Description of Work: I had an Iron filtration system installed and was truly impressed at how efficient, knowledgeable, and kind this business is. Had asked for a quote from an out of town provider and they pushed the hard sell for soft water treatment that I repeatedly had to say I wasn't interested in, so I called Lowe's. I haven't regretted it since! Being a new home owner, I have worked with a lot of different contractors this year, and Lowe's sticks out as one of the most pleasant and professional experiences I have had to date.

Description of Work: Installed laminate flooring in kitchen. First installation had many problems and 80% had to be lifted and redone. Three transitions all had installation problems that needed to be redone and required waiting for new materials. Second time better but some damage occurred in lifting and replacing the floor plus damage incurred on flooring bordering the installation. A third time was required to complete the work. The process took over three months to complete and it should have been done in one day.

They sent out subcontractors. A guy came and measured the three doors. Two of them were hanged already. We bought the deadbolt. All he had to do was to plumb it and put the lock on to the two other doors. One of my sons pulled it out of the bedroom the other way and ripped the frame off the door. I got a new frame for the door, which hikes up the labor again. He comes and looks at the three doors. He does the measurement from Lowe’s and that was it. It took them about four days to get back to me with his estimate. His estimate for the three doors where the two doors were already hanged was $868.
Description of Work: I went to Lowe’s to get the door installed because it is where I bought the door.

Description of Work: A nightmare and disaster. They put down a wood floor and new kitchen cabinets for me, and their contractor messed up so that the whole floor has to be removed. I had to threaten them with a lawyer, and after months of arguing, hours and days spent discussing and having their inspectors come to my house, peer at the shoddy work, waste my time, I finally got a refund. They were wonderful until I paid up in the beginning, and once I paid (they make you pay the full amount up front)their staff person assigned to my project suddenly stopped answering my calls. He was supposed to supervise the work, and I ended up dealing with all their workers. Wish I had time to sue them for hardship and headache, and time lost.

Here's the deal: The water heater cost $220. Total cost, including installation, was to be $475. When the serviceman got to the house he said that there were all sorts of issues and it would cost an ADDITIONAL $550. to install the tank. He said that it'd take a couple of additional hours, and the rest was for parts, (so a few hundred dollars for parts). One of the things he said was an issue was that he couldn't even drain the water heater, (it was clogged or something and he'd have to get an extra guy so that they could tip the tank over), BUT the water heater WAS JUST DRAINED 2 days earlier because we thought the problem was that the elements had blown and so drained the tank and replaced them, (it wasn't the elements). So clearly - that was... ummm... "not accurate", at all. So total cost that Lowes wanted to install a $220. water heater was $1025. Did I have them do it? No way. I had them leave the water heater. Today I had the water heater installed. It took about 2 hours, and did not need ANY additional parts - none. Not one dime was spent on additional parts. All the parts needed came with the water heater. One last note - I understand the serviceman is not a Lowes "employee". But Lowes - he is YOUR contractor, hired by you to service your customers, and so Lowes IS still responsible for the service that he provides under your name.
Description of Work: I contacted Lowes to install a water heater. They advertise same day installation and since I needed it installed the NEXT day, contacted them.
