I knew our pressure tank needed to be replaced, so I sent an email to the Aquasource secretary asking to schedule annual maintenance AND please quote an Amtrol Well-X pressure tank. She called a few days later, scheduled the maintenance and quoted $807 for the pressure tank (a very inflated price, but it's a job I can't do myself). I pressed her on this, wanting to make sure she knew the new tank was different from the one we have (current one is AO Smith). She assured me that this was the only one they sold, and I was all set. Each time I tried to speak, she talked over me, assuring me that she knew exactly what I wanted and that everything was all set. On the appointed day, the technician arrived, and when I got home an hour later, had most of the system disassembled in preparation for replacing the pressure tank. When I noticed that the replacement tank was a Goulds tank, I told him that I had requested an Amtrol tank, showed him a copy of the email, and said I didn't want the Goulds tank. (For clarity, the Amtrol tank I chose weighs 139 lbs - the walls of the tank are much thicker - and it has the thickest butyl diaphram on the market, whereas the Goulds tank weighs 90 lbs and makes no claim on their diaphram). Not being able to resolve the situation himself, the technician gave me the owner's number and I placed a call to Steve. I was met with the most hostile person I have ever encountered. Steve yelled at me for calling, yelled at the technician for giving out his number, then threatened me, saying that if I did not have THAT tank installed right THEN, I would have to find another company to do the work. I suggested that I would really like some time to make an informed decision because $807 (plus installation cost) was a lot of money for me, but Steve was relentless in his abuse. Even though I suggested that he take a minute to think this over, he continued to assault me with insulting assertions. So there I stood, with the water system non-functioning, knowing that the pressure tank was very much in need of replacing. Between a rock and a hard place, a lot of money, and an owner that clearly did not deserve my business.

We've had several people from Aquasource come out and do different work for us the last few years. They are very knowledgeable and do great work.

They quoted about $350 for replumbing the water heater exhaust, and I hired them. A new employee who had no other work that day came. He worked very slowly and talked continually, but since I had a quote, I didn't care. He torn a white plastic vapor barrier and he said he was going out to buy white tape. I told him black tape was fine, but he thought it was important and bought white tape. I asked him about a new humidistat I bought but hadn't gotten around to installing; he said he could install in less than an hour as long as he was there. I let him. The bill was for about $650; they billed me for all his time, rather than for the quote. It included an hour or so for the time he spent buying white tape! I called and complained. The owner agree to revise the bill to the quote and an hour of time to install the humidistat. I paid it immediately. 18 months later I got a statement saying I still owed them $45. Except for the bizarre billing I would have been satisfied ------------------------------ Since this review, they have been sending me statements every 6 months saying I owe them $45. Bizarre.
