on my direction with no complaints. They wanted to make sure we were happy with the final location of the all our things. I would use them again based on their work ethic, speed, and reliability.
Description of Work: Move a 1 bedroom apartment from Long Island City to Long Island, approximately 19 miles away.

They took great care in preparing the the items for the move and delivered them in pristine condition. I purchased the service through an Angie's List Big Deal but would not hesitate to recommend them or to use them for future needs even if a deal was not available. Pricing for items beyond the deal was very reasonable.
Description of Work: Green city moved some furniture from a home in Stamford Ct and delivered it to our home Hartsdale and picked up furniture from our home and delivered it to Brooklyn.

Their reviews were good, had a really informative website and knowledgable substance on questions I had. I called them up and Norman was assigned to help me throughout my move. He was my "moving consultant" and did a great job, I must have called him a dozen times between my actual move date, he was always friendly and professional. On the day of my move, the moving crew came on time and rocked the entire time. They barely took a break and had all my stuff packed and loaded within under 4 hours. At my new apartment they unloaded everything and put some things back together that I had taken apart prior to the move. I was surprised how quick and easy my move was. I will highly recommend them to anyone. Thank you so much Green city movers.

A friend of mine recommended a moving company she has used in the past, but they couldn't accommodate me, because it was last minute. I came across green city movers online, they booked me right away and scheduled my move. I was relieved and thrilled that i was able to find these guys at such a short notice. My apartment was fully furnished and I must admit I am a bit of a hoarder. I didn't have any time to get packing boxes on my own and was on a budget. Needless to say, the guys came with all the packing supplies, they were very courteous and professional. I own a few priceless heirlooms as well that I was very worried about getting damaged and whatnot but they wrapped everything up and nothing got damaged! The movers were extremely professional and knew exactly what they were doing, these were no amateurs. They are extremely affordable as well, between the moving supplies and hours spent to move me, i was expecting to pay much more. I was very lucky to have found them, they are my go to moving guys for as long as i live!

+ -1 moreI've moved quite a few times and this is by far the best moving company and experience i had. Green City Movers took care of everything. These guys carefully packed and wrapped everything. In my previous moves, almost always i had furniture get scratched, chipped or something would break. With these guys, not one item was damaged and I have a lot of stuff. I had it happen so many times in the past that i began thinking it comes hand in hand with moving. Boy was I wrong! In addition, the estimate I was given was exactly how much the move cost me, give or take a few bucks. This is a first time as well. All in all, I will absolutely use Green City Movers for my future moves and will recommend them to anyone. These guys come in and get it done and the best part is that there are no hidden fees! Definitely an A+ quality service for a very reasonable price.

The staff was excellent and very knowledgeable of best practices to avoid damages. The biggest thing for me was they completed the move for me in a time frame in which was allotted to me by my new landlord. I had an amazing experience with green city movers and I will defiantly recommend them!
Description of Work: The movers at Green City movers did a fantastic job moving me from the Bronx to Manhattan. Green city movers did an exceptional job packing everything up carefully and efficiently while causing no damage. Description of Work: Fabulous! The quote was given to me quickly and concisely over the phone . The green city movers advised us on which items should be carefully wrapped since they were fragile. They took great care of our stuff which made us feel very comfortable and secure in knowing our things are in good hands. They carefully handled picking up and loading our things onto the track, as well as, unloading It and placing it in our new space. The move was accomplished without a single scratch to our furniture or home.

Description of Work: first and foremost they guided me in the direction that was ideal for my move. I say this, bc i dont move often and am not accustomed to making sure my move goes as well as i plan. they provided me with an estimate timeline, which is very important to the way i live my life. I currently reside in NYC and to me time is everything.From the time the movers arrived, they were sensitive to all my needs and requirements. They packed everything professionally, using moving supplies, that personally i wasnt aware of. But the end result was, my precious stuff got to my new home safe and not damaged.
