Description of Work: They showed up with three or four men to do my $58 chimney sweep, After inspecting the house, they reported that I needed work in addition to the chimney sweep, mainly installing a stainless steel liner in the chimney for my boiler, for $5,000. They included some other work, for a total of $5,800. | |I should have waited and got another estimate, but I wanted to get the work done and said go ahead. Two hours later, they were done. | |Recently I saw on Angie's List a quote of $1,300 for stainless steel liner, which makes me wonder about the price I paid. | |I will say that the crew seemed professional and friendly, and I have no complaints about the work. But I wonder about the price...

Description of Work: They came all the way from Long Island. I didn't hear the knock at the door so they left a card on the door. I returned their call and it turns out that they are not licensed to work in my area. They were great but just wasn't able to do the work.

Description of Work: Jason & Rocco arrived with the upmost professionalism to service the house chimney. Jason explained the cleaning method and how to avoid a chimney fire. The objective is to clean your chimney to remove creosote (black looking charcoal) which when ignited will burn exceeding 2000 o! Jason meticulous entered into home, having Rocco who would sweep chimmy above from the roof, set up the ladder and to know his every move. The process cleaned out the chimney, the firebox, damper, and the smoke chamber with creosote. With upmost professionalism, pet friendly, (6 dog, two cat house) the project went like clockwork! Here I experienced a 10 10 STAR FAMILY COMPANY! Highly recommend Jason & Rocco the team members and Certified Chimney for service cleaning along with Jeanette friendly and proficiency to pick up the phone and make a appointment go very well.

Description of Work: We had to reschedule a few times and wait for them, but they showed up and cleaned up the chimney and the boiler at a great price. The office manager is very hands on and answers all the calls and returns all the calls. They offer other services that they will pitch for so keep your budget in mind. Thanks

Description of Work: Major overhaul of chimney, liner replacement, caps installed, damper, masonry work

Description of Work: They were scheduled to arrive between 10 & 1. After 1 I started calling the office, back & forth calling, they didn't arrive until 4, they didn't leave until 6:15. I paid Angie's list $59 for a chimney cleaning & inspection. I had to pay another $266 for the work they did. After the inspection they found additional problems they said would cost another $1200 to fix. I will get other estimates.

Description of Work: Installed pop-up damper & sealed cracks in chimney to eliminate back draft and water leaks. had to return because damper did not close properly. Ran damper pull through existing damper, cannot use existing damper...very sloppy. Over winter damper would not open properly, could not use...still have back draft issue. Now experiencing water leaks again. Will use another company.

Description of Work: These guys were great. Came out for an inspection and gave us honest answers and good advice. We had another company that said we needed repairs of about $2,500...turns out the work they said we had to have ASAP was not even necessary.
