S T Hudson's Son

My parents were customers of this company and they list 24 hour emergency service for established customers. So, when we woke up to a sewage back up in our basement on a Saturday morning, we called S T Hudson as my parents recommended them. The woman was rude and completed unhelpful. She told me that we have no established and quot;creditand quot; and if she was to send a technician out, she wasn't sure one would even come because we don't have an account with them. She went on to say that she expected we pay cash at a rate of $295 an hour! Lady Rooter in Hudson came, 45 minutes after we called and fixed the problem in 20 minutes. No one at Lady Rooter made me feel unwanted as a customer. In case your wondering, we have excellent credit.

I called to set up an estimate visit and was told that there are no free estimates unless you're having a heating system or a/c system installed. We have a LOT of plumbing repairs needed on our new house. Their loss. Not professional and not business savvy in my opinion. I guess they don't really need customers. To each his own!

It went very well. Their plumber Tom was right on time and did the installation quite professionally. Tom also repaired my shower drain which was leaking slightly.

I thought the price was fair and the work went great. They were very friendly and they're up to date on technology. They were able to do the work without shutting the water off completely. I think they're a good value for the price.
