Preferred Flooring

I’m really surprised to see the negative reviews on here. Rich came into a very badly botched job and was able to work with my contractor to fix the floors and now my floors are perfect. I had given my contractor money to do the entire floor and he had done a terrible job. After finding Preferred Flooring to fix the floor, we later discovered that my contractor did not include all the floors in the estimate for Preferred Flooring. Rich went above and beyond to talk to my contractor on our behalf, knowing our predicament, to do the job right, and getting the contractor to pay the cost of the extra work to do so. I cannot recommend Preferred flooring enough. A lot of companies would not want to come into a job half way and done badly by someone else, to try and fix it, for fear of dealing with customers who are already at their wits’ end. Not only was Rich coming in to fix the disaster that our contractor created, but he made sure that it was fixed with no additional cost to us.

In the beginning I thought it looked nice, but within the first seven days, which I was not in the house for as I did not want to step on the floors (wanting to let them dry for a week, when I came back on the eighth day, there were polyeurathane bubbles in all the floorboards in all the rooms. Too many to count. I put a call into Rich and he called me back on a Sunday and said he would have his guys here on Thursday. He never showed up and he never called me back. I called him 3 more times within the week and after threatening to go to the Better Business Bureau he called me back and sent his guy over 2 weeks later. At which time he said it was no fault of theirs, it was the weather. He then charged me another $200.00 to fix the problem and here it is a month later and I still have the bubble problems. It's not as bad as it first was, but I am definitely not a happy or satisfied customer. My advice is never call this company

They seemed responsive at first and then dropped the ball and never completed the job.
