As with the previous job (about 7 yr ago, with no problem since then with that roof), they worked very quickly (less than 5 hr with a crew of 4) and did an excellent job. They were also very careful with the cleanup, even going over the adjacent lawn areas with a magnetic sweeper to grab any stray nails. Dwayne can be hard to get hold of before the job, but his crew is very busy in warm weather, and he did manage to squeeze my job into an already full schedule.

Excellent. Great quality. Timely. Polite. Quick. Skilled. Highly recommend. A great experience. I rated the price a B as he's not the cheapest. But it's worth the money.

I called Austin Construction about getting a roof replacement, on the advice of my neighbor, a retired contractor. The phone went straight to voicemail every time, although I was calling during business hours, so i don't think there's an actual office. I left messages several times with no response, and had given up and was looking for other roofers when Duane called me back. He was personable and professional on the phone, asked reasonable questions and seemed to know his stuff. He said he'd need to go out and take a look at the house and would then email me a quote later that week. I waited a couple of weeks and no quote; I phoned him back (voicemail, of course!) and left a message, but still no response. I have to agree with the other feedback here: he may be a good contractor, but he sure doesn't have his act together in terms of customer service! Unresponsive and unprofessional, very disappointed.

Duane is fairly busy and so I had to keep in regular contact to make sure/confirm the start date. However, I found Duane to be responsive and very helpful. He spent a lot of time with me telling me about my roof and roofing options. The start date was delayed by a couple of weeks. However, once they started, they got in and out in 2-3 days.

As above, expectations are always exceeded, bar none.

I'd heard good things about Austin Construction, but 'customer service' is an important component of how one does (or should do) business. Left 3 separate voice mails (over 8-9 day period) to set up an appointment for some work, and despite the very cheerful 'your call is important to us, and we'll be right back to you as soon as possible', they never replied. As soon as possible means and lt;24 hours if you want my business. if you don't reply to a customer inquiry, then you have just lost a potential customer. Of course, your results may vary from my experience, but Austin Construction goes on my list of businesses that I won't waste my time with.

As a do-it-myselfer, this was the first house repair job I have ever hired out, and the experience with Duane Austin and his crew was extremely positive. His was the best estimate of four contractors, and I went with him based on a friend’s prior experience, cost, quality and thoroughness of the estimate, and the availability of the extended GAF System Plus warranty for small additional cost. Our only real challenge was the rainy weather which delayed the start date but that is the reality of outdoor work. With Duane and crew, I felt that we were working together on any questions and issues that arose. He and his crew were polite, punctual, and hard working. The roof repairs and installation were done well, and I am very pleased with the experience and with our new roof. I give them my top recommendation.

Duane was pleasant to work with. His bid was half that of another roofing company. He showed up when he said he would, and the job was finished in a few days. There was a small problem because it rained in the middle of the job, and Duane responded immediately to check it out. The problem did not reoccur. I've experienced no problems with the roof in 13 years. He did a similar job for friends of mine, and they were also pleased with the work.

The work was done in one week. They used a large crew that shortened the overall time. (Other estimates said the job would take two weeks.) They explained what they were going to do, so there were no surprises, and were responsive to questions/concerns. At the end of each work day, they cleaned up. The roof and gutters look great!

I would strongly encourage everybody to stay away from this company. Dwayne is a liar. His workers are incompetent and lazy.
