Settling a parents estate is never an easy task so I asked A Friend for a referral on a realty company and this is how I ended up with this company. I will admit that the house was not ready to be listed due to a faulty installation on an icemaker which caused a basement flood . This combined with hurricane Irene and the tribulations associated with dealing with a mortgage company and an estate . So, it took three months for the house to be complete. It is now mid September 2016 and my listing went into effect October 31 last year. I've been wondering why I'm getting nothing but lowball offers, nothing in writing and no other action from my realtor other than asking for numerous price reductions and negativity. I did some digging and found the answer. This company is paying no commission out to real estate agents. What does simply means is if the seller has a broker than the buyer too must have a broker. Let's take this apart who has a buyer's broker in the low $300,000 range? Simply put if you go out looking for a house and it's quite normal to be five or more houses you are bringing your real estate broker. If you have not agreed to pay and hire your representative to be a buyer's broker meaning you pay the commissions you will not get to see a large amount of houses dealing with this company. *** The real estate broker will skim over your house that is not paying commissions to agents *** Everyone knows real estate works on commission and if there's no commission this is why no real estate agents are viewing the house they just pick something close to the clients needs in the area and drive past my house. I hope no one goes through what I have been through with this agency and anyone can feel free to contact me directly and I will show you the contract documents indicating that only buyers brokers get paid commissions on my listing. MY home never sold and I am forced to wait till Nov 1 to get another agent !!!!!
