They did a good job. It was a long wait getting them to come but they did what they said they would and I was perfectly satisfied with that. They were very busy but, they came the next day looked at it and then said well it will be two weeks before we can come. They did the job did it quickly, it worked as I said the only thing I thought was that they took them a long time to get here but that's okay.

They were excellent! Really top notch. Pricing was reasonable; I was surprised about price. They weren't like other tree guys: They didn't charge too much, they fixed the problem, and they didn't follow up and try to sell too much. They were very professional.

I would not use them again. There wasn't much communication between the Foreman and the people actually doing the work.

They had to have a cherry picker available and they showed up on time. I think the grades tell all, but anyone who uses them would be very satisfied with their work.

Davey Tree Service in West Babylon has been providing service to my property for about 20 years. They've done a satisfactory job, & that's why I continued to use them for so long. Every year, they sent me a contract to sign; I signed it, sent it back to them, & they did the tree spraying. This year, I didn't receive the annual contract from them, & I completely forgot about it until I started seeing caterpillars & other bugs all over the place. At my age, my memory isn't what it used to be, but the bugs reminded me that something was amiss. I emailed Davey, & asked what had happened to the contract. They responded that they had sent it out to me in November, 2014. I'm not disputing that, but I just didn't get the contract. What upset me was that after 20 years of using their service, there was no follow-up from them about "did I receive the contract?", or "are you not using our service anymore?' Nothing. By the time I figured out what happened, it was too late for the first spraying, borderline late for the middle spraying, but still time for the third spraying. Davey emailed me a copy of the contract they say they mailed me in November. I saw that their prices had increased a bit. As an act of good faith, I asked them to do the third spraying, but at the previous price (before the increase). They refused, & would not do it for the prior price. The old price was about $213, & the new price was about $220. The increase, including tax, was $7 (SEVEN). They refused to give a 20 year customer a $7 (SEVEN) single-time, price roll-back. Needless to say, I will not be using Davey again. If you're looking for a company who appreciates your business, you should look elsewhere. This is a company that takes your money for 20 years, then acts like they don't know you. I can get that kind of attitude anywhere, from a new company that really doesn't know me.

Called and was disconnected-- I called back and the woman seemed annoyed, placed me on hold again and was disconnected, then she called back and told me my phone was bad and to call when I fixed it, HOW RUDE

Highly professional provider of lawn and tree services including fertilizing, weed control, pesticides and tree pruning/removal. They have done all these things for me, I am very satisfied. and still use them. The price may seem high but we have a half acre and lots of tall trees.

Things went very well. Chris sent a very experienced crew. They worked continuously with a short lunch break. The job took 1 1/2 days to complete. I was a little nervous when the crew first arrived and Chris had not yet come to oversee the job. The workmen were asking me questions and I suggested they wait for Chris' instructions. He did show up a short time after the men then, he left. I was expecting to have seen Chris return to our house to review the end of the first day's work when most of the work had been finished. He did not come. There was a period of time between the day the job began, Nov. 13th and the second day to finish Nov. 26th where I had not known what the plans were. It turned out to be fine. The job finished to my satisfaction. The workmen were courteous, polite and knowledgeable. In addition, without my asking, Chris had one of the men trim a Japanese Maple tree we have as well. I value Chris' opinion as a certified arborist.

Davey Tree came up on list when I optioned "quick Quote". Called number, rep said I would have to wait 5 days for "Quick Quote". Are you kidding me? I said cannot wait and hung up. Please do not advertise a quick quote when one is not available. I will find another tree service, thank you.

They were good. I had no problems. They did what they needed to do. My trees ended up being fine. This was a few years ago. They came and repaired my tree. The prices were reasonable and fair.

It all goes smooth. You don't have to be home for this service.

I have no complains with The Davey Tree Co - West Babylon. They did a great job. I got my money worth it. They did what they said they were going to do. They didn’t mess the yard or messed up anything. They are professional.

Work done professionally and as promised. From the day of Estimate to the day they came to grind the stumps, everything went perfect. Cleaned up afterwards. Pleasant and professional all the way. I will use this company again for future landscaping needs and will even tell others about them. A+++++++++ for this company.

I got the estimated from several other landscaping companies. They seem to be little expensive than all others.

Very Disappointing and stressful! Made an appointment for an estimate to trim 3 oak trees, and asked where I was referred from, told them Angie's List after reading the reviews here. Thought it might make them especially attentive to my service, since it would be likely I'd be leaving a review, but that wasn't the case. Arborist who inspected the job was very thorough in answering my many questions and attentive to my strong concern of not over trimming. I especially stressed not to trim the low hanging branches that I like. Considering that, I asked how access to the highest parts of the trees would be possible, since the low branches over my driveway entrance looked too low to allow a truck to the trees farther back on the property, but I wanted the arborist to say that, which he did, saying the branches were too low and they could not be simply pushed aside for the truck, they're too thick. So climbing the tree was discussed, we ultimately agreed the low hanging branches over the driveway didn't allow for a truck to enter the property. I asked how a climber would know what branches to cut from their perspective inside the tree and was told a second person would guide the trimmer to the necessary branches. It would take more time to do the job by climbing instead of truck but they'd do by climbing I was told. Decided to go ahead with the job based on the thoroughness of the answers to my concerns. Several days later made an appointment, which I believe I later changed from afternoon to morning, but no show that morning, was told it was for the afternoon, maybe my mistake, but could have been a non-issue by a 1 day confirmation by Davey. I suggest they consider doing that as my electrician does. When I returned home from work I was immediately concerned upong seeing the lower branches at driveway entrance were all oddly bent down to the height of the top of my car and mis shapen, but relieved the lower branches were not cut as we agreed. However upon much closer inspection and confirmation by my wife it was clear a bucket truck had been driven onto the property and damaged the lower branches, stripping the bark off some, cracking others, necessitating their removal - so much for the low hanging branches on the first tree. One of the other oaks wasn't dead wooded, the walnut not completely deadwooded (among which the obviosly broken branch hanging down the arborist and I noted upon on initial meeting wasn't removed). So not too happy had to call to rectify, but how to fix something that can't be put back? Was told the low hanging branches could be tied to not hang so low. They returned, but simply cut the lowest hanging branches damaged by the bucket truck and did a bit more deadwooding of the one oak missed but not completely all the way up the tree - and the walnut revisited too (though there is still deadwood left at the top of the tree). Thought they'd offer me a discount for the trouble, but no. Now super storm Sandy blows through with no damage, but how do they not just say Sandy did what they damaged? Too much b.s. already to take any more time on this anyway. One good part of job was overall tree shaping was done as discussed. Failure on Davey's part was either our agreement wasn't communicated by the arborist to the job foreman or the forman just blew off what he was instructed to do. Morale of the story is: Don't let anyone work on your property without your direct supervision or it doesn't get done right or the way you want!

We knew we needed tree work, checked several and Davey's was prompt and professional with reasonably good pricing. They showed up when theysaid they would (taking into consideration weather since they had to spray). They called us sufficiently in advance to schedule the work and showed up on time and did a great job.

They were great. We had a big, old tree that we thought was going to fall on the house. They didn't leave a mess and they cleaned up. I would recommend them. Their prices are good because we shopped around. They didn't damage anything. They did exactly what we wanted.
