Mark was fantastic!! Responded quickly for a same day fix, did excellent work repairing our door, and very fair pricing! Would highly recommend for home repairs and will be happily using his expertise again!

Working with Mark has been absolutely terrific start to finish. A perfectionist and really an artist in wood, every single part of this job to the smallest detail was done with exquisite care. Also, Mark is an extraordinarily articulate person and explains every detail and every decision to make as he proceeds. We replaced old and cheap molding with beautiful architectural molding and trim and it is not an exaggeration to say that he transformed the look of the house with his work. Knowledgeable, exacting, extremely skilled, a pleasure to have in the house working, very highly recommended.

One of the problems with reviews is that I'm far more likely to do it when I'm unhappy. However, in this case, Mark did such a terrific job from start to finish, that I feel anything I write will be inadequate in explaining how pleased I am with the work he did. The job involved extensive repair due to carpenter bees and woodpeckers. He thoroughly examined the home, explained the process, detailed the work to be done, outlined his expectations, and kept me informed the entire way through. He even came in UNDER budget! If you have work to be done, I highly recommend Hudson Vally Woodworks. I should also note, Mark took pandemic concerns about COVID infection very seriously - always adhering to protocols. As healthcare workers, we appreciated this greatly.

Mark the owner has a lot of knowledge it all what has to be done in the job that they are doing. They are very through, competent,and precise at what they are doing for you. They are punctual, honest and reliable too. And very good at what they need to do for your job. Reasonable rates too.

Very conscientious about his work, he cleaned up the entire work area, he was prompt and returned my calls, the price was reasonable, and the work was done precisely.

Quality of work was excellent. Matched trim for a 1941 house. The trim is beautiful and installed perfectly. He redid a wall that was done incorrectly by another contractor. The wall is smooth, straight and plumb. Also repaired ceilings in both the kitchen and the living room. Both were done so well you would not know there had been a problem. My husband and I both recommend him. He came on time, gave us an estimate, completed the work in a timely manner and was very pleasant and easy to work with. Will hire him again any time we need work done.

Mark and Dave did repairs on my screened in porch and did an excellent job. Mark came right away and gave me an estimate within 24 hours. Mark and Dave always showed up on time and were very nice and also offering ideas and advice.

Mark came right on time and was able to repair an entry door that we thought had to be replaced. His knowledge and expertise saved us quite a bit of money and his mannerism was quite professional and at the same time friendly. I hired Mark to do some carpentry and tile work in my parent's home in Hyde Park, as part of a gift. He was great in every respect - attentive to my parents, respectful of their home, willing to explain options and answer concerns, extremely responsive, and he delivered a tremendously high quality of work at an extremely reasonable price, when it was all over. Mark called us back almost immediately when we put our work request on line. He was professional and courteous, and we had an estimate for the work within a day. He replaced two outside storm doors for us. We did have to wait for one special order door but once it arrived Mark picked up both doors at the store as part of the project and had them installed as soon as weather permitted. We now have a couple other projects pending with him and would certainly recommend his work to anyone. He is very specific about why and how things should be done to obtain the best results and his years of experience back him up.
