Good luck.Provider made an appointment with me to survey my roof and give me a cost estimate for a fireplace chimney flashing repair. I took time off from work, and waited and waited. He never showed up and never called me. I called several times, and just got his voice mail. Never heard from him again. Good luck.

I had contacted this contractor to have my front porch re-cemented. He did return my initial call the same day but left a message that was a bit short stating he was going to mow his lawn so not to bother calling him back and he would call me another time. That was fine. He did contact me the following day and I explained the job and what my problem was. He gave some advice but said he would look it over. We set up an appointment for the following week after work so I could discuss with him. The appointment was scheduled for 5:30 p.m. I left work and rushed home to meet him and waited, and waited. He never showed up or called. Finally an hour later I called him only to have him tell me that he was in the area earlier and decided to just come by and take a look for himself. He never called me to cancel our scheduled appointment or even to say he was coming by earlier. I thought this was incredibly unprofessional and when I mentioned it he got snotty and basically told me he had come all the way from Dewitt and did not see the point in "Sitting around for an hour in my driveway". Seriously? I reminded him that even though this made sense it was incredibly rude and unprofessional to blow me off without a phone call if he wanted to come earlier. I wouldn't have minded if he wanted to come earlier and I would not have bothered to rush home had I known he wasn't going to show at our scheduled. He finally did apologize for that and said he agreed he should have called. I was willing to give the benefit of the doubt and he gave me a verbal price on the job.. I will note he almost seemed annoyed by the thought of doing this job and made sure I knew it would be a hassle for him and his crew. Regardless I told him that sounded okay and asked that he send me a formal quote so I had paperwork. He said he would, took my email address and that was the last I heard from him. I never received a quote from him. I called him back two weeks later to follow up and left him a message saying I hadn't received the quote and asked him to contact me. He never did. He never returned my call or sent me a quote. This guy is incredibly unprofessional and, in my opinion, has terrible customer service. Many times he made me feel as if I was putting him out by asking for the work and does not know how to talk to customers. IF you have a high dollar job it appears he gets good reviews but I'm thinking if the job won't bring in the higher dollars, you don't matter much. Beware when you contact! You may or may not get a follow through or a professional response.

VERY fast at coming out to look things over and explain what he would have to do. Gave me a verbal estimate at that time and said a formal written estimate would follow in a few days. Thought that the job would entail 21/2 - 3 days and cost $3200. Which he also promised would include the cost of repair of any other cracks that might turn up during the job. The only hiccup came when I waited nearly 2 weeks for the written estimate. At that time, I called David to remind him about the contract and he apologized and had the contract in my email by that evening. I accepted his proposal and they started work the following week. They (David and his 2 employees) worked like mad on the first day trying to get as much done as possible before the predicted rain came. And they did get a vast majority of the work done that day. Some of the work needed interior access, but David arranged for that around my schedule. They were only supposed to replace the parge coat on that one outer wall, but they surprised me by doing the entire house!! And it was a very nicely done finish, too. I later found out that they found another crack on the opposite basement wall and ended up digging that spot down to the bedrock. I was amazed to hear they even did this, since the little patch of ground they had to operate in is half filled with a large flowering plant......that looked nearly undisturbed. And as a "gift" to me, David also patched up a few small cracks and some chipping on the front steps to my house! All in all, a good experience with a hardworking and talented team.

The entire project went perfectly. They arrived on time, every day. They were very courteous and friendly. They were very careful around the landscaping. I was very impressed. Compared to other estimates I made the best choice. I would highly recommend them.

Never contacted us after the initial meeting. I put in 0 for cost as he never quoted us. However, a subsequent quote for all the work was in the tens of thousands. I gave him a B for punctuality as he did show up on time the first time we met.

Very well. Was able to do my repair work in earlier than expected. Worked hard whole time he and assistant were here. A lot less expensive than one mason who would only tear down and build a new chimney and another one who would only work a whole day. Dave got the work I needed done in 1/2 day.

He was prompt, professional and thorough. Communicated with me throughout the process so i never wondered if he was going to show or when he was going to finish. The work was good quality. Chimney looks great.

This contractor is a class act. He is punctual and professional in every respect. His technicians are also top people. David presents as a serious and talented craftsman and his finished work is proof of this. He performed our projects in what I would describe as record time. There were no wasted motions on this job site. I observed top name brand materials being used and his equipment was also top quality which is apparent in the finished product. He defined his schedule and kept to it over the course of the job which is very nice for the homeowners own planning purposes. We would not hesitate to contract with David again for any project in or around our home.

David Farrarone provided excellent work and the bill matched his initial estimate. He was careful to match the color of the old mortar and his crew cleaned up well afterwards. The work was delayed a bit by weather, but David communicated with me regularly about his progress and responded promptly to my questions. I will definitely use him again, and recommend him to others.

bookshelves back together after the repair work was done.We called David and he was very responsive. He came out to give a quote within 24 hours of our call. He was easy to talk to, straightforward and very knowledgeable. I have no knowledge of foundations and as he explained the structure of our foundation I felt educated and not patronized. The work was done in less than a day and he and his co-worker unobtrusively worked inside and outside the house. We needed bookshelves taken apart and reconstructed to get to the crack in the foundation. We had forgotten to remove books etc but he did this himself carefully and without question along with putting the bookshelf back together. In closing he went with us to observe the full repair inside and out and to explain exactly what he did including what materials he used. He understood the urgency of the repair but never made us feel rushed in terms of understanding what he was doing. A+ I would recommend DH Farrone in the future and will use him again for sure.

The repairs were made on a home that we were in the process of buying, but needed repairs done prior to closing, so the repair was extremely time/budget sensitive and Dave completed the project early and on budget. Though the actual repairs were fairly standard (Re-tuckpointing parts of the chimney and repair to the flashing), gaining access to the chimney on the extremely steep roof was not. In fact, several other contractors that came out wouldn't even bid the job. This is the second time I've hired Dave - he also repaired some leaks at another property - and I highly recommend him.

David does really good work, honest, reasonable and easy to work with. Where previous contractors could not find roof leak, David knew exactly what to do which saved a lot of headache of repeat leakage and ceiling patching. The side walk need several pieces of limestone replaced. David made the side walk look like it had always been there. It was a good job. The roof cleaning looks good and pressure washing was all done to satisfaction. The swing set turned out great considering how dirty and aged it is. The job was estimated very accurately and I am very pleased with David's work and attention to detail, work quality and ethics. David was busy and had to work with the weather yet still he was able to do the work I needed before placing my house on the market. Be patient...he's well worth the wait!

The price was very good. He did an excellent job. He came when he said he was going to come. He did what he said he was going to do, and I did not have to worry about clean up.

very well. Dave and his worker were very punctual,delivered what was promised and even advised me to report to my insurance company. I did not think it would be covered but most of the repairs were.

Communication was outstanding promptly returning my original call for an estimate. He immediately scheduled a time and date to view the required work. On the day of the estimate provided a detailed description of the work required and provided an available start date and estimated time of complete. Repairs were begun and completed on time. I highly recommend Ferrarone and plan on utilizing his expertise on future projects.

Did great job, including fixing the damper. Inspection revealed that both chimneys needed extensive re-pointing. Made appointment to have that work done. All work done promptly, when scheduled, and very well!

Initial work seemed fine. Multiple contacts subsequently with good response initially , now with little or no response. I have requested follow up do to a continued leak in one spot. Final assessment still can't be made yet, as I am not sure when/ if he will honor his contract??? Hopefully I can report back with good news in the near future.

Pleased with their punctuality; Responded to initial call for estimate in timely manner. Owner was polite and helpful, but I was not comfortable with crew when I found they helped themselves to items left over from my garage sale without asking. When they repaired my foundation, they had to remove some of the wood panels of my porch. One board must have broke, and they replaced it with three odd pieces, so the job looked like a piecemeal fix. They also gave me an estimate on the 2 different jobs they did, but there was no itemized bill, so I was unable to see how the final bill was determined.

Dave came the following day after I submitted an e-mail to him. He was fair with the price and I agreed for him to do the service. It rained for 4 days- on the 5th day the worked on the chimney and completed the job. 1 week later painted the chimney. 4 days later came to clean the chimney and completed the job. He cleaned up any mess that incurred outside as well as inside. Very pleased with the whole experience.

There were several cracks and cap separations on our chimney allowing water inside the fireplace. They repaired the damaged areas, re-tarred the chimney to roof, swept and inspected the inside of the chimney. I feel the price they charged for the amount of work they did was a fair deal. They were prompt, had good people skills, and did a good job!

I'm very pleased with the results. The foundation looks great, the yard and basement were left very tidy. Since the work has been done it has rained quite hard and the basement floor did not get wet. I will call David again when I'm ready to re do the driveway. I think he understands the issues of old homes very well.

We had approximately 50' of old sidewalk in front of our house which needed to be replaced. David showed up when he promised for the estimate. We then decided to use him after receiving the estimate. He was able to schedule us sooner than originally thought (he had a delay in another job). The first day was spent removing the old sidewalk and putting in forms. The second day was spent putting in the sidewalk. The last day was spent removing forms and doing final cleanup. Each day when they left, the work area was clean, the guys doing the work (including David sometimes) were good workers (no troubles with them), and after the job was complete it would have been hard to tell any work was done (except for the new sidewalk, of course). We would use David again for future work. In fact, we now wish we'd used him for a previous job because we're sure that he would have done a better job than the contractor we did end up using.

Dave and his crew did a great job. They came when they said and stayed with the job until it was completed. They were meticulous with their work blended with the house.
