Thank you for contacting us. Unfortunately, at this time, we are not doing any upholstery work. Our upholsterer recently retired, after over 40 years, and we have not been able to find a replacement that does his quality of work. Sincerely, Tichenor Furniture Services,Inc.

The pieces came back looking as good as new. They responded right away to attempt to contact by phone and email. I had the repairs appraised by an insurance assigned repair person and Tichenor's estimate was at the same range. They normally charge for pick-up and delivery of the furniture. I delivered the furniture in a snow storm and they were kind enough to offer to send it back to me for free. This alone shaved off about $50-100 off the price of repairs. The final bill was the same as the estimate. Very happy with the results.

The date is approximate. I called them and was told someone would call me back as they had just stepped out. No one called so I called again and was told there were experiencing computer issues and their system needed to replaced. Again no one called me back. I sent them pictures of the piece of furniture I wanted to reupholstered. Still no one returned my call or email. I'm done and not impressed with their service. To date 1/20/14 I have never been contacted in any way.

I contacted the provider by email. I verbally described the damage to my antique T-back dinning room chair. They never replied.

Was able to quickly set up a time to do the estimates. Within three days of original call, two people from the company arrived on time to assess the items to be estimated. There was snow on the ground and the front entrance to the house was obstructed with snow and equipment since we are working on the front entry to the house. First comment was a gruff "well, I guess we're not good enough to use the front door". Our apology for the obstructions etc. went unheeded with no response. After examining the chairs (which they did very efficiently) , one of the reps remarked that she was going to use the front door to leave. When we told her she couldn't because it wasn't possible because it wasn't accessible, we were quite obviously running her day. The estimate came about three weeks later than we were told to expect it. We turned it down because we had no desire to deal with them again.

Exellent. They came when stated and returned when stated

They do charge a little more but the quality is superb. If you take in an older piece they will research that piece to make sure it is done to the original style.

They do an amazing job. You wouldn't even know that some of these piece were previously distressed. They have a great selection of fabrics for upholstery. Mary, who takes care of the fabrics, has a really great eye for materials. Their service is provided at an excellent value.

Tichenor does an awesome job. They are not cheap, but they are very good. Their expertise were wonderful. They do a lot of antique repairs and gave me a list of options rather than telling me what I had to do. I had it done my way.

Striped chair of old stuffing and webbing. Added new material and did a beautiful job with the new fabric. Could not be happier with the result. Job was completed ahead of time for the agreed upon price.

Tichenor Furniture Service actually went over whether I should buy or reupholster to see which would be better in quality. They even altered the framing work of the couch and made it matched the design. They are very well know for fixing antiques.
