After choosing his lisiting I called and left a message on the machine; received no answer the first time; called again the next day and got a reply. I told him what I wanted; we made an appointment and he came promptly. We discussed the work, which included also a small bit of carpentry to replace a 2/4 on the deck railing. He gave me an estimate of $450. Even though it seemed high, I accepted it, because I needed to get the job done by a certain date, about 6 weeks later. He said he would start sometime the next week and bring a written estimate. That was the last I saw or heard from him. I called once the following week, leaving a message, but got no answer. I can only conclude he didn't want to do the job, for some reason.
Description of Work: I needed my deck power washed and the cement-block wall on one side and wood railing on 2 sides painted.

I was very pleased with the estimate from Jim Yarbrough (owner) - it was full of detail (he asked questions to be sure he was giving me what I wanted) and much less expensive than a similar quote (with much less detail) from another contractor. The work they did was fantastic - solid, professional quality - and the extra touches are really nice. For instance, Jim found some copper caps for the posts that matched the solar lights I already had in other areas. He also made some really nice railings, took the time to sand down the edges of the deck planks to give them a nice finished look, and he raked the soil back in around the sidewalk after the concrete set. The project took a bit longer than I'd hoped - there was a break in the middle where Jim got caught up in other stuff - but I was more than satisfied with the apology he gave me, and the quality of his work is so high that I would absolutely hire him again.
Description of Work: IQS removed and replaced my front sidewalk and entry deck/stairs.

Response from IQS CONSTRUCTION
Thank you Member. It's nice to hear the positive feedback. In fact you gave me a better grade on punctuality than I would have given my self. Certainly not something that I am proud of. Again thank you. Jim
