Update (11/06/2022): It has now been two months since our project was "completed." Further issues with our driveway have been revealed with the passage of even such a short time period. We now have pitting on several flags in our driveway. Repeated attempts to get Matthew to show up to address and fix the issues with our driveway have been unsuccessful. It seems the written one-year guarantee for his work is absolutely useless. While we will continue our efforts to get Matias to return and fix his work, we have little to no faith that he will do so. At this point, it seems we are left with little choice but to hire another contractor to fix his substandard concrete work and then head to court to recover the additional thousands of dollars it will cost us to do so. +++end of update*** Use anybody else. Seriously. Could not be any less professional to deal with. I would give them negative stars if it was possible. While his crew members were hardworking, Matias (owner) himself refused to complete the job properly. Walked around before the job and told us that nothing we were asking for was a problem, then refused to perform the work we had agreed was to be done once the project was underway. Contract called for 2500 sq ft of concrete, yet in the end we were shorted by well over 100 feet. Additionally, he demanded extra payment to finish the job and seal the seams as was supposed to be done in the first place. We were also shorted on concrete volume off the truck so his crew had to mix the balance themselves, on site. Concrete is uneven (not only visible at first sight but further evidenced by water pooling in several different spots along my driveway), large digs appeared just days after being set, and they did not clean up anything as they were working or finishing up day after day. We called him several times to come over and see the mess he left behind only to have him fail to show repeatedly. When he finally showed up this evening he accused my wife and I of creating the stains ourselves before telling us **go [expletive] yourselves** and driving away. I have concrete spattered all over my vinyl siding, large drip stains all across my driveway, and he even refused to remove all of the existing concrete he was replacing as stated in the contract. He left our property in shambles; anybody who doubts me is free to come over and see for themselves. Save yourselves the headache of dealing with this man and use anybody else.

The work was very horrible. The commitment with the owner was not kept as he promised. I will not recommend anyone. The owner only worries about getting the money from me. BAD BUSINESS

Fantastic work. From day one, Matias was professional and provided a high level of communication that was rare to see. Between that and his knowledge and enthusiasm for the specifics of good concrete work, he gave me a lot of confidence in hiring him, and I’m glad I did. In only a single day, Matias and his team removed a heavily overgrown, 20x20 sqft backyard area and installed a new concrete driveway in its place. Any concerns I had about accommodating for uneven elevation on the sides bordering the driveway were addressed ahead of time, and the end result is a smooth and beautiful driveway with a great finish and awesome quality. Needed to redo my driveway and front of my house including new paver walk way and retaining wall. Glad I picked Barcelona. Matias and his team was professional, detailed, and attentive. They did my sidewalk and driveway. One flat on the sidewalk had a height difference with the adjoining flat which became noticeable after the caulking between the two flats started coming out. I reported it to them and they fixed it at no additional cost. Matias is very trustworthy.

The work on one sidewalk flat was not correctly done initially (height difference of more than 1" from the adjoining flat), but Matias subsequently came by to fix it and they replaced the adjoining flat at no additional cost.

Barcelona gave me a more competitive proposal than other contractors to replace my sidewalk and driveway. They were professional, efficient and customer focused ( I had unique requirements which they listened to and addressed). Neighbors have commented on not only how nice the new work looks but also on how non-disruptive the construction vehicles and workers were. The day after my project was completed, I am a very satisfied customer.

Mr Morocho - was a very professional, personable and reliable construction manager . From the very beginning he was very patient - listened carefully and prepared a very detailed proposal for us covering all our needs. He redid our two driveways and repaired 3 wall retainers . The quality of his work are above standards . He used excellent materials and brought in workers that performed to the best of their abilities.
