BEWARE SCAM ALERT - Brian Lall of Tower General Construction is a shady person. Brian and his crew are unskilled, unqualified, manipulators and cut corners. He had begged me to hire his company and sold me on that his company does excellent high quality work in a timely matter and are dedicated. He stated he stays with the crew until the job is finished. This is false. They did not have the needed tools to do the job correct. Shortly after I had paid him half of the total cost to do a project in cash he made excuses not to start the job. Eventually a date was set, he was a no show and unable to locate for days. I contacted someone he knew and told him I was going to notify the Fraud Department if I did not hear from him, minutes later Brian called. He and his crew eventually did start but immediately continued with numerous no shows, not even a courtesy call to reschedule. Do not be fooled by his actions acting sincere, soft spoken, polite manners at first, responding yes Miss or boss, no problem or no charge and pictures shown of his work. It is all a front. Be careful you are not paying for items he may be using for another job. Brian offered to pick up materials at cost and he will provide a store receipt. I gave him monies, he purchased materials and asked for more monies to cover materials cost. I gave him additional monies he requested. Four times I asked him for a receipt in which I never got. Since I felt I was overcharged for materials I told Brian for future materials I will purchase with him. Majority of the time I would purchase extra material than was needed as per Brian's recommendation. This is acceptable but it seemed unused material or items purchased would disappear. Home Depot personnel informed me some contractors return the extra items and keep the store credit they get. Brian and his crew ruined all new materials I had purchased; Pergo floor, cabinets, doors, tile ... Floor has chips in various areas from crew working on the floor uncovered and tools dropping, due to new cabinet above microwave not installed correct there are additional holes that were cut for receptacle and where hose was to be installed for external vent, cuts are uneven from doing by hand, new cabinets has chips, scratches and indentation...new door does not close without side damage, he was trying to convenience me when you cut a hollow door to size that it stays hollow no solid bottoms are to be attached afterwards, plaster not smooth in several areas on wall, new bathroom tile grout is cracking and not even, tile was not cut correct, used flat paint to paint bathroom, corrected paint to semi gloss but was not the color I selected... Spilled paint on my original wood floors, new stove and frig. covered with plaster. I told him numerous times for his crew to cover up the floor, stove and frig.in which they had not. Numerous paint drips or second paint coat needed in areas. The list goes on. Clean up was not provided at all times. His word, quality of work is not to be trusted. His work is not guaranteed as he stated, my two week job was extended numerous times into months and never completed. His crew would complain to me individually that Brian was not paying them for their work. He had a 17 year old training on my dime. I asked for him to do clean up duties only. Brian responded he has to learn sometime. I witnessed 17 year old was painting, Brian showing him how to cut Pergo flooring... They even locked the second floor door for me not to enter that area freely in my own house. Brian had highly recommended a friend of his who was a plumber, I hired him, I gave Brian a $1000 down payment for the plumbing job. The plumber was not successful with the job, I had to hire another plumber. Brian had taken the money, and said that he would apply it to the contract that we had. Said contract was never completed. Within the time frame Brian, his crew and an electrician and his crew (Tower General was not affiliated with electrician or his crew) were in my house personal items were stolen in which included my deceased mother's jewelry. Brian told me I was an easy target to take financial advantage of in which he did. He was given numerous opportunities to correct work but unfortunately the results were worse. Avoid the aggravation, your time and hard earned monies, DO NOT HIRE!

The company installed a good-quality shower body and then came back a few days later to adjust it when we determined that the water was not hot enough. Tower was responsive, professional, and clean-- for plumbers. Best of all, they gave me a reasonable estimate and plan for the replacement of my 80-year-old tub.
Description of Work: 1) Replacement of a shower body (lever) in the bathroom of first-floor apartment ($225.) 2) replacement of a gasket in the bathroom sink of second-floor apartment ($40.)
