Description of Work: My wife and I had decided to replace a 40 year old foyer tile floor. Several of the tiles were chipped and loose in our relatively large foyer, and the existing tiles looked very dated, We felt a a new floor would add to the value of our house. We called Charles Witschard because he had installed a new kitchen floor in our home about ten years ago, and he had done an outstanding job. We remembered that he not only installed the floor but had played a major creative role in its design. That floor, which continues to be the center piece of our renovated kitchen today, has a complex geometric design that generates positive feedback from virtually all visitors to our home. We wanted our new foyer floor to be comprised of large diamond shaped black and cream ceramic tiles to convey a sense of elegance and style and to complement the furnishings and walls that surround it. When we told Charles what we were looking for, he suggested a slightly more complex variation utilizing a distinct border to unify the overall look. We told him to incorporate his suggestion, and we were thrilled with the floor upon completion. If you are looking for a craftsman, someone who will not only professionally tile your floor, but who will also recommend artistic improvements that he is fully capable of implementing, then Charles Witschard is your man. Charles's pricing is reasonable, relative to standard pricing. But you get more than a good tiler for that price. You get an artist as well!
