New Angle Construction

Much like the last reviewer these comments are not based on their work but their professionalism. We first met with Anthony in August to discuss a basement renovation and had a great meeting. Elizabeth was wonderful over the phone and we received their estimate in a timely manner. We took a few weeks to rethink our renovation and brought in an engineer to give us a structural analysis which resulted in a slightly increased scope of work. Anthony came out again and sat with us patiently looking at our drawings and engineering documents. We received a new estimate for the increased scope and an expected start date of October 7 and chose to move forward. We are expecting a baby this week (Nov 15) and had intentions of having this project complete before her arrival. Communication became spotty as we awaited a contract but Elizabeth finally did get back to us early October with news that the engineering solution needed to be revised. We re-engaged the engineer and had an alternate solution and drawings ready to go October 9. Again, some spotty communication but Elizabeth did finally get back to us and expressed that she would do everything in her power to get the project going as time was getting tight. After multiple requests we received our first contract October 15 and generally accepted it but asked for written corrections and clarifications on items they were supplying and items we were supplying. We spoke with Elizabeth on the phone the next day and she said that she had all the documents together and were submitting to the town permitting department the next day, October 17. It is now November 11, after multiple emails and phone calls to confirm the documents were handed in and to ask the status of the contract, we have had zero communication from this company. We are baffled by their total lack of response as we have both put quite a bit of time and energy into this project. We genuinely hope they are OK but remain very frustrated as we have no finished basement and a garage too full of materials we purchased to house our car this winter. We were really looking forward to working with New Angle and have multiple projects in our future. As small business owners we value communication with our clients and are deeply disappointed.

I would love to leave a review for a outstanding job because I feel that Anthony would have done that after reading all the great reviews for him. Unfortunately, I have been unable to get in touch with the company. Anthony came out for an estimate on August 7 and was told I would have a written proposal on the 9th or 10th. On the 13th, I emailed Elizabeth asking for the proposal. She apologized and sent it on the 15th. I emailed her on the 20th, accepting the proposal and had a few questions which we had a few back/forth emails and a phone call. She was very nice and professional and I felt like this was definitely the company I wanted to deal with. After waiting for three weeks for the written contact I emailed her again (9/8) asking for the contract. She responded right away, again apologizing and said I would have it by the 9th. On the 13th, I emailed again asking for the contract. She apologized again and sent me contract on the 14th. I emailed her asking about the starting date and she said she would check with Anthony and get back to me. I hadn't heard back from her by the time we left for vacation and emailed her when we got back on the 28th, To date I have not heard back from her. The job was supposed to start on the Oct. 10th. I didn't want to leave a rating but had to in order to post this review. I am going to leave a rating in the middle. Note that this is not a reflection on Anthony's work which from pictures I've seen and other ratings I read, looks like it is excellent work. This review only reflects my frustration with the issues of getting a signed contract. I put no in the hire again since I could not leave blank but I did have plans to have him do other work in my home.

This is a Amador again. The original review was not accurate, I need to provide the following clarification. Elizabeth has a valid point, I was wrong. I have recall that the valve was replaced directly by Mick, the plumber of New Angle Construction was using for the plumbing part of the basement job. I did not know that he was a sub contractor at that time and I have some recollection of me paying in cash directly to Mick, approximately $300 but never got a receipt for the replacement of the valve. My mistake. Mick was the plumber that New Angle Construction brought in to do the plumbing work on the basement specified on the quotes, and that Anthony recommended to replaced the valve related to the water meter. (Not included on the quote) What I was not aware of was that, Mick did not know that he needed to be licensed and registered in the town of Poughkeepsie and that a permit was required, that the town had to send someone to shut of the water coming into the house at the curb box valve. At the end, on paper New Angle Construction did not replaced the valve, they just brought in the wrong plumber for the job, said that, Anthony as the constructor should know better when hiring and recommending someone. My recommendation is to get proof that the contractor and his sub contractors has a licenses required, that all permits are requested (Electrical, plumbing, etc.) and to have all the miscellaneous works that are done outside the contract included on it and get the receipt for any payment made. Besides the above problem (mix job cost me $3222.00) but the basement became very good.

Anthony, Elizabeth, and crew were a pleasure to work with. Anthony did beautiful work on our new kitchen and foyer floors and he completed the work even faster than I had expected. Anthony gave us great advice on how to plan projects, and was very flexible with our schedule when some of our ordered materials were delayed by the manufacturer. Communication was always prompt and clear, and pricing was super reasonable, especially considering how great the quality of work was. We would definitely hire again!

Anthony was great, the work was meticulously completed within the agreed timeline. He replaced an in-the-wall air conditioner with a window and replaced the sheet rock around it. Taped, spackled and primed all as agreed. He left my house cleaner than when he arrived! Anthony was professional and easy going at the same time, he handled everything with a smile.

Had Anthony do my tile on a new construction home. Had to pull the whole floor up in master bath and shower. Work and attitude were equally as bad

Anthony and the New Angle Construction team we’re amazing. Everything was done on schedule AND on budget. All team members were polite and professional. The site was cleaned up every day before leaving. Anthony’s constant monitoring of the project kept things moving and his hands on expertise and attention to detail were impressive. We would definitely recommend New Angle for any remodeling/construction needs.

Always punctual and willing to answer any questions or concerns. Nice to work with someone who stands by their word and takes pride in their work. Would definitely hire again.

It went great. Anthony professionalism is impecable. I hired New Angle Construction to did another bathroom, and we were so pleased that we did not hesitate to hire them again. Everything was perfect. Price, cratfmanship, taking care of teh details and go beyond of what it was agreed upon. They are highly recommended.

NEw Angle was willing to take over the project after the original hired did not continued with the project. New Angle took it after demolition, debris removal and some framing work done. Anthony and Nick work was OUTSTANDING! The outcomes was amazing. Words that describe their work include profesional, punctuality, accommodating, listening, great craftsmanship, detail-oriented. We were so please with their work that we have already hired them to do the other bathroom. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM! The total amount spent included items that we supply including tile, vanity, toilet, faucets, shower accessories.

It was a pleasure working with New Angle Comstruction. Very professional from beginning to end. Love our Bathroom, came out just as we expected.

Anthony and Nick’s ability not only in the work but also with the design planning was wonderful. You can truly see all their experience. Very Conscientious, courteous, clean and prompt.

Porch railings and spindles done when promised, for excellent price, attractive result, cleaned up on completion. Doors were installed when promised, for quoted price, quality doors, quality installation. Again cleaned up on completion. Excellent work ethic, personable and polite.

I love New Angle! Anthony was professional and prompt, and Lizzie was attentive and organized. He did beautiful work; now my dingy basement has two bedrooms and an entertainment area with built-in shelves to hold everything. I would most definitely hire them again. They charged a reasonable price and itemized the bill so there were no hidden costs. When Anthony found water damage, he discussed options and costs with me before he took action. He was able to fix the damage at minimal cost. Overall, it was a great experience!

Anthony and Elizabeth at New Angle Construction were such a pleasure to work with. Anthony could not have done a better job on the wall I hired him to build as well as installing a door and painting the new wall and door. He was prompt, professional and most importantly the quality of his work was exceptional. I will no doubt use New Angle again for future projects and I implore everyone here to use them as well.
