Jason assessed the damage, gave me a quote and set a date to get started. The worker arrived and did a great job! They arrived on time and left as scheduled. They made sure that all debris was removed when they left as well. Jason gave me a warranty on my roof and didn't have to come back out to do repairs as the other contractor did. I would definitely hire them for other jobs Thank you Jason!

Jason presented his bid with a power point presentation. Explained everything and took care of my special requests. Gave suggestions for removing moss and other growth on my own to save money. The crew was fast, efficient, and cleaned every speck of debris. I only found a few bits and pieces. I highly recommend him and will hire him again if I need to.

I was totally impressed and extremely satisfied by Jason and his men and the work that they did as well as the cost and quality of the work and the effort they put into the job . First let me say the owner Jason has this thing figured out how to do business with the client . He was one of three people I got quotes from and spoke with regarding the job . First on price he was the best ... by a very significant amount which means alot to me .... but not at the expense of quality of materials or service ... I like others want the best combination. He had it .... he came to house ... right on time ...i mean exact every time we met . He explained the options available and the different materials and the guarantees etc . I chose his GOLD package ... a very very good value . The others were late or changed appointments and then one of the others had the audacity to say could not give me an estimate because he uses satellite image to measure the roof so i had to wait longer .... What happenend to the old walk it off , use tape measure and come up with estimate . It concerned me he had no idea going in what the std sheet count might be and how to apply that to a house and its roofs .Enough of him because he came in 2m more Let me also talk about the service and the workmanship of Jason and his team . We had some rain to deal with but he handled that very well letting me know in advance of possible delay as well as new days . This is what you want . Then the work ... his crew was great ... the foreman was fantastic and let me know everything including some rotted boards i had ( the job was last done 25 yrs ago so time had created a little wear . But we had already agreed on what the cost of extras was going to be so not surprises here whihc i like as well there was this communication of exact;ly what they were going to do before they actually did it ( this requires you be around that day but I now trust this guy so i dont think a problem ) Anyway they worked from 8am ..and it was cold ... till sundown .. like a well oiled machine . They were meticuluous in their cleanup as well , we had a dumpster on site ... and we (they ) filled it . My point is these guys are good price is excellant service top notch and the quality of the job ... at least at this point .. is GREAT

The proprietor Jason Tabor arrived promptly and neatly attired to our residence as scheduled and professionally presented his services and product line in a no pressure manner. Also, he took the time to answer all of our questions and concerns. Jason conveyed confidence and gave a good sense that he believes in what he is doing and stands behind it. Xterior Solutions was one of three estimates obtained and was priced in the middle of the other competitors. Jason arranged delivery and removal of a dumpster for roofing debris. We had concerns about potential damage to the driveway from the dumpster. Jason provided plywood for the dumpster corners to rest on. No damage to the driveway occurred. The dumpster was hauled away the same day the roofing job was completed. A crew of 5 arrived as scheduled early Friday to start the job which was to take 2 days. However, due to rain on Saturday the job was completed by early afternoon on Monday. The exposed roof was covered in plastic tarp during rain. As the job came to completion a very detailed cleanup ensued, focused on removing shingle and staple debris from the patio and lawn. The completed job exceeded our expectations in aesthetics and workmanship. We're considering Xterior Solutions for future home improvement projects.

Job went well. Expectations were met. Men were on time, polite and cleaned up job site when done. Jason was helpful. He provided my insurance company with documentation that made it easy for me to make a claim for the damage caused by severe winter weather this past season.

The man that came out was professional and courteous. He was willing to work with me on price but to do that he had to shorten the warranty. I would consider them for future work.

The company's answering service made an appointment for an estimate on the first call. Jason called the morning of the appointment to ask if he could come a half hour early as he was running ahead of schedule. He came and did a thorough inspection of the roof, provided prices for several options and recommended the least expensive option as the probable most durable choice. The crew arrived at precisely the scheduled time, the materials delivery truck arrived shortly thereafter and Jason arrived a few minutes after that with the various miscellaneous materials. Jason went over the project with the crew and then left them to do the work. The crew was diligent, professional, neat and courteous as they removed the old roof, made the necessary repairs to the sheathing and fascia then installed the new water and ice barrier, drip edge and roof. They cleaned up as they went along and when they left there was no indication they had ever been there aside from the perfectly installed new roof. I will recommend Xterior Solutions to anyone in need of the services they provide and will use them again should the need arise.

I looked up Jason on Angie's list for my mom, and I am writing this review for her. Mom said Jason came out to give her the quote and was very professional, timely, and informative. Mom received the quote and accepted it. Jason called mom and setup the day they would start the work. The workers arrived and were very professional. They completed the work timely and efficiently. Mom was very happy with the work and would use them again.

Jason's workers arrived promptly on the agreed date. They set to work and continued steadily throughout the day, with an appropriate hour for lunch. The men were quiet, clean and respectful. They did their job with a minimum of fuss. Materials arrived on time and were unloaded quickly. The dumpster arrived in good time and was put to good use. A rolling magnet was used each day to pick up stray nails, saving our family's feet and car tires from damage. THE WORK STARTED AT 9 A.M. ON THURSDAY AND WAS FINISHED AT NOON ON FRIDAY. The dumpster was picked up at 3 p.m. on Friday. I cannot tell you how pleased I am to have chosen Xterior Solutions to do replace our roof.

We talked to Jason about several option for re-siding our house as the baby blue siding from the 70s had long ago worn out. He was patient as we changed our minds a couple of times and was always helpful in finding the best quality product available for our price range. When we finally settled on a product he ordered the materials and scheduled an installation date. Two of his guys spent almost two weeks (Sundays excluded) removing the old siding and carefully cutting the new siding to fit perfectly. All of our windows were wrapped in white to contrast the gray siding we picked. When the guys ran out of the color siding we had ordered, one of them drove to Albany to get more so as not to delay the job. We were very appreciative of that. The guys also installed new outdoor floodlights on place of the ones we had removed before the project started. We are very pleased with the quality of the work. Jason is returning next week to put a larger gutter. gutter cover and an ice melting coil up on the top floor of our house in hopes of solving issues we have had with snow damaging the gutters and roof. Then we will be ready for winter! If all goes well Xterior Solutions will be back next year to put on a new roof - the last of our major planned improvements.

Work was completed on time and as expected. Overall cost was comparable to other contractor estimates. Jason was prompt and fully explained the value of the products and workmanship that his company provides. Work crew was courteous, professional, and very talented. I'm pleased with all the work that has been done and have hired Xterior Solutions for an additional project.

After a an initial meeting and setting of a service date we had no need for contact with the company until the date of roof replacement. The crew brought their own generator as well as a plethora of cleaning implements as well as your normal roofing tools, which after completion they utiliized to collect nearly every scrap of detritus that found its way to the ground. The team was fast and efficient and seemed to take pride in their work. They even cleaned my living room after some debris had falllen through while they were taking care of the skylights. Overall it was as pleasant experience and the deal we received through Angies List definitely made the price right!

It went well. punctual on time. my roof measurement was more than $6995.00 would cover.It was 2500 sq feet. Approximate date of July 25th-14.

Xterior solutions was great. Jason is very professional and responsive. Let's us know exactly what's going on and gave us updates. One of the more important things that I can say about the quality of their work is it's very neat and the worksite is kept clean. I can't stress enough how annoying it is to pay someone to do a job and come home to find a mess and leftover debris that WE need to dispose of, not cool. This was not the case with Xterior solutions. We got home from work and not a speck of dust or debris was left on the deck. We plan on using him again in the near future to replace our old roof and hopefully further down the line to replace all of our siding (the color is hideous). Thanks again Jason.

we called Jason for a estimate left a message and within ten minutes he called us right back had an appt. set for a saturday but he called to let us know he couldn't make it so i was like here we go another contractor oh boy but he said i can make it on sunday i was like hmmm for a guy to do an estimate on a sunday maybe he was the a good contractor so he shows up right on time and my wife and i liked what he had to say and 2 weeks later they were to start so now its the week the work is going to start i get phone call from Jason we need to put your house off for a couple days due to weather again a phone call as early as he could lets us know very professional . So now the work starts Ed and his son show up start taking off the siding and not all the siding material is delivered again not Jason's fault but a set back . Now everything is here and its amazing how much our house started to change we needed a lot of work done in the front and that was done last so we didn't see the difference right away and we were blown away when Ed finished up the front .Our neighbors have said so many great things about our new home thanks to Xterior Solutions Jason,Ed and his son

This job was excellent from start to finish. Jason was prompt and professional from the first meeting. He gave us an estimate and followed up with any questions we had. We were impressed with his crew who came up with a better solution for the fix that was more effective and cost efficient. Win win.

Jason was very professional and easy to work with. He showed up on time for the estimate appointment, and quickly arranged to have a crew out to do the work. They got the work done promptly, cleaned up well, and it looks very good. They were able to patch in new shingles with our existing ones (14 years old), and blended them in well. After completing the work, it's very hard to notice the new ones, even when knowing exactly where to look.

They were good. We didn't end up using them but we like them. They gave a detailed estimate of what they will do; what they wouldn't do and they were friendly.

So we bought a "fixer upper" a few months ago. At the inspection, we were told that the roof was about 20 years old, and that the flashing around the chimney needed to be addressed. Winter arrived, and with it a whole lot of snow sitting on my roof. One day I came inside to find some plaster lying in a puddle on the floor. I look up to see a pretty steady drip coming from the ceiling. This is not good. The next day I made some phone calls to some roofers. A man named Jason at Xterior Solutions called me within 2 minutes. Yup, that's not a typo... I said 2 minutes. He said he could come by the very next day and take a look at it, which he did. When I met Jason the next day, he introduced himself and shook my hand, and he had a laptop and a folder with my address on the cover. I figured that he would want to take a look right away, but he said that he wanted to go over some things first. He began by telling me about how he got into the business and how he started his company. He then opened up his laptop and asked me to watch a short video presentation about his company. He even had a Google Earth photo of my property to show me the peaks and valleys of the roof. First impressions are very important with me, as you only get one, and I would have to say that I was impressed by his professionalism and thoroughness from the first meeting. Only after all of this did he ask to see the roof. We went out and looked at the roof, and he made it a point to show me everything that he found to be in need of work. He understood most of what he was saying as I've done some construction in my younger years, but anything that I did not, he took the time to explain to me. What it came down to in the end was that I needed a new roof, he said. He explained exactly how and why he came to that conclusion, and answered any questions that I had up to that point. We then went back down into the kitchen and he discussed the different pricing plans that he had according to warranty and types of materials. All of this was also laid out very clearly in his prepared paperwork. Seems like he's done this a few times. We ended by shaking hands, and I told him I'd be in touch. Full disclosure: Obviously with an investment of this magnitude, a smart consumer gets more than one estimate. In the days to follow, I had two other companies come to the house to give estimates. The first company after Xterior Solutions said that I DIDN'T need a new roof, but with the extent of the repairs, they wouldn't take the job. I did NOT have a good feeling after this meeting was over. Then on to company number three. The owner of this company went out on to the roof, and pointed out the same things that Jason did, and also told me that I needed a new roof, but then the estimate was WAY above what Xterior Solutions quoted me. So I called Jason up, and we scheduled another meeting before the work was to begin. This seemed unecessary to me, as I've already basically hired him. When he arrived he wanted to go over the specifics about the work: hours they'd be working, how many people would be there, how they would get the job done. Again, I felt very confident because here he was taking time to come to my house and explain all of the details to me. We then scheduled the work to begin as soon as he had an opening, which was about 2 weeks later, which I took to be a good thing, because it meant that he's busy with work. Then the day came that my new roof was to be installed. I wasn't at the house most of the time while his crew was doing the work, but I did receive the occasional phone call with a progress report. In wrapping this up, after 3 days, I had brand new roof, and everything went exactly how Jason had said they would. There were no surprises (that's a good thing), and I am left with a very satisfied feeling at having hired Xterior Solutions to install my new roof.

So, the roof. We had no intention of replacing the roof. We'd bought our house a couple of years before and were given to understand by the owners and inspector that it was barely in the middle of its life span, so we never gave it a thought. Then last winter happened, and a big leak appeared in the ceiling underneath a valley during the spring thaw. "Ice dam," we figured. "We'll get it repaired. No problem." I went to the trusty 'owners manual' folder that the previous owners had painstakingly put together for us, and found the name of the company that had installed the roof less than 10 years prior and called them. Oops - they'd gone out of business. Not to worry. We still had the make and style of the tiles. We'd call another company and have the valley repaired. I called a couple of reputable companies and asked for quotes. In the process I found out that the tiles had been discontinued, that what we thought was a simple repair would be a large and expensive repair ($5,000 +), and that no matter what we did, the new tiles would look like a patch. Of course the problem area was on the front of the house. Hmmm.. It became clear that we were in that odd place where the roof wasn't in horrible shape, but it needed an immediate repair in one spot and might well continue to need repairs in others after the next winter, and the one after that, and the one after that. What to do? The companies we had spoken to cheerfully quoted us for a new roof (basically tile replacement as the ply seemed sound) in the range of $24,000 + to around $27,000. This was not the outcome we had hoped for. "Replace the roof," my husband insisted. "I don't want to keep dealing with this problem year after year. Asphalt and labor prices are only going to go up." "Ouch," I said. I had those quotes in hand, but I went back to Angie's list and looked for another company or two to talk to. I still didn't feel I had a handle on the whole thing. Going down the list, I called up XTerior Solutions, and soon found myself talking to a man named Jason. I explained my problem. "Good thing you called me," Jason said. "I'm the best roofer in the Hudson Valley/" I laughed. The other guys had told me pretty much the same thing. But I did enjoy his confidence. Jason agreed to come out to talk to us on the weekend (he doesn't usually do weekend appointments, but it was the only time we had), and when he arrived, instead of walking around the house to look at the roof, he first sat down with us and talked. He started his presentation by introducing himself, his work, his experience, his company, his business philosophy, and why he has the confidence to guarantee his work the way he does. He had come prepared with a graphic of our roof derived from Google maps, and together we counted ridges, valleys and square footage. In other words, before we even went outside, he sold us on himself and his company rather than on a new roof. We already knew we had a roof problem, or we wouldn't have called him. Nicely done, Jason. Then we did go outside to look at everything, and he also made a point of crawling up into our attic to inspect the roof from the inside. Behind all the insulation he found a number of ply panels that were covered in mold, and explained that the basic problem with our roof was the way it had been nailed. Moisture had been seeping under the tiles for years and it was beginning to add up. Added to the leak, the case for replacing the whole roof was growing stronger. My husband threw in the idea of adding some sun tunnels to brighten our kitchen while we were at it; it was something we had been planning to do anyway. We talked at length about the repair vs. replace issue. Jason was willing to repair, and his quote for that cam e to slightly less than the others. We talked about how to kill the mold on the ply. My husband started to get that 'I don't want to deal with this' look. "How much for a new roof?" he demanded. Jason crunched the numbers, took off for the Angie's List discount that he had advertised, and the result for the replacement option, while not cheap, was less than the other two quotes which had not included the sun tunnels. We signed the contract for a new roof right there and then. A week or so later, for an entire week, we had a team of between 6 and 9 incredibly nimble roofers crawling all over our house. In the end we had to replace 10 pieces of moldy ply, but they took out only what was necessary. They also installed three fourteen -inch sun tunnels that have completely transformed our kitchen and the quality of the time we spend there. Jason stopped by every day, sometimes twice, to do his job, which is managing and troubleshooting. One morning a novice driver for a materials delivery truck knocked over our light post. Jason spent a lot of time trying to fix it, and when he couldn't he sent over someone who could. It is as good as new. Overall, considering the scale and expense of the job, we emerged from the unexpected and unwanted adventure of replacing the roof more than satisfied and barely stressed. The job is beautiful, Jason's guarantee on the workmanship gives us peace of mind, and the price was fair. Highly recommended.

Contacted Xterior Solutions regarding a roof damage from past winter storm. Scheduling was a breeze, representative came out to the location, provided exact estimates after a through inspection and analysis. I previous had 2 other inspectors that came out to look at the roof, and they didn't even find half of the issue that needed to be corrected, and quoted a much higher price. The repair was done very promptly, extremely well, and with meticulous detail. Work was warrantied, and will definitely be using them again in the future if anything ever happens to the roof again.
