It went great. They did a great deal of work with the pointing, cementing the basement where the hot water heater and furnace are ant two stainless steel pipes were installed. Very neat. They are like a provider is supposed to be!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am posting this for my friend. She saw an advertisement in local Long Island paper. Called them, guy came out charged her $500 and STOLE her chimney cap, then tried to sell it to a neighbor! This is a typical Irish Traveler ( gypsy) scam! I am very surprised to see this company got 3 "A"'s perhaps they don't know what they really did. You need to be careful when a company uses numerous phone numbs that come back to numerous addresses. She called the company guy agreed to return and bring it back- NEVER did.

Certified Chimney Service was reasonable. They were professional, on time and very honest. I thought they did a really good job and they were clean. They are As across the board. They could have gotten away with saying "oh you need to do this and you need to do that." I wouldn't have known any difference but they investigated and they were honest about it so I like that.

Ray was very knowledgeable..He even gave advise on how to better use the fireplace to emit the greatest amount of heat. He also gave an estimate for re-cementing the top of chimney ( cracked), but didn't push to rectify of the problem immediately. I was very pleased, and have already recommended this company to others!

The men arrived on time and worked steadily. They did a good job (I watched them) and cleaned up well.

Just bought a new house and called for a chimney sweep to be ready for the winter. A team of guys from Certified Chimney arrived and pointed out several issues with the chimney that were not up to code. The most important was the lack of a lining in the furnace side of the stack. Former owners did not line the chimney after a gas conversion. Certified lined the chimney, fixed some broken masonry on the chimney, and replaced the pipes coming from the gas appliances to the chimney that were not up to code. While here they cleaned the gutters and removed an old antena. They explained it to me and showed examples of what they were talking about. Highly professional and very neat. We will use them again.

I called a couple of chimney companies when I spotted something suspicious on the exterior of the chimney. The 1st vendor let me know that the chimney needed a lining, as there was an oil burner replacement which the chimney was not accomodating properly. The CSIA website was informative and confirmed what I was told about the chimney/oil burner situation. My due diligence came up with only positive information on this company. The appointment was for an estimate, but they showed up ready to do the job. Initially, I did not want to get the job done on the spot, but the technician showed me how terra-cotta residue was coming down the flue. The job was done on the spot & the price was much lower than the prior estimate. At this point, I am satisifed with the speed and professionalism of the job. One more headache is off my To-Do list.
