Recently signed on with Tragar, was essentially told that I needed the "Gold Plus" service contract because I do not have a separate hot water heater. Only problem is that without the "Water Plan" nothing that water runs through is covered! Not the expansion tank, the circulators, etc. So we got hit with a $730 bill on the first service call. Don't worry though, we were offered $14 off the water plan to make up for this b*******. Why would anyone with a hot water system NOT want to be covered with the freakin water plan!

$1,000+ in repairs were performed on the outside unit, to clean the condenser coil and recharge refrigerant. AFTER those repairs were completed, the serviceman checked the inside unit, and informed us the evaporator coil was rusty and may be leaking, and at that point recommended replacing the entire A/C unit for $2,300! Sure enough, 6 weeks later the A/C is once again not working and has the exact same issue that was originally supposed to be repaired.

They called right back, had someone come at 11:00 pm and took about 20-40 mins for the house to heat up again. They were very professional, polite, very nice and competent. I would recommend them to anyone.

This company is the epitome of professionalism and great customer service. We worked with Ben N. to first get a quote for ductless a/c in our home before the summer began. Very professional and amazingly friendly guy to talk and do business with. He explained the process and the products very well and provided us with a quote with Tragar doing all the work as well as a quote if we decided to use our personal electrician. They would be installing two (2) 9,000 btu units (one in the basement and one in a bedroom upstairs, as well as one (1) 18,000 btu unit in the living room/kitchen area using Lennox products. At first, they were a bit out of our price range, so we shopped around keeping Tragar as the gold standard of measurement. We consulted our electrician who referred us to a friend with a business doing the same thing. He came over and gave us a quote, but it wasn't really comparable to what Tragar was offering, but it was within our budget. We sadly informed Tragar that we would be going with the cheaper service, but Tragar reps weren't going down without a fight. We communicated the information on the second offer to them, not only did they match it, they blew them out of the water. They got us not only within our budget with Tragar doing all the work and paying for the Village permits, but also added additional labor and parts warranties for 3 years. On install day, Scott and Sean showed up promptly at around 8:30 a.m. They were professional, polite, fast, and clean. Once they got to the end of their work, they called the electrician who finished up his portion of the job. I'd say the entire process was done by 1 pm or 1:30 pm. My husband and I didn't want to use another company and were thankful that Tragar countered the offer by the other company. Their work is flawless and top notch. We've been enjoying our cool home ever since. We also just recently got our rebate email from Lennox for $450. We are still waiting for the energy savers rebate from PSEG LI for $250. The total cost of the job (less the rebates) was $9,150. We paid $2K in cash and financed the remainder through Service Finance Company, which is the company Tragar works through. We highly recommend this company! We also switched from Lewis Oil to Tragar for our oil delivery needs.

It was probably one of the coldest days of the year and we had no heat. Called Tragar and they sent someone over right away. Our pipes were frozen. Dave and his workers stayed all day until they got the heat backup and running. Thank you for the professionalism and courtesy you showed me and my family. Tragar will be recommended to all my friends and family.

Since i used Tragar before they since over David he unfroze the pipes and fixed all the leaks We are so happy with this company

Contacted Tragar and they sent someone over within an hour as promised. The technician came and assessed the problem which was a cracked pipe under the sink. Dave replaced the pipe and all was good as new. He was very quick and professional. Will definitely use them again if a problem arises.

The work was so top notch I invested in a contract for my burner.

I called the emergency number and spoke with a very pleasant woman who took my info. Within 10 minutes got a call back from Chris who said a technician would be here within 1-3 hours. The technician Ryan arrived within 1 hour and quickly diagnosed the problem, a failed gasket in the oil line with a small oil leak. He explained the problem to me very clearly and patiently answered all my questions. He repaired the problem, cleaned up the leaked oil and ensured the equipment was working properly before he left. He was professional and pleasant and clearly very experienced and knowledgeable. I have been with Tragar for about 10 years and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable oil company that provides consistently superior service.

They call and let you know when they are coming. They're fine!

Trusted opinion. Another company tried to sell me a new air handler for 5K. Trager said no reason at this point to do that. Honest and professional

Called in the morning and was greeted on the phone by a very pleasant representative who quickly routed my call to a service representative Named Justin. He listened as I described the issue I was having. He then said he would be able to have a service technician out this afternoon. Upon arrival, the technician began diagnosing the unit and found a wire that had dried and became disconnected causing the compressor to not turn on. He repaired the wire and the unit was back in working order. (And still is a week later)

Excellent! The technician, Juan, arrived earlier than expected and he was efficient, neat and personable.

THE TECHNICIANS THAT COME OUT ARE ALWAYS PLEASANT AND PROVIDE EXPLANATIONS OF WHAT MIGHT BE OCCURRING WITH OUR SYSTEM THE OFFICE STAFF IS ALWAYS RESPONSIVE AND FRIENDLY- OVERALL TRAGAR IS EASY TO WORK WITH, AND I CALL WITH CONFIDENCE THAT THERE WILL BE A GOOD RESULT!

They came quickly and had it working in a timely fashion. They are very clean and very professional when they work. They customer service is wonderful and very helpful.

I don't remember any more. They were good. (Price) A little on the high side but you are getting the advantage of using a fuel this not so bad on the atmosphere.

(Punctuality) They are good. (Use again) I hope so. Things change, One never knows. They use an oil that had 10%, I can't think of it right now. Bio fuel. They use bio fuel which is 90% fuel and 10%- when you go to the gas station for your car you get 10% gas I use 10% ethanol. Its basically the some thing on your oil burner. That why I'm using them. There are a couple of companies, not too many on Long Island that do that. They find that it had a lot of negatives to it and I dont think that. Its helping the atmosphere.

Everyone on staff was responsible, helpful and available to assist us as we sold our home and their prices have always been competitive.

The system wasn't working properly after the purchase. After the third time sending somebody he ended up fixing it but there was still a leak. After the last guy who came he actually fixed the repair and now it works great.

Their service calls are fantastic and they definitely go the extra mile.
