I called and arranged for an estimate. Mr Ferrarone was able to schedule an estimate within a few days of my call. He provided an estimate at the end of his review of basement. He schedule to start work two weeks after the estimate visit. He arrived on-time and began by removing the debris from the basement. He rebuilt the basement wall with a mix of concrete and cement block. Once the wall set, he returned after a few days to check the work and back fill the soil where the yard had washed out toward the hole in the basement wall. He also patched the asphalt drive that had also caved in. Overall it took him about three and a half days to complete the job.

My chimney needed a new front and David repaired it. The first time it did not stay covered and started peeling from last year.(when it was originally repaired.) This year David returned and covered it again, but using something different. So far it looks pretty good. I'm concerned how it will look after winter.He is a conscientious man and wants to do the best job he can. He is very fair with his price and very professional. He always calls you back within a reasonable time...sometimes the very day you call. Sometimes a job may take him longer so he may not be punctual for your job, but that's not necessarily his fault. Sometimes jobs take longer or you run into unexpected problems.!He scores between excellent and good...I rate him VERY GOOD! I have to have other work done and I will be calling him again.

Everything went very smoothly. Dave came out to the house promptly and gave a thorough, detailed analysis of the work that needed to be done as well as the underlying problems leading to the damage. He was able to start the work promptly. He and his associate worked very neatly, leaving he worksites tidy every evening. They were very efficient, accomplishing quite a bit over a short period. Dave was able to offer good, economical solutions to our drainage issue. They gave a lot of attention to detail, blending the repaired brickwork with the old, so that I can't even tell that work was done (other than for the fact that my bricks are no longer loose!). Overall, I couldn't be happier with the work, and I would not hesitate to use him again if the need arises.

I decided to use Angie's List as the means to contact the company through email. Within a week David called me and agreed to stop out and give me an estimate. In about a week from the initial phone call David called me back again and let me know he had been out to the house and had a estimate ready. David stopped over within an hour of the phone call to meet me and walk around the house to discuss the estimate and the work needed. David was very professional and informative in discussing what he was able to do for me. After taking a couple of days to look over the estimate and compare to others that I had received, I called David back and set up a date for the following Thursday (Aug 9th). David told me at that time that he was finishing another project and he would try and be there in the late morning/afternoon but it was dependent on if the other job went longer than expected. On the 9th David stopped by in the afternoon and let me know that it was rather late in the day to try and get started....so we agreed to have the project started first thing in the morning on Friday the 10th. Due to bad weather (thunder/lightning), we had to once again reschedule for Monday morning (the 13th). David came arrived just prior to 8am with another crew member to help him. Both David and his coworker worked trhoughout the day and were able to complete the project that same day around 5ish. This was exactly the length of time for the project as promised. In looking over the work upon completion I was very pleased. The work was exactly as promised and very well done. I really appreciated the attention to deatil in cleaning up the "mess" afterward not only on my property, but along my foundation wall that runs along my neighbor's driveway. David did a great job cleaning up afterward and my neighbor was very happy as well. I felt the price was more than fair for the work completed. The final price was what was promised from the estimate...very pleased. Both David and his worker were professional and polite. I had no complaints at all while the project was being completed. I plan on using David again in the future for other projects. Very happy with choosing David from start to finish.

Once the repairs were started the process took about 3 weeks to complete. (in order to allow for the material to harden).Dave gave me a 3 year warranty his workmanship and materials.I am completely satisfied with no complaints and would recommend him to all.

Everything went very smooth. David and his crew was courteous and professional. When they were doing the foundation, they had to remove the porch steps to dig under and repair under the deck. They moved the steps to where my dogs could still run out to the yard but wasn't in harms way! :-) That was so considerate! He was more than the other two quotes for the foundation, but he also did far more than the other quotes stated, so I found the price very reasonable. No way I could have done this in a timely fashion. I was even more happy with the way the garage work proceeded. I thought it would take a week, they did it in two days, and they cleaned up beautifully. For this repair, he listened to what we wanted, and did the appropriate work. We asked for a 'bare bones' repair. It had to be safe, but it didn't have to be finely finished. He did exactly that, and saved us so much money. He also offered advice to me on some of the work I was going to do. I still have to finish my part! I would hire David and crew again in a heartbeat, and we have already recommended them to family and friends who need work done.

He did good work. I would use them again.

It was so badly done that I could lift the pointing right off the stone. He broke an ornamental door in half and never came back to fix it despite my already paying him $1,600. I am a widow of 75, my husband just died and I have no recourse. He is a private contractor and the guy is unbelievably bad. He was supposed to stop water from entering the back of the house; he said he would do the work himself but instead he sent out another worker who had no concrete work experience and did not know what he was doing. He was supposed to point and waterproof the back steps but that was not done correctly. The patio is still leaking. He did come out several times to try to fix things but did nothing and now will not answer my calls. He is a terrible man and I give him F's in all categories. I will not use him again in the future.

We got a quick and thorough estimate, the work was done on time and well, and Dave handled any necessary changes quickly and professionally. Very importantly, we thought the work was pretty good but he came back of his own volition and touched a few things up and the project went from a B to an A+. We've already contracted with him to do another project.

They did a good job. He was very personable and very approachable. He did his own work and didn't have any problems.

I found David Ferrarone on Angie's list for previous chimney work and skylight installation at our home and we were very pleased with his work, so we had him come back again for some chimney repair. He diagnosed a leak in our chimney so he repointed our chimney, took out the old grout and put in new. The quality of work was excellent. We will use him again in the future if needs arise.

At first the job seemed well done. The workers never came back to clean up the sheetrock dust and debris. Two calls later, David came back and cleaned up the debris. The leaking started to happen about a month ago, in new spot in the downstairs ceiling. He said it was a different leak, in a different area and so wasn't covered under the guaranty. I had them install a ceiling fan where a normal light fixture had been, and they just jammed the box up there and it doesn't work. The $300 Angie's List discount got added back on to my bill to cover materials. Plus, he charged an extra $400 for additional work. I had another company come in today to look at the job and was shown that no new shingles were laid, no flashing was done and that he used a "Peel & Stick Tar" instead. There was no new sheetrock. The second company said that the shingles on both sides of the roof need to be replaced, and they could do it for $4200.00. I want my $3000 back from David, sot that I can have this problem fixed once and for all.

Dave has been great. I will continue to hire him, project-by-project as he gives it time, then returns to determine whether all work has settled in as described and expected.

I don’t get a whole lot of response from him. We play a lot of phone tag. A lot of contractors just don’t call back. I contacted several contractors who didn’t call back but David called me back. We corresponded for about a month before he started to work. He’s done what he said he’d do. I’m waiting for his invoice.

He strung a tarp over the back stairwell. When it rained it smashed a door in half. He cemented half the outside work. He missed 4 apts and charged 1625 and my cellar still leaks. When I called a woman answered a phone and said he blew me off because he does not like call backs. No one has ever come back to fix any of the problems.

A part of my roof was giving me trouble for years. Everything was blown off a couple of times. The problem after it has gotten repaired has never occurred right away. It is something that would occur a year or two later. I don't know how well it is done until I have had it up there for a few years. His price was okay. He was excellent overall.

At first it appeared to go well, but within days of installing the sheet rock the mold was back on the new sheet rock. The seepage continued and the only thing that works is the dehumidifier! Nothing he did was worth anything. He was charging half of what everyone else wanted and I should have known better. Don't hire this man. He is a true con man. he seems so nice and honest and sincere but so do all good con men . He also comes on time and appears to respond to your questions . He seems sooo professional, but again it is all just show and he did nothing to repair the problem.

My advice would be that they are worth contacting and having work for you. I will use them again in the future.

The overall experience was very positive.

We will never use this company again. We had issues after they finished the job and I had already paid the owner. They really did not do what they said they would do including leaving paint marks on new siding. They also dumped a bucket of something on my lawn which burned a patch on my lawn. By the following summer the paint had started to already started to flake and peel in a lot of the places; they just did a very poor job. We called them the day after they had been here and been paid, since their work was supposedly guaranteed, and the owner never returned our call. We tried repeatedly to get in touch with him and he never would return our calls. We never pursued it beyond that although we probably could have and we will never call him again. He was punctual but other than that I will not use them again in the future.

I didn't get his name off Angie's List, but I know he is on it. David is very professional. He is very thorough, cleans up everything, and makes sure everything is covered. I actually had him come last year to do some masonry work in my fireplace. He is just very good. I would hire him again and again.

David Ferrarone did an excellent job, they were very clean and provided quality work. They were honest and the prices were fair for the work that was done. The owner and his employees worked well together and they were good people.

David and all members of his crew were extremely professional and informative. The work was performed as described in the written estimate in the time frame proposed. Although the exterior cannot be painted until the spring so that mortar can cure, the work is professionally finished both inside and out. The work site was kept clean and free of debris and clutter, and now that I know that this company does more than just masonry, I'll be calling them first before any other major projects are undertaken on both my residence and one rental property. This company is a gem with old fashioned trustworthiness and professionalism.

David and his people did the work as promised. Very good service and follow up.
