PH Pool & Spa Service

They were fantastic. We had little to no hope for this pool that was built in the 50's and has gone unused for many years. Paul came shortly after our initial call to give us an estimate and projected a three week lead time (we decided to do this at the peak of the busy season) and assured us that he had seen worse and to not worry. (We had had another pool company come the previous year and recommended we abandon the pool and put in a new one for 70K.) PH Pools came three weeks later, as promised, and finished up by the end of the week. They were all very professional and patient with me with all the questions I had concerning pool maintenance as this was our first pool. I would highly recommend them.

I called PH on a Thursday, they were able to schedule an inspection on the following Tuesday. On th initial call they told me to check a couple different things based on my description of the problem and if it turned out to be one of those issues and I fixed it to call back and cancel the appointment. The office person told me the fee for the trip to inspect would be $50. If they had to come back to make the repair their would be no additional trip charge. They also told me the hourly rate and the total bill would be the trip charge, the hourly rate and any parts. I checked what they suggested, however, it was not one of the issues they had mentioned. The service person came on the Tuesday. Fixed the problem. Left the old part for me to inspect. I received a call from the office person letting me know my hot tub was repaired and what the repair was. They mailed me an invoice and I sent them a check. Everything went very smooth with them from intial phone call to repair and payment.

Someone to work on hot tubs are few and far between because a lot of these pool guys cant do hot tubs. I picked him for that reason and he is close. He is pretty good but I don't have much to compare him against. He comes when he says he will come, I don't think he is absorbent in his speed and he is pleasant and he is clean. He cleans up after himself.

Our SPA came with the home purchase. It had been blowing fuses for 2 years - to the point that we shut it down and called PH Pool on recommendation of Clover Pools. PH Pool came out and noted a electrical issue that would need to be resolved prior to the SPA being fixed - and noted that electrical issue may or may not resolve the SPA issue, but it would need to be resolved to eliminate the possibility. Once the electrical service was upgraded, Peter cam back out and fixed the heater coil which solved the issue!! I gave PH Pool a and quot;Band quot; on responsiveness only due to their being very busy and we had to wait a 3-4 weeks for the initial visit - and I did call in a couple for times to insure we were and quot;still on the listand quot; as we had been told they would get to us in a couple of weeks. They were apologetic, but explained that they were very busy with pool openings - and they would get us in ASAP. I would chalk this up to a good quality services always in high demand - although a pro active phone call would have yielded an and quot;Aand quot; rating for this area.
