+ -1 moreI would give Bill an A++++++ if that was an option!! The short story... in spite of the broken part having been discontinued by the manufacturer, our oven is working again like new. We philosophically prefer to repair than to replace things, and Bill was fantastic. He warned us that he may not be able to fix our oven, given the unavailable part, but he was game to try - and try he did! He sent off the broken clock (command center of the oven) to a circuit repair company he had used before to see if they could fix it. It came back the first time and didn't fix the problem... but Bill didn't give up! He got their technician on the phone and finally got them to agree to take a second look, which they did - and lo and behold, they had missed the problem the first time and it came back fixed on the second try. Hooray!!! Without Bill's perseverance, we would have ended up replacing our oven. We couldn't be happier.
Description of Work: We asked Bill to look at our 11 year old oven, which had stopped heating completely.

Description of Work: Bill showed up as scheduled , went right to work and showed me the problem with my refrigerator door. After about 20 minutes he found the defect was greater problem then either of us expected, but instead of being stuck with an extremely expensive manufactures replacement, he came up with a $10.00 work around solution that is doing fine! It's sometimes hard to find an honest, fair valued repairman, but I have definitely found one in Bill. I will be happy to use his service again in the future as the need arises. Great job, very fair price, very satisfied with the work .

Description of Work: I called Bill and left a message. He called back within 90 minutes. He described the solution to my problem and said "he could come but he thought I fix the problem myself." He was correct. He knew exactly what to do and he walked me thru every step. My freezer drain hose, that was causing my refrigerator to get water in the produce drawers is FIXED! Thanks Bill!

+ -1 moreHe was very good. He came in and tried to fix it and when he could not fix it, he recommended exactly what we should replace it with. We took the old one out and replaced it with the one we got. We saved a lot of money by replacing it- repairing it would have cost a lot of money. He is very competent and has a lot of know how. In the past we have had him repair a washing machine and he did a very good job.

Description of Work: This guy knew his stuff. Turned out that my problem was not my electric stove but the plug/outlet connection that did not allow full electric current. My electrician fixed it and that was that.

+ -1 moreBill's son came to do the repair. was very knowledgeable and polite. He found that the tabs that hold the tub up had bent under the weight of the water and clothes while doing a load at the maximum load setting. The frame was not strong enough to hold a maximum load that it should have been able to handle. Instead of ordering and charging me for a new,expensive, tub holder, he simply bent the tabs back into place, and told me not to use the maximum load setting any more because most washers can't handle the weight. He charged me only for the house call and saved me hundreds of dollars.
Description of Work: repaired clothes washer. Tub was hitting the bottom of the cabinet while spinning to empty water.

Washer valve replaced. Personable and professional, showed up at the appointed time, calling before he arrived. Not knowing what a service charge costs, I paid the fee, plus an additional $5.00 charge due to distance to my home. Would call him again.

I called for my tenant and Bill came out within a few days which was good based on the 14 inches of snow we were having with back to back storms and everyone else was shut down. He appeared as promised within the designated time period and worked h****** the Maytag washing machine and was able to repair by unclogging the pump and without the need for replacement parts. Afterwards it was easy to arrange payment and conclude the transaction. Bill is service oriented, concerned, easy to talk to, personable, honest by doing only what was needed, and competent. I would use his again.

+ -1 moreThe Whirlpool washer wouldn't start when the on-button was pressed and so it immediately turned off. Using the manual I tried to troubleshoot the problem but couldn't resolve anything. Made an appointment with Bill's Appliance Repair and he was able to send someone within the week. The repairman reset the code and temperature sensor and there have been no problems since he was here. I was very pleased with the rapid results and would use Bill's repair at any time in the future.
Description of Work: The repairman was prompt to our appointment, was professional, was quite knowledgeable and repaired my Whirlpool washing machine that had an electronic issue.

Description of Work: Bill's was recommended by an employee of a small local home improvement center as "the best" and they were so right. I had a complicated problem with an 8 year old kitchen Aid, higher end stainless stove and were not inclined to replace it, unless absolutely necessary, as we'd paid quite a bit at the time and it remains "high end" in appearance and function. Despite our thoughts that it was the electronic control panel, he was undeterred to find the actual problem (this happened 4 years previously). He squeezed me in on the day I called to set up an appointment, as he was in our area. He worked very hard at determining the problem and within the hour had located the issue - the thermostat. The part was inexpensive and the labor was more than fair. He's quick, efficient and professional. We had planned to pay much more. I think a less experienced repair person would have taken longer and changed more. I believe he's been in business for 25 years. His assistant is his adult son. Extraordinarily pleased!!
