We are a Queens based tile contractor. Our top priority at Celtic Tile is customer satisfaction. Our business has been built on the quality of our work. We work professionally and diligently to always get the job done just the way you envision. Give us your design ideas or ask for ours. We use only the best quality materials to ensure that your job will last. Our showroom is your home and we never forget that! We offer free estimates and price each job based on square footage.
The two workers from Celtic Tile were helpful when we planned the work, prompt on the days they did it, finished a little ahead of schedule, cleaned up after themselves reasonably well. Some months later, the co-op apartment building in which we live had to replace a marble step. I wanted Celtic to get the job, so I contacted the firm's owner. He admitted that that job was a little out of his line, but he came by and prepared an estimate. Others in the building thought it was too high and found another firm to do the job. It took an extra effort to get them to show up and do the job, but eventually they did, their work seems to be fine, and it was less expensive than the Celtic Tile figure.

Might have provided more suggestions and ideas for how the job could have been done, but on the whole came when they were supposed to, did each day's work as they said they would, were polite and cooperative.

It looks beautiful, and Steve has offered to come back to do some touch-ups around the outlet plates. We'll definitely hire him for more work in the future.
Description of Work: Steve installed some very challenging (and pricey) tile for our kitchen backsplash. About 30 square feet.

We hired Stephen to do our marble backsplash. We wanted a simple subway design with Schluter metal edging to cap off the top and side ends. We bought the marble, Schluter edging, and spacers. Stephen bought the thin set and grout that we specified. We presented him with wonky pre-war plaster walls where sections bowed in and out like gentle waves. He said that was a problem, especially when using marble tiles, but that he would do his best. The result was very impressive. Our backsplash looks flat on both sides of the galley kitchen. Overall, we are happy with the work. The tiling was straight and the cut pieces at the corners look great. The only thing that could've been done better was the mitering of the Schluter edging where they met at the outside corners. Some corners had larger gaps between the metal pieces than I would've liked. The job took two days and he swept the floor on the last day. Personality-wise, he's a good guy and knows what he's doing. We would hire him again if we redo the bathroom.

I could not be happier with the work performed. Stephen and his workers were very personable and professional and most importantly got the job done on time. We certainly will be using him in the future and recommend him to all our friends.
Description of Work: I had a new basement porcelain tile put in and a beautiful new bathroom tile installed. In the bathroom they used ceramic tile with a glass boarder on the walls and granite tile on the steps leading into the jacuzzi tub.
