I live in Atlanta. I looked up EBJ in New York and hired company to do my dad's home appraisal. Personnel was on time and returned documents to us promptly. I chose company because of pricing.

It was a pleasure working with Erik. After speaking with him directly more than once during our evaluation process, we agreed to hire Erik to perform a professional appraisal of our mother's home prior to offering it up for sale. His fee was competitive and more than fair. As a family, we agreed an independent appraisal was necessary to establish an accurate value of the home before we set a price. Erik arrived at the home at the prescribed time and, after reviewing again his process, he began his walk-through of the home and property and collecting photos of the home and grounds. He followed up with detailed questions to complete his information-gathering task. Erik was very polite, friendly and respectful of our intentions to sell our mother's home to finance her new living arrangements at an assisted-living facilty (she's 95 years old!). Within days he emailed me his thorough appraisal and also called earlier to give us a preliminary estimate. We were extremely pleased with his evaluation and this allowed us to set a price that will hopefully cover our mother's expenses for her remaining years. We followed-up with Erik with questions about how best to prepare the home for sale. He was honest with us and stated that, although he was not a realtor, he made sensible suggestions that we took to heart and we now have the home up for sale with the confidence that we will receive offers that ultimately will provide for our mother's needs for as long as necessary.
