Technician Ben arrived promptly as scheduled. Found a communication problem with system probably due to a electrical surge. Could not clear error so he immediately called manufacturer and he resolved problem quickly. Very happy to have system running again. I am always pleased with any service completed by this technician and Appolo.

The price might have been so reasonable because I don't remember, if it was a lot, I would have remembered it to be a lot. I like that they're here when they said they were going to be here.
Description of Work: I have Appolo Heating and Cooling come out at the change of season so like at Spring and in the Fall to make sure my air-conditioning is okay for the Summer and my heating system is okay for the Winter.

We had been Appolo customers for six years. We have had okay service during that time, but when things got tough they really dropped the ball. As a result we were without hot water for TWO WEEKS. Appolo came to our house to fix our oil boiler, which also heats our hot water. The boiler kept "locking out" which means that it is either dirty or not adjusted properly. They cleaned the boiler and adjusted it, charged for the service, and left. The next day the boiler locked out again. I called them again, and a new technician came out and said we needed a new pump for the boiler. He said it would hopefully be there by the afternoon. However, it was the Wednesday before July 4th weekend. They ordered the pump, and we had to wait over the entire four day weekend for it to arrive. Monday came, and they installed the pump in the afternoon. After leaving, the boiler spewed black smoke, and, sure enough, it locked out again within a few hours. I called Appolo again, and they sent out a technician who worked on it for a few hours. He said he was stumped, and would call the factory for some ideas. Two days later I hadn't heard from them. I called their service manager, who said he was working his way "down his list". I was shocked that we weren't at the top of the list after having a nonworking boiler for 9 days. In any case, he said he would talk to his technicians and call me back. He never called. Whenever I call he is "in a meeting." Whether that's true or not, the fact that they did not make any effort to prioritize my calls shows that they don't really care about a long term customer relationship. Each time I called it was like they had never heard of me. So, now I'm off to find a new oil burner service company.
Description of Work: Attempted and failed to fix our oil boiler.

From the very first time we called for a quote to the final scheduling and followup two months later Appolo did an excellent job. John the sales rep was fantastic: patient, flexible, helpful. (Funny, too: on his first visit to get details for a quote he was so impressed with the age of the handler in the attic he took a pic with his cell to share with the folks in the office!) After settling on the equipment and making a date for installation, the crew of two arrived promptly in the am and were completely done by mid-afternoon. They were so organized and neat there was nothing to cleanup indoors, and all the old equipment was removed. About a week later we had a slight issue with the thermostat; Appolo sent someone promptly to fix it. The warranty is superior as is the service contract. Appolo is terrific.
Description of Work: Complete replacement of central A/C system: outdoor condensor and pad (10 years old) and internal air handler (30 years old!) including ductwork.

Five years after installation air handler flooded out of the back side of unit, causing damage to attic insulation, sheet rock, and paint. Insurance co. representative, environmental clean up team, and two independent a/c contractors agree that entire handler was installed improperly; the condensate pan tilts away from the overflow pan and the cut-off switch. Pan has premature wear and must be replaced. Mr. Charles Simmons, a "field manager" from Apolo vehemently and aggressively denied any accountability on behalf of Appolo for the improper installation. He does admit, however, that it is not normal for water to run out of the back end of a unit but his excuse for denying responsibility for repairing the unit is that we have chosen not to use Appolo to do a/c maintenance. Mr. Simmons not only refuses to repair what Appolo did incorrectly but he also refused to give us his name until the insurance representative came into the picture and witnessed his behavior. When we called the company the operator also refused to give the name of the actual owner of Appolo. They tried to give me Mr. Simmons' name and the name of one of his peers. To date, we do not know who the actual owner(s) of Appolo is(are). Another important fact: potential customers should know that Appolo will not provide service contracts on equipment THEY installed after the equipment is more that 8 years old.
Description of Work: Purchased home new. Appolo was contracted by developer and installed heating and air conditioning system.
