Suffolk Systems provided a great experience throughout the entire process of estimating and installing our new central air conditioning system. Our 24 year old system 'gave up the ghost' just before the worst heatwave in the Northeast in recent memory. We called Suffolk Systems and were cheerfully greeted by Lorie who was very knowledgeable about air conditioning systems and arranged to have Dan visit our home to 'access the damage' and provide us with an estimate to replace our old system. Dan was prompt, courteous, and informative. After reviewing estimates from several companies, we decided to hire Suffolk Services to do the job. Dan and his crew showed up promptly at 8am to change out the old system on one of the hottest days of the week! They installed and tested the system and hauled away the old equipment. Lorie then completed all paperwork for us and submitted the necessary documents to the utility company for the available rebates, as well as the warranty paperwork. All we had to do was set the thermostat and enjoy the new system! Thank you Lorie, Dan, and company for a great experience!

iThe job was done. I'll see next year if the repair was good. The price was way over the expectation. The technician tried to charge not only for the work done but for the travel also, which I was told over the phone that is not supposed to be charged if there is any work done. An year ago I had the same thing done by an other company for about $200.

I can't say enough great things about this company. From the first phone calls with Lori to the completion of the installation with the talented tech whose name escapes me right now, everything was handled professionally and conscientiously. The story is too long, so i'll just say that Our problem was diagnosed four days before our warrantee was up. The manufacturer was giving Lori trouble about replacing it under the warrantee ( they no longer use the manufacturer), and Lori got them to cover it. A $3,000 job turned out to be $650 as the labor and refrigerant as well as a couple of other items are not covered. The house temp is beautiful once again. Thanks again, Suffolk Systems!

Bob came over promptly in late septem for an estimate. He was fine with me not getting work done until I had electric service upgrade and vinyl siding complete. Their price was in line with other estimates I got. I was implressed with his professionalism, and decided to go with them. They were able to schedudule the detailed survey and insallation around my schedule. The crew showed up on time and completed in 1 and 1/2 days. Very neat installation.

I would like to thank everyone at Suffolk Systems for the outstanding, professional job they did on my new AC and Heating System. I want to let everyone know how great Lori, Danny, and Tim were. I would highly recommend them to all.

They did e everything right

They were courteous and punctual, and spent a good amount of time at the house taking measurements. In the end however, it took them a very long time to make an actual recommendation for a heating solution, and the cooing solution was over complicated.

Bob came & gave a complete evaluation ,measuring all rooms & outside too,then gave me a price. $7,700,complete,with a then $700.00 rebaye from LIPA,A $300 savings from Angie's list too,6 Months interest free loan. Bottom line the cost was $7,000.00. They came to install when they said & finished up when they said in 7 hours,cleaned up as if they were never here. They turned on the system & we enjoyed the cool fresh air conditioning as it was supposed to be. I'm only sorry that I didn't post this earlier.

THE SERVICE MAN WAS PROMPT, EFFICENT AND CONSIDERATE

They're using good products, and they explained to me everything in detail. That was very nice of him, he banged out everything he is going to do, he was excellent.

First of all, the sales person that first responded (Robert D) was very good at examining my unique home. I did not feel rushed and he gave me the pros and cons of each option that he came up with. The 2 workers that came and installed the system were great. It could not have been a hotter day and they could not have been more professional or clean. Everything ran very smoothly.

How did it happen ? My elderly parents inadvertently melted the tray when they blocked off the air intake for the furnace and the unit overheated, roasting the plastic tray on top of it. The heat and AC both still worked fine... it just leaked water from the tray when the AC ran. My parents called two service companies and both claimed the units were shot and to get a new one... these other companies charged hundreds of dollars to "inspect" the unit and actually did about nothing more than pull a cover off. With Suffolk Systems it was VERY DIFFERENT. The first tech disassembled the furnace and evaporator covers... took a really good look at what was going on. It was very impressive and I hired them on the spot. You could tell he cared about his work and liked to do the troubleshooting and problem solving that comes with being a technician. After the part was ordered, the two techs that came to do the repair came in and got right down to business. The repair work was done right, the guys were extremely competent and the price was very fair. I haven't ever seen a proper HVAC technician in my life until these guys came by. Can't say enough good things.

One of our ac units was not working. I called and got an appointment the same day (it was a very hot day!) . The technician showed up on time, assessed the situation, gave me an initial price for the part, and fixed the problem. When I saw the bill, the price of the part was less than what I was first quoted. The technician was professional and knowledgeable. I will surely use this company again!

It went very well. We were able to get an appointment the next day; the technican showed up on time. We were very relieved to get our air conditioner water dripping fixed as water was flowing from the drain pipe and we were worried about the over flow pan overflowing in our attic and on the ceiling. It was a big relief that the technician from Suffolk Systems was able to fix the problem so quickly. Putting in the safety switch eased our worry about future problems.

They replaced three condensing units with matching variable air speeds and two air handlers evaporates. The total amount was $ 11000. They work amazing. They waited until we completely pay for them. They gave us the paper work in the month of November. They really went above and beyond. I cannot stop saying good things about them. They cleaned up well at the end of their job and we can never make out if they were ever here. I will recommend them to others too.

After reading the reviews on Angies List, I thought can anybody really be this good? Yes they can. The entire team on the job, up to four people during the day, was curteous, professional, and knew their jobs. Even though they were replacing an existing system, a complete survey was done to properly size the new equipment. The work performed was neat, and of high quality with attention to detail. They definitely take pride in their work. The temps for the past two days have been in the mid 90s and the system has performed beautifully. The cost above is my out-of-pocket cost after applicable manufacturer and utility rebates. Suffolk Systems took care of all the paper work. If your looking to have a/c work done, you should put Suffolk Systems on your call list.

Installed 90% of new a/c system in early winter and completed the start up process in April. Very clean and professional. A couple of minor issues but they were of no major consequence,

Prior to meeting with the sales rep from Suffolk Systems, I received 6 other estimates, most of which were either conflicting or not close to each other in scope or system. In our initial meeting with Suffolk Systems their sales rep measured my house and explained all the different options available to me. My quote for the work was received two days after our initial meeting as promised. I had several questions about the job, configuration etc before finally deciding to go with Suffolk Systems and every email I sent was responded to promptly with a full explanation. When we agreed to have Suffolk Systems do the work, they arrived as scheduled with their crew and put drop cloths down through my house. Their work was impeccable, the crew was polite and friendly and I am extremely satisfied with the work they did. I will have them back to replace my hot water heater in the future. If you are looking for an HVAC contractor, I highly recommend Suffolk Systems, you will not be disappointed. I met with quite a few contractors before selecting Suffolk Systems and anywhere you read on the web about getting a new Central AC system installed, the most important factor about the job is selecting the right contractor. One last point to note, the total cost of the job was $9,400 before the American Standard rebate, Angies List discount, LIPA and federal rebates. Once the rebates are received, the actual cost of the job is $7,900. Suffolk Systems also completed the LIPA rebate paperwork for me.

Excellent service from start to finish: I was greeted by a friendly receptionist who made it possible that a serviceman could come the very same day. He was professional, punctual, and gave me good advice and service. He followed another service which told me that I had a "major leak" in the AC, a "clogged, rusted out coil" and that the repair would take severla days and way over $1,000.00. The Suffolk System gentleman inspected the air filter which was the wrong type and size which caused the whole problem of reduced airflow and too little cooling. I am glad I had an honest professional after the bad experience with the crook before him!

On the phone they were friendly, professional and knowledgeable. However, they say that they service Nassau County, but do not service all areas of Nassau County. They should update Angie's List to include only the towns that they provide services in. Relying on their statement that they provide services in Nassau County, I spent about 30 minutes researching the company (largely all positive) before calling to find out that they will not provide services in my area.

I can't say enough positive about Suffolk systems. Mom is elderly, disabled and homebound and lives in an old, large house far from family. We were quoted by another company with a cost of $17,000 to replace the Aircon units in Moms house and told there was no repair possible. I called Suffolk Systems and spoke with Diane (the office manager) and Laurie (the owners wife) and explained our situation and that we wanted the units repaired, not replaced. They were very helpful and accommodating with a difficult situation. I felt confident enough to trust them with setting a price limit for the repair in advance and giving them my credit card number because no family member was able to be present during the repair. The repairman who came was very skillful and was able to repair the system for $570, well under the limit I had set. Mom is very pleased with the results. Thank you, Suffolk Systems. I can understand why you have been in business for 30 years and appreciate your skillful work and your understanding.

They suggested when they system was put in the house. They have not been to see attic. They gave us an estimate and came the following week. They took care of that as well. They are several things I liked about them. They were very prompt on the phone, very helpful about getting things and taking care of. The person I spoke with, setup the appointment was great. She got things setup really quickly for me because I had some issues with getting hot. The technician who care and I believe his name was Dane. I liked him quite a lot. He was just very efficient, came in and took care of things. He was very congenial. I thought he did a great job. They were excellent. I'm going to have them continue to take care of the air conditioning system. I'm going to have them come out in another month or so, check it before season starts. Their price was fair. They were reasonably priced. I didn't look for other estimates because I like the technician there. They were very responsive and very quick to get here. They came when they said they were going to. They called ahead of time and were very good. Their technician was exception. He knew what he was doing and was exceptional.

I have been dealing with Suffolk Systems for several years and have nothing but the best things to say about them. Everyone, beginning with Lori who is usually the first contact to Dan who has been to my home to service my systems. I have always found them very, very knowledgeable and extremely helpful. I feel very confident when I call them. I know they are going to call me back right away, schedule me as soon as necessary, follow-up any additional information I might need and they will give me an honest diagnosis at a fair price.

After researching several companies and getting estimates we decided to go with Suffolk Systems to install a two zone HVAC system in our home. We will never regret that decision. This company truly far exceeds the definition of "quality workmanship". They were always willing to explain all work and answer any questions we had. All the men involved in the installation were extremely courteous and very respectful of our home. This is an A-1 company!!
