Once again I hired M & S. Again, the work was perfect and they were professional. Again, I recommend them to the entire Angie's List community and anyone else that needs a competent plumber. Can't find better!

Excellent - Mike and his son are the best. M&S was more than prompt and as always, did a professional job. I have used them several times in the past, will continue to use them, and do not hesitate to recommend them to anyone who needs a good, fair, reliable plumber.

So we needed a plumber (yeah, another pinhole leak - common in our area). I tried calling some of the plumbers that had been recommended to me, but I seemed to get the same recording no matter who I called: "mailbox full". Then I lookied on Angie's List and found M&S Plumbing in Hicksville. I called on Saturday night. The number rang right to owner Michael Silvestri's home home. Michael's wife answered the phone. She was very sweet and told me Michael wasn't in but would call me back in a couple of hours. He called me back exactly when she said. He was prepared to come first thing the next morning (Sunday), but I had temporarily patched the leak, so we made an appointment for 10am Monday. I planned on sitting around all day waiting, but Michael actually showed up early - a little after nine (he called first to ask if it was okay). In addition to the pinhole, I had him rework a bunch of pipes around the water heater that had become a mess as water heaters were replaced and changes were made over the years. Michael did a great job, and his price was reasonable (not cheap, but not expensive either - right about what it should have been). We also chatted a great deal after he was done, and I found him to be both a nice guy and an extremely knowledgeable craftsman. I can highly recommend this licensed and insured master plumber to anyone who needs.

Professional. Did exactly what needed to be done. Left everything as clean as before he came. Pleased with his work.

Mike is an on time, hard working guy. He took the time to point out some electric work that needed looking into to and took the time to answer questions.

We've used Mike twice. Once to replace a kitchen hose & again recently to fix a leaky faucet. He is an excellent Plummer, reliable & honest.

Mike is the best! This is the fifth time I've used his plumbing services (3 times at my house and 2 times at my mom's house). I initially found M&S Plumbing through Angie's list and selected him based on all the excellent reviews. This most recent repair was at my mom's house and I trust him to the point that I felt completely comfortable with him going to her house when I could not be there (she is elderly and has an aide). Mike is a pro - he explains what needs to be done, offers alternatives if appropriate, and gives his opinion when asked. As far as the work done, it was consistent with prior work - professional, clean, and well done. I will and have used him as a repeat customer. I will and have recommended him to friends.

He is a very bad attitude and a loud mouth. He talked down to me. He wasn't able to help with my plumbing issue, but that wasn't the issue. What I have a problem with is his attitude. He seemed mad that he couldn't charge me for the job.

All work done fast, professional and neat. Will recommend and use again. A pleasure to have a reliable plumber you can trust. Thanks Michael !

A true professional! He got the job done. Mike found and fixed our leaks. For one leak he replaced some piping.In the process he noticed a slow drain (we had gotten used to), he suggested what can do by ourselves for it and now that's fixed too! Pricing only good....if he had done it for free it would be excellent! Good job we would definitely use him again.

Called M&S in the morning after not getting a response from my regular plumber. Mike was responsive and professional. Arrived at the time stated. Had the part and was done in a few hours. Overall a good experience.

called mike and the short story is not only did he return calls BUT actually showed up on time as scheduled....GOLD STAR in my book given how contractors seem to work lately. we thought the problem was a bum diverter and cartridge in our kitcen faucet and tried to fix ourselves but were stumped by the set screw which we could not remove. mike came, tried to remove the screw and found it was stripped so he could take it off but would destroy the handle cap in the process so we needed to get that replaced as well before he could perform the work. rohl faucets is the manufacturer....beautiful stuff, expensive stuff, but crap and hard to fix just so you know. only good thing is that they replace parts for no charge and we got all the parts quickly so we called mike back. he performed those repairs but the problem turned out not to be the faucet diverter, etc BUT it was the hand sprayer itself.....apparently has a separate diverter built in. we then called rohl again for that replacement part. i have to mention at this point that so far, mike had shown up 2 times, spent about 3 hours total and hadn't yet taken a dime. we got that add'l part and called mike back...he came same day in fact and spend another hour to do the final replacement and in all, he charged us $250 total ... AMAZING ! great guy, great work, not a scammer or fly-by-night contractor (as many lately seem to be) and he calls back and shows up.....GOLD STARS x 2 in my book

The owner, Mike Silvestri is a courteous professional, who is both creative and skilled. He suggested several solutions to our plumbing problem, giving both the positive and negative reasons for each. Mike made me feel comfortable with the work to be done as well as the price. He and his assistant (who was equally as good) did a great job and my wife and I couldn't be more pleased.

Our handyman and another plumber were unable to fix our leaking bathroom faucet. The fittings were located inside the wall, and we were told that we would have to break the wall and replace the tiles in order to fix the leak. Mike found a fault in the original installation and went out to find a replacement faucet. He had to go to three different distributors and do a little detective work, but he finally found a unit that would work. The new faucet functions flawlessly, and our bathroom wall is still intact. We are very pleased. Mike is truly an expert who knows plumbing, both how to repair and all the parts. He really does the job right.

My family and i returned home from vacation to multiple burst pipes due to the extreme cold weather. Our house was frozen, our main floor had severe water damage and our basement had 2 feet of water in it. After a frantic search for a plumber Mike Silvestri from M&S called me back and was at my house first thing the next morning after the service magic pumped out the water. I was worried at first since i never used them in the past but my concerns were quickly alleviated once they arrived. These guys are absolute professionals! Mike, Nick and Mike's two sons arrived at our house and went straight to work on the project. They searched for and identified all the breaks in the water lines, got our boilers up and running and replaced the water heater that broke. They were extremely knowledgable, courteous, and very clean. My wife and I were very pleased with the quality their work and could not have been happier with their responsiveness. We would highly recommend them to anyone. Thanks guys!!!

My pipes burst in my house while i was on vacation. I returned to a flooded house with severe water damage. I was referred to M&S but was worried at first since I never used them in the past. My fears were quickly put at ease when they arrived. Mike Silvestri, Nick and Mike's two son's arrived at my house and went straight to work. They identified all the leaks from 4 broken pipes, made all necessary repairs, fixed my two downed boilers and water heater and more. These guys are absolute professionals! They knew exactly what to do, attacked the project as soon as they arrived and didn't stop until the job was done. In addition, they we kind, courteous and a pleasure to deal with throughout. My wife and I could not have been happier with their work and we would highly recommend anyone to use M&S Plumbing.

Mike was at my house first thing in the morning. They had to replace the washers on the faucets in the shower because they were leaking. All the work was expedited in a timely manner at a fair price. So nice to know that there's a local plumber that's trustworthy and professional.

Excellent.I recommended Mike to my sister in law. She was very pleased. Work was done sooner than expected. Very neat, cleaned up extremely well. He came immediately for estimate and was able to get the parts and do the work the next day.

It was an emergency call and he came right away, which we like and he did what he was supposed to do. They did a good work. I would use them again.
