They met all their commitments

They Company started the job on July 7th and still have not completed it. They were out two weeks ago and did some more work. They still have not finished the job. The owner said he was going to come out and talk to me and he never has. I want them to finish the job that they told me would be done in two weeks.

The job was fantastic from the very beginning contacting DM Contracting and Restoration, INC.. Danny is the contractor and Marie handles all the calls to set up appointments as well as many other tasks. They were both wonderful, professional and trustworthy throughout the entire project. Speaking to Marie on the phone was so pleasurable and very accommodating. Danny showed up at our door coming from Manhanttan with jobs and coming back to Queens to meet with us on time and then returning back into the city. We were very appreciative and he proved to us how dedicated he is to his profession. The workers were extremely neat, carried out the job to the very last detail and did a excellent work! The on time performance was amazing from the very beginning to the end. They supplied everything for the job and worked diligently, professionally and extremely humble. It was a fantastic experience and we were thrilled with the outcome!! We wish to thank you so much and will recommend your business to everyone!

We met with Danny in person twice over a several month time span, before signing a contract. He answered all of our questions and provided license information. When we were ready to start, they got us on the schedule quickly. Every day the workers came and respected our requests. Danny checked daily on their work to make sure all was as we asked. When I had questions (daily) he responded very quickly. This being our first major home improvement, I was very pleased and am planning on using them again.

Have nothing but good things to say about Danny (company owner) and his team. New to the remodeling business and basing my initial call on other Angie's List reviews, Danny was by far the most attentive, great attitude, and had the best estimate in Queens. His number hit exactly where my budget allotted thus making me feel very confident that my vision would be able to realize itself (and it did!). Our contract was for the main floor (kitchen and living room). The kitchen was completely torn down to the studs and anything that needed more repair than initially thought was done without a problem. The kitchen was ready to have cabinets/appliances installed in 2 weeks. When I threw in wanting to clean up my living room and foyer walls and ceilings vs. tearing down and putting up new walls, a smaller contract was quickly signed and Danny was able to squeeze in that work alongside the kitchen, timing worked out perfectly. Even after his work was done he still came by to make sure that everything was to our satisfaction and always complied to any last minute changes or concerns I might have had, never once did he make me feel like I was asking for too much which made the experience very comfortable! His workers were ALWAYS on time and not a minute late adding to the professionalism of the business Danny runs. I would recommend DM Contracting & Restoration Inc without hesitation and plan on using them for other jobs in my home.

Great! DM had some excellent ideas on how we could use the space in our basement more effectively. Danny gave an estimate that detailed what he would do and accomplished everything on the list for the estimated price. The work was started and completed as scheduled. Danny kept in touch with me throughout the project and left a spotless work area behind. Next time I have any similar work to do, I will definitely get back to DM.

I had an extremely positive experience with DM Contracting and Restoration. My basement was the original basement from a 100 year old house, with a few upgrades about 50 years ago. It was used only for storage. I now have a useable basement space which I can outfit for recreation and have some storage too. Danny was prompt in coming to the appointment to review the basement and his price was in the same ballpark as other bids I obtained. I chose DM based upon their experience and suggestions for a few difficult problems in the basement, plus their timetable to complete work was the fastest. The crew working on the job was very professional in every way. Danny stayed in touch the whole time, and always responded to any questions I had in a prompt manner. I always felt he was attentive to the status of the work. Good communication is a lost art these days, and Danny's responsiveness was very much appreciated during the job. I added a few extras as the job went along and Danny's prices were always very fair, and often small accomodations or changes were made without additional cost. In an old house there are always issue with plumbing, wiring and settling, and Danny knew how to solve all of these problems. Another thing I found added to the positive experience is that both Danny and Marie are extremely nice people, and someone I would want to do business with again. I would recommend DM Contracting and Restoration without reservation.

Because the weather was turning cold, we discussed our concerns, and Danny offered to give us back our deposit. He plans on calling me March first to continue the project. We are happy with his professionalism, and will definitely continue, in the spring.

It went great. Danny came by for an estimate, but given the scope of work I was later informed that it is not there precise area for their services, which I considered to be very professional. And the sincerity of their interaction when I called them again about another job was much appreciated. They again referred me to a more appropriate vendor, even though I was prepared to give them the business! Although I haven't actually engaged them in work thus far, I would highly recommend you at least consider their services. Although DM seems to be quite busy, when you do get in touch with them, they really try to help.

Everything went great. Danny and his crew were very professional, punctual, responsive and neat. They did everything according to plan and to our specifications. They arrived daily by 8:00am and work began by 8:03am. They worked everyday, all day long. Mr. Carr was on site daily and routinely to inspect progress and to obtain feedback from us. They did a great job and I would highly recommend them for all types of jobs. My wife and I are very pleased with our newly finished basement.

Our garage looks brand new. A beautiful new roof was added and the cracked cement block walls are looking better than ever. There is much happiness here. All work and timing went smoothly. Thank you Danny and crew. You do excellent work and couldn't be easier to work with.

Danny was such a delight. First off, communication is extermely important to me. I have never worked with a contractor that was as responsive as Danny. I never had any issues reaching Danny. If he was busy, he always call me back once he was free. Remember all those times you couldn't find your contractor? That never happened to me with Danny. Now on to the work. Danny met with me in the apartment and gave me an estimate in a day or so, as he promised. It was reasonable and we selected him to be our contractor. He was always available to provide suggestions. I ordered the hardwood floors and he picked it up for me from Lumber Liquidators. He did the all the work he promised in the timeframe he promised and within budget. The quality of the work was great. His team was very professional and he managed them well. We had some slight modifications to the work being done (based on changes requested by me). For the modifications that slightly lessen his work, he actually deducted it off from the contract without me asking him to. That is honesty. Without a doubt I will work with him again. I actually have some additional work for him to do after i get the permits, and there is no thoughts of changing to another contractor.

My wife and I are extremely happy with the results and are amazed everyday driving up to our home. the work was done without complications, was not rush in anyway and Danny and his men were polite, friendly, professional, very trust worthy and we will recommend him to anyone who needs this kind of work done. Even after we made our final payment he returned to do the final detailed touches to our paving stone yard by pouring the fine sand between the stones, on two separate occasions. I think this type of commitment to a job shows the character of Danny and DM contracting. At every step along the way we were informed about the progress of the work and always felt included. We are extremely happy with the results and with Danny.

Jobs like this only happen in a utopian society. What do I mean by that? Let me start with the owner Dan Carr. He is a consummate professional. He knows what he is doing. He is also a good listener. If I called Dan a hundred times, he responded as though I called him once. People need to explain, IN DETAIL, exactly what they want and what they expect. I let Dan know right up front what I wanted and what I expected. I got both from him. My home (basement) was completed flooded (8 feet of water) from Hurricane Sandy. I needed much of the wood framing replaced, the staircase replaced, new drywall floor to ceiling, insulation 6 new doors, molding, and some tile work. I also need new piping, radiators and the laundry room ductwork which my heating guy did. Dan started on a Monday...the same day as my plumber, the staircase company, and the electrician. You never saw such harmony among 7 guys at once! I was IMPRESSED and quite relieved. It also helped for me to be there. The job was completed in 8 working days...8 STRAIGHT working days! That's right. They didn't work 3 days than come back the next week and work for 2 more days than come back a week later for 2 more days. They literally worked for 8 straight days. After each day, Dan and I would go over the work completed and discuss the next day's work detail, making small changes along the way. Everything fell into place when all was done. The only work left was painting, finishing the staircase and installing the hardware. I did this work myself because I am EXTREMELY picky and wanted to feel like I accomplished the final phase of the project. All in all, Dan and his crew did a great job! I plan on using him again for other work I need. Dan is a someone I trust. BTW- I gave Dan the key to my house (access to the basement via outside access). I had tools and supplies on a cart while they were working. NOT ONE SCREW WENT MISSING. Everything was in the same place I left it. Again, consummate Professional.

First,I need to give a huge "thank you"to Angie's List for enabling us to contact the necessary contractors .My parents needed their 2nd floor cement terrace "fixed"and we needed to be put in touch with masons in their area(Queens,NY),but were at a disadvantage because we live an hour north of the city.A good friend recommended Angie's List and so I joined and immediately had a list of masons! All were A+rated ! I then made appointments with 16 available contractors in the Queens/Brooklyn area and arranged for them to survey the project with my dad and submit estimates to us. We narrowed it down to 2 contractors and DM Contracting and Restoration was hired to do the job on the basis of their utmost professionalism and expertise. My dad built this terrace 40+years ago and was familiar with the materials used at that time,however materials have changed as have techniques. But Dan Carr explained everything to my dad..each step,answered every question,clearly and patiently not only to him but contacting me with what exactly needed to be done. This was exactly the type of contractor we all had been looking for..someone who knows the job that needs to be done right,not a "touch up or a band aid" type of repair..this was an actual restoration of the terrace. His crew are exceptionally talented and dedicated workers and if I needed to contact Dan he was always available as was his wife Marie.Both my parents are extremely happy with the finished project..as are we.Thank You Dan,Marie and the crew of DM Contracting and Restoration!!!! We would definitely use their services again ,without hesitation!

They came out and gave us a good competitive fee but we didn't go with them, we ended up with another contractor. They were many contractors on the list, they came out and gave us a real comprehensive quote, i showed them a small schedule and what i wanted to be done in my backyard. The told me that they could do they work and gave me a really nice overview of what it would cost, they were definitely competitive with the other bidders that we went with. We went with one that we thought would accommodate what we wanted. We wanted more entertainment space in the backyard.

Very reliable, he showed up even in a snowstorm. he even cleaned up afterward. the wall ceiling and trim are better than new.

Danny was very professional and I got the impression with his skill. Unfortunately the price I was quoted was twice what I received from another contractor. If money were not an issue, I would be happy to work with DM.

Danny the owner of DM Contracting was very easy to work with and answered all my questions about the job. He and his crew showed up every day of the job, on time and kept a clean work site which I appreciated as it made living with construction much easier to deal with. The men working at my house were very quiet and respectful also very important when you have people working in your house. The old sheetrock on my first floor was removed and new insulation and sheetrock was installed along with tape and compound. While inside was being done another crew removed an old wooden deck at the back of my house and installed a paver deck on a concrete pad with paver steps coming from my house. I was very happy with both parts of the job even though the outside patio took longer then I would have liked due to weather related work stoppages. I will defiantly call DM Contracting & Restoration again for any future projects I have.

The job is beautiful. The workmanship provided was outstanding. The owner and workers of the company are an absolute pleasure to deal with, making sure customer is completely satisifed. The price was reasonable compared to other contracters I had contacted. Upon completion of the job the clean-up and removal from jobsite was spotless. I would highly recommend this contractor and use them in the future!!!

THE OWNER CAME TO THE HOUSE AND WE DISCUSSED THE JOB. THEN GAVE ME A START DATE AND THAT DAY SIX MEN WERE AT MY HOUSE AT 8 AM. AT NOON A TRUCK SHOWED UP WITH ALL THE PAVERS. AT 12:30 A DUMPSTER SHOWED UP. ALL MORNING LONG HIS MEN CHOPPED UP ALL THE OLD CONCRETE IN THE BACK YARD AND THE FRONT OF THE HOUSE THAT WAS THE END OF DAY ONE. DAY TWO THE MEN SHOWED UP AT 8AM AGAIN FINISHING THE OLD DISPOSING OF THE OLD CONCRETE WHILE OTHER MEN STARTED PREPARING FOR THE NEW CONCRETE TO B.E POURED. THAT AFTERNOON THE CONCRETE WAS POURED. DAY 3.4.5. AND 6 PAVERS WERE LAID BY THE MEN. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY THEY WERE NEAT AND CLEAN AND PROFESSIONAL AND THEY CLEANED THEIR MESS.THIS CONTRACTOR WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND MY EXPECTATION

The owner, Danny Carr, oversaw and managed the whole project. In the initial planning stage, Danny provided many useful suggestions for the remodeling of our basement. His expertise and experience was very apparent during the whole project. It was evident that he completed similar jobs many times. His team consisted of dedicated, talented, skilled, and hard working individuals. They were punctual, friendly, and always cleaned up at the end of the day. Danny supervised the project consistently, purchased all materials, and checked on the progress many times each day. Whenever we needed to speak to Danny, he would respond quickly. The taping and spackling of the sheetrocking was extraordinary. The walls look beautifully straight and smooth. Not a line or bump is visible. The painting of the walls and bathroom is excellent. The entire basement floor was tiled. This was done withing three days. We needed the basement finished by a certain date. Danny had his men work longer hours and made sure the job was completed on time. Danny Carr goes over and beyond to make sure you are satisfied with all the work which is needed and requested. As the job progressed, additional requests arose. Danny adjusted the scheduling and added manpower to complete these tasks. We highly recommend using DM Contracting and Restoration for any projects small or large.
