The job went smoothly and was completed in 1 day. Mike's crew was very professional and works very clean. There was absolutely no damage to the home even though they had to install the air handler in the attic and had to go through the return duct opening in the upstairs hallway - tough to do. In addition Mike is very knowledgable about the equipment he installs and seems only interested in installing equipment from MFG's he trusts and that produce quality equipment. Great company, great team and excellent leadership.

My husband was more confident in the brand that the other company was going to put in. Their price was in the middle, not the highest or lowest. They were professional and fine and sat and talked with us, we just wanted a specific brand.

From the initial estimate and explanation of the job through its completion, Michael and his team did a professional job for my parents in their home.

I called the company because of the leaks and I got a response right away. They were on time and did a great job which was completed within (1) hour. The gentleman explained to my husband how to maintain the system throughout the summer season. My central air system was clogged with sand and dirt due to recent home improvement which should have been taken care of. I will use Suffolk Systems every year for my maintenance. We thank you so much.

For context, my air conditioner had been working for several months and had stopped blowing air into the house. We are about to undergo construction and replace the existing AC system (which I explained to the operator) so deciding what to do in this situation was not easy. My initial experience was good, the technician came several hours after my call and quickly diagnosed the problem. I was told that it was a pretty big issue (broken fan motor) and that I would receive an estimate the following day. When I received the estimate (~$700), it seemed on the high-side and given the temporary lifetime of the old AC I said "no thanks". After two minutes of pondering sweltering nights without AC I called back and said "ok". Twelve minutes (and one conversation with my wife) later I called back and said "thanks, but I can't expend that amount on a temporary system" and encountered a fair amount of pressure to go ahead anyway ("the parts are already purchased", "we'll credit it toward a new system") which I eventually resolved by offering to compensate the technician for his effort. The operator said they would call back, and soon after I got the call that I owed $209.65. I'm not sure what the math is that converts 20 minutes of their diagnosis and 15 minutes of my indecision into $209, but it seems to heavily favor Suffolk Systems rather than their customer. As a customer who is going to need to replace the entire system before the fall, it also seems like a bad business decision. So, in total the outcome of my calling Suffolk is that my house is no cooler and I paid $200 to learn why. I would be unlikely to turn to them again.

I originally called them in for a estimate on an extension of some heating ducts into another room. While the guy was here he observed that my water heater needed attention and I told him to go ahead. He replaced the water heater and I am very pleased with the work. He was very prompt and did the work in a day or two. I was going to go with another co to purchase a water heater and then I met this guy. I told him I thought I knew what I wanted and he said no problem. He went purchased it and only charged me what they charged him plus he installed it. I was very impressed. He was very honest and did a very neat job. His price was reasonable and competitive. I would rate him highly.

I interview 3 providers. He did have the middle range on the quote, and he explained everything thoroughly, how and what they were going to do. He also recommended an electrician and helped coordinate the time the electrician would be there. They put surgical wraps on their feet to protect my home. Everything worked like clockwork! They also trained me on the system, and I couldn't have asked for better service. There is a genius in Mike, which I really appreciated as I was deciding which system to go with. I was able to get some first hand knowledge and experience from him.

Michael's name was given to us by the manufacturer of the quality system we wanted. We checked him out with the bbb.org before we even had him in and there were no complaints. Good start. We were impressed by his professional, respectful, and friendly demeanor upon meeting him. His knowledge of his field was evident compared to the other companies we had over for estimates. We then called three recommendations his office assistant provided us for jobs done recently, two years ago, and seven years ago (wanted to know if they were still happy). All of the people were extremely happy and their opinions turned out to be accurate. He further impressed us with a detailed engineering schematic of the house when we met with him again for his proposal. We hadn't realized he's an engineer and the plan was free of charge. We requested that he figure out a couple of alternative plans because of our small budget. We have a farm ranch with an added sunroom and a large bedroom not connected to any attic space. Michael found a way to central air condition so that even the two rooms that we weren't ready to AC yet (we have a good wall AC in the sunroom), might actually benefit from the central AC from the other spaces! When I asked what would happen if they run into any problems in terms of the price, he said the price was firm, and that if anything, he gives more not less. He kept to his word and we actually have more than we ever hoped for. Michael has had thirty years in the business and it is family owned. The crew was excellent. They were so professional and courteous! They also showed up when they said they would, took care not to hurt our plants when working outside, and cleaned up beautifully. In fact, they cleaned up after the first day as if they weren't coming back! They even took their garbage with them! Michael came in a few times to see how it was going and stayed for awhile. He was also in touch with the crew by cell during the day. No social calls were taken. You will not go wrong with this company. We are not friends or family members of anyone at Suffolk Systems.
