Darlcom did outstanding work to remove and replace a bathroom floor that was rotted because of a slow leak in the plumbing. They worked quickly and efficiently. I am totally pleased with their work, with what I thought would be a very difficult project. But they knew exactly what to do. I recommend this company highly.

Hired these guys from a friend s recommendation. They improved on a botched paint job I got months prior and then fixed my deck at such a great price, didn t think I d ever get that thing fixed. Excellent work on both jobs and I was very impressed with the crew, punctual and courteous. Will definitely hire them again and can t recommend enough!

Our kitchen floor had serious water damage and the linoleum was peeling up. Darlcom, LLC came in a put down the new hardwood floor for us. Spectacular job, and amazing customer service. Will be calling them for any future projects we have!

My husband and I hired Darlcom, LLC Carpentry to remodeled our air BnB. Not only did they do a beautiful job, but I really appreciated the great communication we received as well. We had walls removed, new wood floors installed, and a farm sink with a butcher-block counter top put in. They even installed floating shelves. Keith and Steven Darling, and their workers did a truly amazing job, and I am thankful for all they did. These guys have my full recommendation to anyone who needs a well-rounded company!!

Everything started out good... but the crew was slow to get started on sanding. taking two seasons to finish, and making me wait far longer than promised to get it done. Some of that was due to lots of rain, but there was a three month delay this past Spring, and my home should have been prioritized since I started with them last Fall. Something must have changed with the work staff, because my experience is not like what has been included in other prior reviews. I hired them because of the reviews, even tho the price was higher than others. I figured, at least the quality would be excellent. But about the price... Sanding was overpriced, costing me nearly $4,000 for a home less than 2000 square feet. Another contractor said he would have estimated this fee to be half that much. The primer was applied hastily and with little attention to detail, as they claim in their add. There were sections not done, boards where the original wood was left exposed, and areas where the primer was so thin it left wipe marks, like it had been thinned to stretch. I was not left with any leftover primer to do any touch up, so this leaves me to believe they did not purchase the primer I asked for, and tried to hide the fact. Also, it is obvious the priming was done far too lightly with all of the areas of exposure left. I could see the underlying paint or wood in many areas. I have not heard from the owner about how to correct these flaws in workmanship, and no-one has offered to come out to do that, as they promise in their add. The father has neglected to call me back about my concerns and the son has suggested that I correct the errors myself with a $200 deduction. Ridiculous. Before I started the work with them, I got an original quote for the whole job, including all painting and priming of $8000, and then I asked for a quote for just the sanding and priming, and was given a quote of $4000. Because the job was not finished the Fall it was started, the remaining work to finish the sanding was set at an hourly rate. I was led to believe this would not be much, but the bill for that was another $2000! And still no primer had been applied. So I figured at least the priming job would be excellent, right? In the end, the $8000 I paid for the work only covered the sanding and a very thin coat of primer, which should have been close to the cost for the whole job, including final top coats. I even offered to do most of the trim myself. After seeing the workmanship on the primer, I refrained from having them do the final top coats for another $4000. ALSO, small structural repairs (railing on stairs) and face board for a small roof area, were not done, as contracted, not to mention areas that should have been sanded better before applying the primer. They are now starting to peel, another reason I know they rushed and may not have used the primer I ordered. This company does not stand by its word. Has not made any effort to return to make corrections. They will need to offer some substantial remedies to keep me from going to court for a refund. The only thing that would make things ok with me would be for the owner to return my calls, come out to inspect the poor workmanship, and by doing over areas that are poorly done, and perhaps even doing the top coats (for what I ended up paying!!) I was hopeful upon meeting Steven that the paint job would be done well, and that he would take good care of the things needing done. Once again, it is a case of a rush job, then splitting the scene, and hoping the customer will not make a stink. This time, because my expectations were so high (for the cost!) I am making a stink. I will be happy to turn this review around if someone from that company makes an effort to make things right with me. Do the job right and make some concessions and I will gladly eat MOST of my words.

I was very impressed with Darlcom when I hired them. The owner, Steven Darling, is diligent and honest. He gave me a very reasonable quote for the exterior painting of my house, performed beyond expectations, and his crew members were extremely polite and on time every day until the job was done. It was refreshing to meet a crew with such passion, and incredible work ethic, something rarely seen nowadays. I will be rehiring them for the interior of my house, along with many other projects to come.

Darlcom recently did a bang up job on my home in Copake NY I was pleased to find that they work all over the surrounding counties and do not mind a little travel. They have all the tools got the job and the expertise to use them. Their crew was pleasant and on time, and Keith was very helpful in giving us recommendations for complimentary paints. We also had a window sill replaced at the same time and it came out superb. 10/10 would hire again.

This company is great! They re always on time and ready to work. I m overall very pleased with their work and will definitely hire again if I need more painting done. Great group of workers with great personalities that know what they re doing!

these guys painted the exterior oglf my house. they were prompt and on time with everything. they were a pleasure to have around when I was there on the property. i have no complaints about their appearance or performance. i will hire them again if another project arises

Darlcom breached contract, failed to perform, walked off the job, did defective work, used different materials than promised, and misrepresented the work and their ability resulting in considerable damage. Steven Darling negotiated the an estimate of $7500 for paint job; two days later his father Keith showed up and added $5000 to the original estimate. Our painting contract specified in the contract that all wood be scraped, sanded and primed prior to applying 2 coats of paint. Darlcom failed to sand surfaces resulting in trim work having to be redone. Darlcom did not prime any wood, instead claimed the primer in the paint was enough. All carpentry repair is having to be redone as Darlcom failed to follow contract and use pressure treated wood. They continuously lied about it when asked about poor prep and appearance wood painting, Keith told us it would be 50% more money for them to sand the wood. Keith Darling repeatedly misrepresented the work and the materials used. Keith Darling reeked of booze, others on the crew were obviously high, and they walked off the job twice, whenever their work was questioned. They got advance 50% for painting work of which only a fraction has been done and that is subpar. Keith and his son Steven have been extremely aggressive bullying us to pay more upfront, without the quality work. Then billed me for wrong materials and deficient work that needs to be redone. These losers did not even scrape away old bees hives inside storm windows before slapping paint on. We are lucky to cut our losses.

True family business. Great team. Super respectful. Very solid job overall. Able to take direction. Great value and low stress for a big job.

Keith and his crew did an amazing job painting the exterior of our house. We also had them replace all the water damaged wood from our back porch and window wells. This was a large job and took them a while to complete, but so worth it. They have several excellent carpenters on staff who were able to recreate all the intricate details of our railings, posts, etc... At the end of each day, the workers cleaned, swept, and organized the materials. We are extremely happy with the quality of their work and will used them again in the future for all of our painting/ construction needs.

this is a family owned business. They are responsive --highly. They are meticulous about their work, and on time with projections. They are very pleasant, so very clean after their work is done. I cannot say enough good things about them. I would hire them again in a heartbeat

We met with Steven Darling and were immediately impressed with his knowledge plus customer care. He told us that he stood by his company's work. During the project we met three of his colleagues, all of whom were polite, cleaned up each day and did an outstanding job. We had a small touch up once the work was completed and they came back as promised.

Immediate response to bid request. I requested that the work be scheduled and completed quickly and they happily accommodated my request. They were on the job right at the scheduled time, completed the work quickly and did a great job. Excellent company to work with.
